"You ready?" Alex asked as Nikka opened the door. He moved in closer to her, looking at her eyes, and wondering what she was thinking. He knew that she will still have pain, but that was besides the point.

Nikka gazed back, smiling slightly. "Ready for what?" she asked, trying to ignore the pain in her back when she leaned against the door frame.

"Everyone is being called to the meeting. Well almost everyone. They want you to come too." Alex put out his arm for Nikka to grab.

Nikka nodded slightly. "Alright.." she said quietly, taking Alex's arm. She leaned against him with most of her weight, still feeling weak.

Reaching the main hall, they both took a seat by each other, and listened to what was told to them. Alex nodded his head, but then realized that the problem might get worse.

"We want everyone to be rested up and ready to fight when needed."

After the meeting, Alex took Nikka back to her room.

Nikka sighed in relief when she got back to her room. She was still exhausted from lack of sleep. She smiled at Alex, and lingered in the doorway, still unsure about going into her room alone. After Thomas... she shivered.

Alex looked at her with a question in his face. "If you don't feel right about staying here, I got an extra bed in my room, you can stay there if you want to." Alex walked into her room and sit on the bed to wait.

"I don't know.. It's just.. it still smells like blood in here... and the memories won't fade.." Nikka stammered, biting her lip.

Alex got up and put his arms around her. He started to cry and the tears he couldn't stop. Like a little baby, and now that he was older, he still cried to fall asleep again. But he was tired too, but wanted to protect Nikka at any costs.

Nikka wraped her arms around Alex, and buried her face in his shoulder. She didn't want to cry, but the sobs wouldn't stop. She felt horrible, and she had just killed someone. Even if it was a dirty werewolf.

Glancing up, Alex took Nikka by the arms and sit her on the bed. He took another look outside the door and noticed that there where others in the hall. They had worried looks on their faces and some had bags in their arms. Where were they going?

"I love you Nikka, but I want you to be strong now, and put this behind you. We got to get through this. So I will be back soon." Alex took off down the hall to his room.

Nikka bit her lip, and nodded before he left. She glanced up, and wiped the tears off of her cheeks and chin. She stood up slowly, and watched those who lingered in the hallways, wondering what exactly was going on.

Alex went to talk to the high lord after going to his room. Coming back to Nikka, he touched her hand. "They are going with the high lord. Be back later this year, but want to get out of trouble. The elite vampires are coming." Alex looked down the hall again.

Nikka blinked, and glanced into the hall again. "Are we staying?" she asked, sitting on her bed.

"I have to stay. I hope you stay with me." Alex said as he stared into her eyes.
