I'm thinking we need a thread to recommend good fanfiction to each other, so here is the fanfiction thread for fanficitons about TV, Movies, and Anime.

I'd like to start of by recommending a Naruto/ Ranma 1/2 crossover called "Wild Cherry Blossom"

This fanfiction tells the story of Sakura, and how she is the reincarnation of Ranma. It's not finished, but it is very long and well written. Sakura and Ranma centric, most of the characters are 'in character', except for Sakura herself, but as you read the story the changes are understandable. A good read if you like crossover reincarnation stories.

Next i'd like to recommened 'Reflections of Ruin', a Ranma 1/2 / Sailor Moon Cross over.

Pokémon quest
Intro

“Floatzel NO!!” I shouted as one of my most trusted battle partners was being destroyed before me. Tears welled up in my eyes as I fell to my knees and pounded my fists on the ground. Floatzel had been fighting to save the Sinoh region a fight I had forced him into, and now he was about to die.
A rage flared up in me as I called Floatzel back into his poke ball before any more damage could be done.
“Alright that’s it! You wanted a fight and now you’ve got one! Luxray, get ready to avenge Floatzel and send this demon back to the realm it came from!” I shouted as I threw out another poke ball but no sooner had Luxray come out, our opponent targeted his weak points. Luxray didn’t stand a chance.
“NO! Not you too” I shouted as he was shot with dark energy from all angles. I quickly took him back.
“HA do you really think you can destroy me with the very creatures I created?” said a voice that seemed to emanate from all around me “step aside before I really get mad”
“no” I said “I won’t allow you to destroy the world, I can and will stop you” I held up the poke ball that contained my last hope “TYPHLOSION IT’S UP TO YOU” I threw the poke ball, it opened, and nothing came out…

Ch 1: my view

I awoke yelling I tore off the covers and reached for my lamp. I then realized it had been a dream. But then why had it felt so real? My mom called me
“Drake get up it’s time to eat”
“Coming” I said.
I ran downstairs ate quickly and went outside.
Twinleaf was very quiet that day as I walked around. There were no Pokemon cries, no rustling in nearby brush, and there was no wind. I paused to look around. My eyes fell on Lake Verity; there was something odd about it. I walked towards the lake trying to put my finger on the difference. Was it that the shoreline had changed, something about the big rock in the center of the lake, no it was that the water had stopped flowing normally. It was rippling towards the boulder in the center. Then a figure rose out of the lake it was hard to see at first then it changed color and I saw it was a Pokemon. It looked at me, we locked eyes, it pointed behind me, I looked and saw two people a girl and an old man. I ran towards the nearest tree and climbed up I wanted to know why they were here. When they entered suddenly everything picked up again. Wind, Pokemon, and rustling started as if they had been there all along, and the lake rippled normally.
The girl and old man stopped at the shore.
“Dawn I am sure of it something is different about Lake Verity” said the old man
“Professor there’s nothing weird about the lake” said dawn
“Perhaps the other side has been altered in some way?” the professor inquired. As he said this two boys walked up to the lakefront.
“There’s nothing weird on the other side either” said dawn
“Very well it is enough that I have seen the lake” he said.
Dawn turned towards him “professor what’s it like being back in Sinoh after 4 years?”
“Well I will say that the Sinoh region has a lot of rare Pokemon… Dawn I am heading back to my lab” he started walking
“Pro-professor wait up!” Dawn said as she ran to catch up. As they reached the boys they seemed not to notice they were blocking the way
“Excuse us, let us pass” said the professor
Dawn nodded to each of the boys as they moved “pardon me we’ll be on our way” she said and they left
One of the two boys, a blonde tall kid who seemed to be in charge, looked towards something I couldn’t see “Hey Lucas let’s go check this out” he said and he led Lucas towards some tall grass but Lucas stopped him.
“Don’t go into tall grass Barry” Lucas said
“What? Oh don’t worry we won’t be in there long enough for a wild Pokemon to attack” Barry said as he walked through.
Barry said “Look it’s a briefcase those guys must have left it here. But who were they; I heard them say something about professor…”
I sneezed and set a nest of Starly into a fit and they attacked the boys.
“Wha-what POKEMON!! What do we do?” screamed Barry. While they were struggling against the Starly they kicked the briefcase and it opened revealing three round objects. The next part I couldn’t hear because two more Pokemon showed up, a Treeko, and a Squirtle. The Pokemon fought off the Starly, during this a misplaced head but sent the third poke ball flying. It would have overshot me completely but something caught it and brought it down to me. In my mind I heard a voice “this is the beginning of your destiny” it said as the poke ball dropped into my hand, then something materialized in front of me. It was the Pokemon I had seen earlier. It blinked at me in acknowledgement and disappeared. I looked back towards the battle just in time to see the battle end and the Starly flee.
“WHOOOOOAAHH your Treeko totally rocked!! But my Squirtle was way better. But they were other peoples’ Pokemon I hope it was alright we used them” said Barry.
Then Dawn came back to the lake.
“Oh there’s the briefcase the professor would have been furious if I’d lost it” she said, and then she looked at the boys saw the poke balls and panicked “OH NO!! You didn’t use the Pokemon in here did you? Oh what’s the professor going to say?” she paced a bit then left
“We should go too, my Pokemon got hurt from that battle I’d hate to see something bad happen to the little guy” said Barry and he turned and walked away with Lucas following.
I climbed down from the tree holding the poke ball that the weird Pokemon gave me “Mesprit” suddenly a voice in my head told me what to call the Pokemon.
“Mesprit eh… well I think that I made a couple of new friends today” I said. I threw the poke ball in the air, it opened, and a little blue and red Pokemon came out
“Cyndaquil!” it said. It looked around sniffing the air, and then it ran towards me and jumped onto my shoulder. Instantly I thought of my dream and of how Cyndaquil’s final form was Typhlosion. I shook my head clearing the thoughts away and walked home.

Ch 2: my view

As I walked away from the lake I paused because I saw Lucas, Barry, Dawn, and the professor talking.
“Did you boys use my Pokemon?” asked the professor
“Yes sir” said Lucas
“But we had no choice” added Barry
“Uh-huh, may I see them?” asked the professor
He examined the Pokemon closely, stood up and pronounced “Dawn I am heading back to my lab in Sandgem, it is odd that my Cyndaquil is missing”
“Pro-professor wait up!” dawn said as she ran to catch up with him
“Lucas we should be going home too” said Barry and they turned and went home
I walked around the area for a while thinking about what I should do. I decided that I should head to Sandgem and tell the professor I had his Pokemon. My mom wouldn’t worry I had been out in the woods overnight before. I started walking when Barry suddenly ran past me at full speed; he stopped and turned around to face me.
“Hey isn’t that a Cyndaquil on your shoulder?” he asked
“Yes” is all I said
“Well the professor in Sandgem lost one; do you think the one on your shoulder may be his?”
“Actually I know it is and I was just about to head to Sandgem myself”
“Oh, okay, see ya!” and he started running again.
I followed him at a much slower pace and eventually came to a field of tall grass.
“Well I don’t see a way around it” I said to Cyndaquil “looks like we’ll have to go through it”
I started to walk through the grass and was soon attacked by wild Starly and Bidoof.
“Alright let’s see what you can do” I said to Cyndaquil “take out that Starly with an ember”
But much more than an ember came out after Cyndaquil flared up. It was like a blast burn without the need to recharge; this blast took out most of the Pokemon. Only a lone Bidoof remained unscathed. It looked at Cyndaquil unsure of itself then turned tail and fled.
“Whoa” was all I could say. Later as I walked through the tall grass Lucas came up behind me. When he caught up he asked “Hey isn’t that a Cyndaquil on your shoulder?”
“Yes” I responded and before he could ask I said “I know it is the professors Pokemon, I was heading towards the lab to return him, but Cyndaquil really seems to like me, so I am having second thoughts. I hope the professor lets me keep him for a while”
“Yeah same here with his Treeko” Lucas responded “we should head in soon I don’t think that the professor will stay up this late”
We walked towards Sandgem and arrived there soon after.

Ch 3: my view

When we arrived in Sandgem the first thing we saw was Barry running past us. With a quick “See ya” he was already out of sight. I looked around trying to locate the lab when Lucas poked me and pointed to Dawn.
“She was hanging out with the professor maybe she knows where he is” he said.
We walked toward her and she turned her head. As her eyes fell on me they widened in either: horror, surprise, or awe. Or at least that’s what I thought.
“Where did you get that Cyndaquil!?!!” she screamed.
“Oh… uh yeah” I said then to avert some of her attention “hey do you know where the professor is?”
“So that IS his Cyndaquil!” she said.
Lucas stepped forward “hey I have his Treeko” he said
“Yes and you friend had his Squirtle, but at least you two had the courtesy meeting with us before we came to Sandgem unlike you!” she said pointing at me.
“HEY!” I said “it’s not my fault the professors Squirtle shot the poke ball away you should be glad that I found it!” I said deciding that I shouldn’t tell them what really happened they’d think I was crazy.
“Well you’re here now that’s all that matters” she said “his lab is right over there” she pointed towards a larger building with an antenna an top
“Thanks” I said and I ran away towards the lab with Lucas trailing behind
“I wonder if she is always like that” he said. We both laughed and entered the lab

Ch 4: my view

The lab was a lot more simplistic than I’d originally thought. It was just a few people working on computers with only one or two high tech looking things in the whole building. We looked around for the professor and eventually spotted him standing over one of the workers telling him to fix some error or something. We approached him cautiously not wanting to disturb him. He stood up abruptly and turned, his eyes focused on Cyndaquil on my shoulder, again that’s what I thought and as with Dawn I was wrong.
“You appear to be lively young men” he said
“Oh… uh yeah” this time it was Lucas! It wasn’t hard to tell that he was scared of the professor.
“I see you have my Cyndaquil” he said looking at me then he turned to Lucas “and you’re the one with my Treeko right?”
“Yes” we both said but Lucas added an unnecessary “sir” to his response, this set both me and the professor laughing.
When he recovered the professor said “this is no military academy you can call me ‘Rowan’ or ‘professor’ either one will do”
“Okay Rowan” Lucas said
“Seeing you two and your friend-”
“He’s not my friend we just happened to run into each other” I said. Lucas was hurt by this “not you” I said “I meant Barry”
“Anyway seeing you reminds me of the days when I was a lad, I was quite the trainer if I do say so myself. I am feeling especially nice today so I am going to give you the Pokemon” he said.
“Really?!!” asked Lucas.
“Yes I just want one thing in return”
“Figures” I said
“You see in my old age I am not able to travel the world as I had once done, so I am entrusting the task to you two” he turned around grabbed two identical objects off the desk and returned to the conversation “these are state-of-the-art pokedex use these to record data of the Pokemon you encounter on your journey. You have to catch the Pokemon to be able to read the information though.” He paused “you know I never quite got that, the dex knows info on all sorts of Pokemon but no one put it in there and no one can figure out how to access it short of catching the Pokemon. Quite stupid if you ask me, but I’m not here to complain here you can each have one” he handed us each a pokedex.
“Thanks” Lucas said as he took one. But I was more cautious. I remembered my dream and how the creature I had faced said he created Pokemon “do you know anything about a-” I paused to search for the right word “a deity or a god of Pokemon” I said. I looked towards Lucas but he was gone
“Your friend left right after he took his pokedex” Rowan said “interesting you should bring this up though, you see I have recently discovered some ancient ruins that depicts just that two deities and a god who are said to have created the universe, the god created the two deities, in turn the deities controlled time and space and created three spirits and those five together created the world, after the creation the spirits created two more figures, a guardian and an observer, then the three spirits took refuge at the bottom of three lakes. Actually it is rumored that the three lakes are Lake Verity near here, Lace Acuity, and Lake Valor. It is from these beings Pokemon were made, but the world wasn’t what the god had expected so he tried to destroy it. The beings that descended from him created the other legendary Pokemon to rise up and fight him. They barely succeeded and most of the legendary Pokemon went into a deep slumber, if this legend is true another legend that of Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza is irrelevant and the reason they went into a 1000 year sleep is because of this god”
“Whoa that’s amazing” I said. “That really happened?”
“It is a legend but it may have been so” Rowan responded “why did you want to know?”
“No reason it was just a question” I said
“Alright then take this pokedex and go record data on every Pokemon you meet”
“I’ll do my best” I said. I took the pokedex from his hand and walked out the door.

Ch 5: narration

Drake was wandering around Sandgem unknowingly being watched by three beings.
“Are you sure he’s the one?” said one of the three.
“I am very much sure” responded the second “He responded to the call and saw me over the lake”
“That doesn’t mean he’s the one” said the third
“Of course it does the only other that responded to the call was the old professor and I think we all agree it isn’t him” argued the second
“Alright Mesprit we’ll go along with you for now but only because we can argue no further” said the third
“Uxie may be right I sense one of the dark ones rising” said the first
“Okay Azelf everyone knows I was right so let’s get out of here” said Uxie.
“Alright Uxie let’s go” said Azelf then he turned to Mesprit “He will be under your guard until he crosses the border into one of our territories” he and Uxie then teleported back to their own areas leaving Mesprit to watch over Drake.

Ch 6: My view

I left Sandgem town with my mind racing. I was thinking about the weird Pokemon I saw by the lake and how the professor had said that one of the three spirits responsible for creating the world was hiding down there waiting for the return of the god so that they are ready to fight him again. Also about my dream and how the mysterious entity that I was fighting said he was responsible for the creation of Pokemon. I was walking aimlessly around the woods until I ran into Dawn, literally.
“…and that’s how you catch a Pokemon … ow hey what was that for?” she said.
I snapped out of my trance-like state to see that she and Lucas were standing over a poke ball.
“Hello? I asked why you ran into me”
“Huh, oh sorry I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going” I said. At this point it was obvious that she wasn’t ever going to think anything good of me.
“Well you should pay attention, I almost fell and got a concussion” she snapped
“Hey take it easy Dawn he said he was sorry” said Lucas “oh by the way I told your mom that you were going to be traveling for a while, she’s perfectly okay with it”
“Uh, thanks” I said, then “So you honestly don’t know how to catch Pokemon that’s a bit dumb”
“Actually I did but Dawn refused to let me pass until she was sure I knew how” he responded.
“Hey is it my fault I like to watch out for others?” she said.
“Well anyway I was heading to Jubilife city to see if I could find Barry, his mom wanted me to bring him this” he said taking a box out of his bag “I can’t imagine what he would need that has to be transported in a box, I was going to find out but Dawn-”
“It’s rude to go through peoples’ mail” she interrupted,
“Well anyway as I said I was heading to Jubilife, it’s a big city but there isn’t much to do”
“Hey if there’s Pokemon on the path I’ll come” I said
“Great let’s go then” Lucas said
“Wait” Dawn said before we could take a step “I am a nice person so even though I hate you right about now it’s obvious that you are doing the same thing the professor told us all to do so I’ll give you a few poke balls” she handed out 3 to me and 5 to Lucas.
A few minutes after we had left dawn back in Sandgem Lucas’ Treeko got a lot of experience. Cyndaquil got a lot too but he didn’t show it at all. While Treeko was getting exhausted from the battles Cyndaquil seemed to be getting more energetic. Later we finally found a good match for my Cyndaquil, not nearly as powerful as him but a hell of a lot faster.
“Dude your Cyndaquil may actually get some damage from this” said Lucas
“Yeah and I think all 5 of us know it” I said “Come on Cyndaquil stop with the flames already you’ll burn down the whole forest!” I yelled as he launched yet another powerful flame.
“Cynd-Cynda Cyndaquil” he yelled at his opponent.
“Shi-Shi” it said
“Hey Drake you think that Shinx may make a good battle partner” asked Lucas
“Dude that’s all I’ve been thinking since this battle started, aside from how I’m going to keep Cyndaquil from burning down the place” I responded and as I said this he launched yet another flame.
The Shinx dodged but tripped over a root and fell. It tried to get up but it got really hurt from the fall and could barely move. Cyndaquil was going to launch another flame at it but I stopped it.
“Wait Cyndaquil he can’t go on any more leave him be” Cyndaquil stopped and looked at me confused. “Don’t you think that your energy would be better spent when you’re fighting with an ally instead of on your own?” still Cyndaquil didn’t seem to understand. “Think of it this way what if it’s raining or we find a really powerful water Pokemon how will you fight it, Shinx is an electric Pokemon which has a huge advantage over water Pokemon” this time Cyndaquil understood what I wanted and backed away from Shinx. I walked up to it “Hey are you okay?” I asked it.
It looked up at me “Shinx” it said looking at its hurt leg.
“If you come with me I can fix that for you and train you to be stronger” I said
Suddenly its eyes lit up and it smiled “Shinx!” it said.
“Alright then” I said as I pulled out a poke ball, tossed it towards Shinx, and waited patiently for it to stop vibrating. When it did I said “From now on you can travel with me”
We traveled for a bit longer then decided to rest for the night. I let Cyndaquil and Shinx out of their poke balls. While Cyndaquil and Shinx seemed to be deep in conversation about what seemed to be battle tactics I prepared medicine for Shinx’ leg.
“You do realize that every bag comes with a free potion which is used to heal injuries on Pokemon” Lucas said
“I don’t have a bag if you didn’t notice” I said
“Well then how did you set up this camp?” he asked
“It was already here all I did was make a fire, hung some huge leaves from the trees to make a tent, and picked some berries for food and medicine” I explained
“Wow, you sure know your survival skills” said Lucas.
I went over to Shinx and put some of the medicine on it winced at the pain but soon relaxed and fell asleep. “It’s not the first time I’ve stayed away from home overnight” I explained
“Obviously” was all Lucas said.
Soon it got really dark out and some Krikotot started to make some noise. After awhile the noises grew unbearable to Lucas.
“Hey what do we do about those Krikotot they are very annoying” he said
“I learned the hard way not to bother them” I said in response
“What happened?” he asked
“Something that really shouldn’t have happened anywhere around Twinleaf” I said, “I threw some rocks at some and they shut up but to other Pokemon their noise is relaxing just look at our Pokemon, anyway now some Pokemon were waking up so I tried to get away but out of nowhere an Ursaring shows up and starts to chase me so I run home, lock the door, and hide in my room, I was too scared to go outside for a week” I said laughing. I look over towards Lucas and see he has a rock in his hand and he was resisting the urge to throw it. “Go ahead and throw it I told you it was a freak accident that Ursaring was here in the first place”
“With my luck I just might hit an Ursaring” was his response and he dropped the rock on the ground
“Just get to sleep, their noise will eventually lull you to sleep” I said
“Alright” said Lucas and we slept through the night.

Ch 7: my view

I awoke to the sound of a large crash. It made me and Lucas as well as our Pokemon bolt upright, for a second my mind wandered to the thought that Shinx’ leg had healed well, I motioned for Lucas to follow me and we crept to the edge of the tent. Outside everything seemed calm, SEEMED calm, suddenly a tree started to fall and it landed with another loud crash. We crept forward cautiously towards the fallen tree.
We thought it was some freak accident. What we saw was couldn’t be closer to that. A pack of Ursaring and Teddiursa were camping within 30 yards from us and we didn’t know. Apparently they were having a competition because pairs of Ursaring were sparing each other. Every so often one would hit a tree and make a little mark in it. About every 20 hits to trees one would be a direct hit that would go right through it and knock it down.
“I thought you said they shouldn’t be here” said Lucas
“They shouldn’t” I responded
“Well they are” he said
“They’re going to knock down a whole section of the forest if they keep this up”
“Well what do we do?”
“I have an idea” I said. I turned to Cyndaquil and Shinx, “do you two think you can fight one of those?” I asked.
Cyndaquil immediately nodded but Shinx was a bit hesitant but eventually nodded too.
“Great do you think you can talk to them first?”
This time Shinx immediately nodded and Cyndaquil was hesitant but agreed.
“Great then find their leader and relay this message…”
A few minutes later I sent them in. They asked a few Teddiursa first but were still too young to know much. Then they tried to ask a few Ursaring, most just didn’t respond but one got really annoyed and took a swipe at Shinx. Shinx dodged easily and Cyndaquil retaliated by blasting him with a quick powerful burst of flame. The Ursaring fell back with a loud thud; this made a lot of the Ursaring stop fighting and turn towards Cyndaquil and Shinx. At first it seemed as they were going to attack immediately but one stepped forward and grunted something. Shinx and Cyndaquil explained that they wanted to talk to the leader of the group and in response one of the bigger Ursaring stepped forward. Shinx and Cyndaquil relayed my message, basically explaining that they were destroying some of the woods and that they were willing to fight him if it would get him to stop. The leader considered the offer, if he won he gained a bit more experience points and showed a couple of apparent newbies a thing or two, on the other hand if he lost he’d have to leave the area and go somewhere more appropriate for a tournament. He wasn’t about to back down from a challenge, he nodded in agreement and said something to Shinx and Cyndaquil. The two of them talked for a few seconds and Cyndaquil came trotting over to me turned back towards Shinx said something that was most likely “Good luck” and sat down to watch.
The match started equally but it was obvious that Ursaring had the advantage of power. Shinx dodged most of the blows getting nicked every so often. Neither was giving in until Ursaring pulled off something no one expected. Something glowed in his mouth and he shot a blast of purple energy towards Shinx. Shinx wasn’t expecting a long range attack and barely managed to dodge. The blast went by him and hit the ground. There was a slight pause then the ground around the impact exploded. Shinx now knew that his opponent was capable of long range attacks so staying away from his fists wasn’t all he had to do. The match now seemed one-sided, Shinx was barely able to dodge the array of long range and short range attacks. Then the Ursaring launched many blasts at once ant trapped Shinx in a small ring. I realized what was coming next but couldn’t do anything to stop it. Inevitably the Ursaring shot a blast down the center of the now inescapable ring and it was a direct hit. I cringed as Shinx went flying into the bushes.
After a few seconds the Ursaring raised its arms in victory but Cyndaquil interrupted him by shouting loudly for a second then pointing towards the bushes that were now rustling. Shinx stepped out of the bushes looking as if nothing had happened except that Ursaring had ticked him off and now he was really mad. Ursaring looked at him like he was a ghost but soon got over it and started charging for another blast.
Before Ursaring could finish charging Shinx roared and an electric charge shot straight at Ursaring. Apparently Shinx was able to convert the attack into electricity and was now fully charged. The Ursaring hadn’t been expecting this so he had no time to react. The bolt hit him and he threw his head back in pain and the blast was shot straight up. He recovered from his surprise and looked back down only in time to catch Shinx already in mid jump. Shinx flew straight into the Ursaring’s gut. Ursaring was blown back from the impact and crashed into a tree. The force snapped the tree and it started to fall. The Ursaring panicked and tried to charge up a blast, but Shinx was quicker. He jumped at the tree changing its directory so it fell harmlessly to the side.
Later the pack of Ursaring was talking amongst each other. Not only had Shinx defeated their leader but he had also saved his life. After a few minutes of debate the leader came up to me, nodded in appreciation at my Pokémon’s skills. He motioned for one of the little Teddiursa to come forward. The little one obeyed. Ursaring pointed to the child, then at Shinx and Cyndaquil, then at me.
“Do you want me to take this little Teddiursa with me?” I asked
Ursaring nodded.
Just to make sure I returned Shinx then held up an empty poke ball and pointed to Teddiursa. In reply Ursaring nudged the child closer. The Teddiursa looked up at me admiringly. I tossed the poke ball at the Teddiursa and soon I had my third Pokemon.
Ursaring smiled at patted me on the back. Apparently he doesn’t know his own strength because my back was sore for the next few hours, but I smiled at him and said “I’ll train him well”
The Ursaring were getting ready to leave when Lucas turned to me and said “You know I think one day with you is going to prove to be the most exciting day in my life, also it will be an uneventful day for me.”
“What do you mean?” I asked
“Think about it my Treeko is exhausted from yesterdays training and I didn’t catch anything, Cyndaquil has barely broke a sweat and you have two more Pokemon”
“Oh, I see” I said. I looked over at the Ursaring “Should I see if they’ll let you train one of their children?”
“No, I haven’t proved myself worthy to them, they’d never agree”
“Well how about the next two Pokemon we decide to catch you can have”
“Nah, I’ll get my own eventually I was just admiring your skills”
“Well thanks Lucas I appreciate it” we watched as the Ursaring left and headed towards the mountains.

Ch 8: my view

The next couple of days were uneventful. We walked through the woods in search of Pokemon to train against or maybe catch and take along with us. Needless to say our encounter with the pack of Ursaring had managed to scare away almost every Pokemon in the area.
“Dude this forest goes on forever” complained Lucas.
“It can’t go on forever otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to enter it in the first place, anyway I think we’re close” I said to him.
“What makes you say that?” he asked
“The smell in the air has changed, the scarce Pokemon have become scarcer, but it’s mostly that sign over there that reads “welcome to Jubilife” and the fact that we are now walking on pavement and the trees have ended just like I said”
“Oh” said Lucas with a bit of embarrassment for not noticing the 20 foot sign. He looked back up “Well I hope Barry is still here and not half way across Sinoh”
“He’s likely still here”
“Well what makes –” he stopped mid sentence to observe the surroundings. After he was satisfied with what he saw he said “What makes you think that?”
“Does Barry get picked on by bullies much?” I asked
“Not that I know of why?”
“Isn’t that him up there hanging by his shirt from the lamppost?”
“WHAT?!?” yelled Lucas as he scanned the streetlamps and finally saw Barry. Sure enough he was hanging on a street lamp yelling for someone to get him down. The lamppost was surrounded by police officers and were attempting to figure out how a 15 year old boy got stuck on a lamppost when they couldn’t figure out a way to get a person up there to help him.
We ran up to the lamppost to see if we could help in some way
“WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO YOU BARRY!?!” yelled Lucas when we got to the lamppost
“Step away children there’s nothing to see” said one of the officers as he pushed us back
I confronted him “Dude there is a boy hanging 20 feet in the air so unless you’re talking about something else I’m pretty sure everyone within 3 blocks can see this”
“Yeah well we’re professionals” he argued
“Yeah okay you’re pro’s so I assume you’ve tried to bend the lamppost to the ground allowing Barry to pull himself free?” I said then I pointed “and I assume you haven’t tried the ladder already”
The officer turned around yelled something to the guy on the ladder turned back to us and said “Bending the lamppost would disrupt the whole cities electrical systems ending up in having to bay millions of dollars to repair”
“Okay how about this you try an idea of mine and if it doesn’t work I’ll pay to fix the system” I said
“WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO YOU BARRY!?!” yelled Lucas randomly. This must have gotten his attention because he stopped thrashing for a minute and looked at us
“Hey Lucas what’s up?”
“Dude you’re hanging from a lamppost and all you can say is “what’s up” that’s kind of ridiculous and again WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED!” said Lucas.
“Apparently Starly are much stronger than most people think and they hate to be fed” he said
“Starly did this to you?” said the officer “How many?”
“About 12 or 13 of ‘em”
“Hey, wait a sec’ you wouldn’t answer a single question we had, then these two come around and suddenly you’re chatty!” yelled the officer.
“Stop yelling at him he’s a bit of a spaz” I said.
“Alright what’s this idea of yours I won’t make you pay if it doesn’t work” the officer said.
“Just heat the pole until it bends, then bend it to the ground, cut it leaving some wire exposed, then reconnect the circuits. It should work” I said
“Jeez not only can you survive in the wilderness for months on your own but now you’re a science wiz too?” said Lucas
“Did you pay any attention in science class? At all?” I said “Every electrical current has to make a complete circuit to work, if one lamppost will affect every system in the city then that means that Jubilife has some bad technicians, but all you need to do to fix that is reconnect the circuit”
“Okay we’d try it your way but none of us have any fire Pokemon to heat the post” said the officer
“I have a Cyndaquil” I suggested
“great let’s try it then” was the officer’s response
About a half hour later Barry was down and he’d explained the whole thing, Lucas gave him the box that Barry’s mom wanted him to have, we found out that his mom either sucks at counting or is psychic because inside we found three maps, we won some contest to get free poketches or Pokemon watches, and found out that we had to head to Oreburgh city next, Barry ran off ahead as usual, and Lucas decided to stay and study at the school, he claimed it was to learn more about Pokemon but I know it was really because he didn’t want me to think he was dumb. So yeah that was all that happened in Jubilife in a nutshell.

Ch 9: my view

I had left Jubilife behind with most of the officers admiring me for my “smarts” (Honestly it was a simple solution how was I the only one who saw it?) and Lucas studying at the trainers school. I had bought a travel bag because I figured I wouldn’t be able to carry all my items I’d eventually get, and I bought a few poke balls and potions.
It wasn’t long before I came to a bridge that stretched across a small river. I looked across and saw that we’d have to go through a tunnel to get across the high cliffs behind the bridge.
“Great! Tunnels equal rock Pokemon and wouldn’t ya know electricity or fire doesn’t work well on them this would be the perfect time for Lucas and his grass type Treeko to show up” I said. I waited a bit, “that figures of course he won’t show up this is destinies way of saying “ha in your face” well guess what I’m going in and no one can stop me” and just at that moment.
“STOP!” yeah when I said that no one could stop me I actually didn’t expect just that to happen I was really just gonna march right into the cave. “You can’t go any further without my say-so” I looked around and saw a hiker on top of a boulder
“who are you, and how do you plan to stop me?”
“ME? I’m the Mega Hiker and as to how I’m going to stop you, take a closer look at the rock I’m standing on”
Sure enough when I looked I saw that it really was a Pokemon, a Golem I think.
“Great just what I need, and I bet you heard me complain about how it’s gonna be hard for me to fight rock Pokemon right?”
“Yes I did “Fire and electric” are the types you have”
“so what’s the gain from battling me?”
“I get to hike through the cave before you”
“THAT’S ALL? You realize that I would just let you go before me right?”
“Well in that case…” and that’s when Lucas decided to show up
“Hey Drake, who’s that loser on the big rock?”
“LOSER! You dare call me a loser! I’ll have you know that I am a hiker and I control one of the most powerful rock Pokemon in existence!” just then the Golem turned towards Lucas.
“WHOA… I really didn’t know any of that; I also don’t know that grass Pokemon are really good against rock Pokemon so, GO! Treeko!” and Treeko came out with a weird looking claw in his hand.
The two Pokemon squared off, the hiker jumped off of Golem.
“Golem use rock throw!”
“Treeko dodge and use razor leaf!”
the whole battle lasted about a minute and ended when golem collapsed in exhaustion. Treeko then stood there looking like it hadn’t been worth his time. The hiker quickly returned his Golem and ran away crying, and it really is disturbing to see a grown man cry.
“Well that was easy enough” said Lucas
“Dude you are such a showoff” I said
Lucas returned Treeko to his poke ball, looked at the cave and said “Shall we?”
“After you, you’re the one with the grass Pokemon”
“Hey shouldn’t you spend some time training your Teddiursa?”
“Oh man I completely forgot about him” I said “GO! Teddiursa!”
I threw the poke ball and Teddiursa stood in front of me ready to battle.
“there’s nothing to fight right now Teddiursa I just want to check what moves you know”
when I said that Teddiursa turned and punched the nearest rock. It didn’t shatter right away but cracks appeared then it crumbled.
“Okay that’s enough for me rock Pokemon shouldn’t be a problem now” I said then the four of us walked into the tunnel.
It wasn’t all that exciting in the tunnel we fought some rock Pokemon and Lucas caught a Geodude.
“Just in case I have to battle fire Pokemon” was his explanation.
It took only about an hour to get through the tunnel but when we did we found ourselves in Oreburgh city, and then flat on our backs as Barry plowed into us
“Sorry about that I didn’t see you” he said “anyway I already tried to go to the gym but the leader isn’t there so I’m going to go train my Pokemon some more” and then he ran into the cave.
We explore Oreburgh city for a while. During which we found a museum and walked around there to kill time while the gym leader returned. After we got tired of waiting we left to find the gym it wasn’t hard to find considering it was larger and it said in huge gray letters “Oreburgh gym”. We tried to get in bit the doors were locked.
“This must be the 50th time I’ve said this today but, this is just typical”
“Hey I saw some mines over in that direction you don’t think that he…”
Lucas paused as a tall guy dressed as a miner walked right in front of him opened the doors of the gym and went in.
“I’m gonna guess that was him” I said and I went inside with Lucas following.

Ch 10: my view

The gym was very plain. All it was, was a “Maze” of rocks that had only one path so it was just like a hallway that kept turning and twisting.
“Either this guy really likes to see people come up to him exhausted or he’s really weak and doesn’t want anyone to get to him” said Lucas
“Hey I heard that” said a voice from just up ahead
we walked a bit further and saw him chipping away at the walls
“Uh what are you doing?” asked Lucas
“Expanding” said the leader
“You realize eventually you’re going to eventually break through the wall right” Lucas asked
“I might if I’d been digging straight in but I haven’t, the reason the path is really long and winding is because it gradually gets deeper into the rock right now I’d say we’re about 50 feet below ground”
“Okay and how long have you been working on this?” I asked
“About a month now” he said
“Alone!?!”
“No my Pokemon help me which reminds me you came here to battle didn’t you?”
“Yeah both of us did” I said
“Okay haw about this I am really busy so one of you can battle me and if you win I’ll give you both a badge”
“Fine by me” I said “I’ll battle you”
so the battle began. Naturally I chose Teddiursa as my first Pokemon, the leader who I now know is named Roark sent out a Geodude.
The battle didn’t last long one punch from Teddiursa put Geodude out like a light. So Roark sent out his next Pokemon which was an Onix. Teddiursa fought well against Onix but he eventually couldn’t keep going. I called him back and sent out Shinx. Shinx managed to defeat the Onix but only barely. Roark’s next Pokemon Craniados took him out but Shinx did quite a number on Craniados. As a last resort I sent out Cyndaquil and told Roark that he’d better move aside. He did and Cyndaquil launched a stream of flames. When the flames went out Craniados was still standing there but it was hurt a lot from the fire. It fell over and fainted.
“Okay you have beaten me here are your badges” he handed us each a coal badge “and as a special reward take these” he held out 3 discs 2 were the same so we each took one but the third I decided to take. I had a feeling that I’d need it. The discs turned out to be TM’s that taught Pokemon the move stealth rock and an HM which taught Pokemon rock smash. It took us another 10 minutes just to get to the entrance of the gym. Once out we decided to go find some rare Pokemon which Roark had told us could be found north of the city. We did find some Pokemon but only one seemed to be rare. Every so often a Larvitar would appear. One in particular seemed to like me a lot. It didn’t want to battle me but it kept following me.
“Dude I think that Larvitar wants to come with you” said Lucas
“You honestly think I haven’t realized that yet” I said “that Larvitar has been following us since we came here”
“Well are you going to catch it?”
“Yea I’ve been thinking about doing that” I said then I turned “Hey Larvitar do you want to come with me, to train and get stronger?”
Larvitar looked at me like I was insane then it turned and walked away.
“That’s why I didn’t try earlier”
“What?”
“I had a feeling he would be stubborn and refuse even though he wants to”
“Why?”
“I don’t know maybe he wants me to prove that I’m worthy to train him, maybe it’s a pride thing”
BOOM!!!!!!
“What the heck was that!?” I said as a nearby mountain just had a hole blasted through it. We turned to see what could have done that and saw something spectacular. Standing in the hole was a Pokemon. It was a huge one, with a star shaped face, brown fur, cuffs around its legs, and spikes that came out of either side of its back. It eyed us as we watched it descend down the mountain. Soon we came face to face with the Pokemon which was way beyond awesome.
“Dude Drake I know what that Pokemon is” said Lucas “You won’t believe this but that’s the legendary Pokemon Entei”
“Whoa… it’s so awesome”
Entei looked right at me with piercing eyes.
“He’s trying to warn you of danger” something in my head told me.
“Who’s there” I said aloud without realizing it.
“What are you talking about I just told you it’s Entei” said Lucas.
Entei was indeed trying to warn me of something but I couldn’t understand him. He was growling and moving his head in a pattern that I swore I’ve seen somewhere else. Suddenly I understood, “Lucas we need to leave NOW!”
“Why?” he asked.
Entei looked up at something then jumped behind me. From the sky came a long green figure that I’d thought only existed in legends. From the sky came Rayquaza.

Ch 11: my view

The three of us, me, Lucas and Entei stared into the sky as Rayquaza closed in on us.
“I’m guessing that’s why we should’ve left” said Lucas with terror in his voice.
“Maybe he won’t incinerate us, maybe he’s just here for the same reason as Entei” I said
Behind me Entei roared and shot a blast of flame at Rayquaza.
“If it’ll lift the mood, I heard that every time Entei roars a volcano erupts” said Lucas trying badly to add humor to the situation.
The flame hit Rayquaza head on but it barely did anything to the massive dragon Pokemon. In retaliation Rayquaza shot a beam at us. Entei pushed both of us onto his back and jumped away.
“Why do you think Rayquaza is trying to kill us?” yelled Lucas his voice barely audible over the sound of the explosion.
“I don’t think he is” I said
“What are you talking about? He just tried to fry us” said Lucas as Rayquaza shot again.
“I mean I don’t think that’s Rayquaza the colors are off” I said as the beam hit another nearby mountain.
“Dude no one has seen Rayquaza for hundreds of years maybe the artists that drew the pictures in the books were off”
“Did you catch the show about the boy who found Kyogre and Groudon?”
“Yeah why?”
“Kyogre is blue with red lines, Groudon is red with blue lines” I said
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“That Rayquaza has blue lines”
“Like Groudon?”
“Yes but it isn’t Groudon it’s a fake Rayquaza and that means that it isn’t as strong as the real one”
“So what you’re saying is that we may be able to fight that thing”
“Maybe but it’s gonna take some guts”
“Do you think Barry will show up right now?” Lucas said as Entei dodged yet another blast.
Suddenly I jumped off of Entei’s back. He and Lucas kept going in one direction while I stopped and faced the fake Rayquaza. It stopped chasing after Entei and Lucas and turned to attack me. I stared at it unwavering while it hovered towards me.
“QUILL!!” suddenly another blast of flames hit the Rayquaza from behind.
It thrashed around in surprise and pain. It crashed to the ground but quickly recovered. Almost as quickly as it fell it got up and turned toward Cyndaquil.
“SHINX!!” now a blast of electricity caused it to fall. It recovered a bit slowly now turning now to Shinx.
“URSA!!” then Teddiursa hit him with a powerful punch from a third angle. Now the Rayquaza was surrounded on three sides. When it turned to attack one of the three the other two would attack. Soon Rayquaza was overwhelmed by the three Pokemon. It collapsed in exhaustion. My Pokemon approached it cautiously, ready for an ambush at any time. Suddenly it lashed out with its tail and knocked my Pokemon off balance. It then it grabbed Cyndaquil and Teddiursa with its tail and knocked Shinx against a big rock, hard.
Cyndaquil and Teddiursa were trapped and Shinx was very hurt. I was able to return Cyndaquil and Teddiursa but Shinx was too far away and then I started to run. The Rayquaza flew after me but something knocked it away. It was Larvitar!
“TAR!!” he said as he drill kicked Rayquaza again. The two Pokemon flew into a boulder. Larvitar jumped away from Rayquaza as he collapsed in a heap. I took this as my opportunity to go and help Shinx. While Larvitar was making sure Rayquaza wouldn’t get back up I was making sure that Shinx was okay. He didn’t look very good, he was barely breathing and I was sure a few bones had fractured.
“Shi…” he said weakly.
“It’s all right Shinx I’ll make it all better”
Lucas and Entei came walking up.
“That doesn’t look good at all” said Lucas
“If you think it’s that bad why don’t you go back to town and get help?” I asked furiously “Shinx is just a little banged up he’ll recover” tears started to well up. “Lucas, get someone from the pokemon center, NOW!”
“I’ll hurry” he said as he ran off towards town.
I turned to Entei “Can you do anything to help?”
He shook his head sorrowfully.
“Then can you at least go and help Larvitar over there”
He nodded and jumped onto the Rayquaza checking for signs that it was still conscious.
About ten minutes later Lucas came with what looked like the whole Pokemon center. When they reached me they immediately checked Shinx over to see if anything was missed. When they were satisfied they sent Nurse Joy over to comfort me. She sat next to me on a rock.
“He’ll be fine, all he needs is a few weeks of rest” she said.
“So I’ll wait here on Oreburgh for a few weeks” I replied.
“Unfortunately we’ve talked the situation over with the mayor, police, and Roark. Your friend said the Rayquaza was interested in getting you, as long as you are in Oreburgh the city may be in danger”
I suddenly stood up enraged “You think it’s my fault that Rayquaza came here!?! You think that I am the cause of all this??!”
“It’s not tha-”
“Look over there one of my friends is lying on the ground unable to move and it’s my fault?”
“Drake I was just-”
“How about over there, Larvitar helped me fight the Rayquaza if something happened to him would that be my fault too?”
“Drake calm down”
“No you are blaming me for this! I just came here for the gym challenge and for some training. I did not want Entei to come here to warn me of this, I didn’t want to fight Rayquaza, and I certainly didn’t want one of my Pokemon to be injured!”
“GRAAHHHH” Entei roared
“There goes a volcano” said one of the doctors, while some of the others laughed. But it wasn’t just a timely roar signifying an eruption, something was happening to Rayquaza. Entei jumped away with Larvitar on his back as Rayquaza shrank and changed shape and colors. Everyone watched as Rayquaza disappeared and in its place was a small purple tablet.
“It’s a Draco Plate” said Roark who suddenly came from nowhere. “It’s an item imbued with the power of dragon Pokemon” he continued “Which also means that there was no real threat at all, it probably picked up on a strong source of power and took the form of a Rayquaza” he walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder “Nurse Joy is right you need to calm down”
Then, “Nurse Joy, Drake come quick!” one of the doctors called us over frantically. The three of us rushed over to see what was wrong. But what we saw was amazing. Not only had Shinx’ wounds completely disappeared but he had enough energy not only to stand but run in small excited circles. “We have no idea what happened one moment we looked away from Shinx because of the Rayquaza, the next he crawled into a standing position and began to walk around. We managed to keep him in this small space but this is nothing short of a miracle”
‘Or a favor’ I thought to myself as I wondered if Mesprit had done this. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bit of movement, I turned my head and as I thought Mesprit was hovering there looking at me and seeming to smile. I gave a quick smile and nod back to Mesprit as it disappeared. Then Nurse Joy said something in an annoyed voice and my attention went back to the scene here.
“DRAKE!!” she said with authority “Entei seems to want to talk to you”
“OH… uh… thanks, I mean for listening back there I really just had to let my anger out, it’s nothing personal I would have done that to my mom or my best friend” I explained.
“It’s nothing really I understand and believe me I think you’re a great boy Drake, if you were forced out of town my first act would have been to march right into the mayor’s office and give him a piece of my mind, it’s not right to have someone forced out of any town just because of something like this, especially someone as obviously talented as you” she said “Now, Entei…”
“Oh right sorry, thanks for understanding” I said as I walked over to Entei.
“What’s up Entei?” I asked as if expecting him to talk, which I knew wouldn’t happen. He probably just wanted to give me something that would help me with future incidents like this.
“You have trained your Pokemon well for having them for just over two weeks”
YIKES!!! Honestly if Entei came up to me after this my reaction would still be, “Y-y-you can t-t-talk?”
“Not physically, I communicate through thoughts just like our friend Mesprit”
“So why didn’t you ‘talk’ to me earlier?” I said getting over the initial shock of Entei talking.
“Your thoughts were very scattered at the moment; if I had you would have just placed them as things you’ve heard before from your friends and family.”
“Well what did you want to talk about?”
“I have traveled very far to give you this message so you had better listen” he said with a bit of a snarl forming in his mouth
“Hey I’m listening okay no need for threats”
“Alright then, as you know I am a legendary Pokemon, we are very scarce making most people believe that there is only one of us each, which is not true” he paused
“What so you’re just telling me there’s more than one of many of the legendary Pokemon”
“NO!” he said the snarl returning, then he calmed down a bit “Sorry the battle has left me edgy, anyway I came here to give you this” Larvitar climbed onto Entei’s back and dug around until he found a medallion which he then gave to me “that amulet gives you the ability to call us if needed, I came here to tell you that the dream you had a few weeks ago was no dream but a possible future, Arceus is coming and you have been chosen to stop him and the guardians of this planet, the legendary Pokemon, are willing to back you up”
“Tar Larvitar!”
“Oh yes, Larvitar here has chosen to join you on your journey”
“Alright thanks Larvitar you’ll make a great addition to the team” I said as he jumped off Entei’s back and I tossed a poke ball towards him. After it stopped vibrating Lucas called me over.
“Drake! Come quick!”
I grabbed Larvitar’s poke ball and ran over to Lucas who was staring at Shinx. Shinx was standing there not moving a muscle just staring ahead blankly.
“He suddenly stopped moving and won’t stop staring ahead, it’s like he’s-”
“He’s going to evolve” said Roark, (Jeez where does he keep coming from?) “Most electric Pokemon do that when they evolve and your Shinx is about to- … ahhh you see”
We looked at Shinx and he was glowing! He grew and changed shape. The glow subsided showing that Shinx had completely changed and now looked more powerful and proud.
“Luxio” it said. Luxio looked at me and smiled.
“Great to see you” I said as I kneeled down to pet him.
“Uh… Drake why’s Entei still here?” asked Lucas. Sure enough when I turned Entei was still there. I walked over to him.
“Hey Entei what’s wrong?”
“Something else is coming”
“What?!? Where?”
“Not now but soon, oh I just remembered I was also supposed to tell you that ‘not all dark things are evil’, I have to go now I must stand guard at my original post. I will see you some other time Drake, be a great hero” Entei then turned and began to walk away “Oh Drake make sure to tell Roark to watch where he digs” then he started to run to wherever his ‘post’ was.

Ch 12: my view

Back in Oreburgh things were peaceful. I delivered Entei’s message to Roark and further examination showed that one of the mines he constructed came dangerously close to a lava vein. Nurse joy still chewed out the mayor for even considering throwing me out of town. Lucas caught a Machop. The best and worst of all though was that I finally confirmed that I wasn’t going crazy and that I actually was destined to do something great. The downside is that it may kill me and some of my friends. The only other hard thing was explaining to Lucas where I’d got the medallion. I finally settled on “I’ve had it all along maybe you just didn’t notice, remember Barry on the lamppost?” Other than that it was a typical visit to another town.
We woke up on our last day in Oreburgh. When we went outside we could tell it would be a horrible day for our Pokemon.
“Rain” Lucas said as he opened the door “This means you can only use your Teddiursa and Luxio to train”
“I’ll bring Teddiursa. He barely got any experience from the encounter with Rayquaza and he’s wanted to go outside for a while”
“Alright we’ll say goodbye to the townsfolk then start back for Jubilife stopping in the woods to train”
“Sounds good”
“Drake you do realize we won’t be traveling together the whole journey. Eventually we have to split”
“Lucas, you realize that sounded like you were trying to convince yourself? You are a great friend but I don’t need you to come with me I’ll be fine.” I paused “while we’re on the topic of separating you should really think of getting some camping supplies”
“Shoot that’s right and I have no idea of how to set up camp or survive in it”
“You want to stay for another day so I can teach you. It’s pretty much all easy. Once you experience it you’ll have a hard time forgetting. At least that’s how it was for me” jinxed it. Right as I said that I knew I’d jinxed it.
The next few hours were a combination of training and torture. It took forever just for him to learn how to pitch a tent, even longer to learn the edible plants from poisonous ones. Eventually I just gave up and told him that he could sleep under certain trees that soak up all the water before it gets through, and to pack food when he left towns and Finally after we got all that out of the way Treeko evolved.
“Dude Treeko’s glowing” I said
“What?” Lucas responded as he whirled around to see.
Treeko had grown and changed shape and color. Now he was almost as tall as Lucas. He had long blade-like leaves on his arms and clawed hands.
“Grovyle” he said as he quickly made a camp. It took only minutes for him to do everything it had taken me hours to make Lucas comprehend. He pitched the tent, picked enough berries to feed someone for a week, and tore away all the poisonous plants.
“On second thought if you need a camp send HIM out”
“Yeah” Lucas said stunned. “Alright let’s go back and say goodbye to everyone I have a feeling Grovyle wants to travel”
So we went back to town, said goodbye to everyone and thanked Roark and Nurse Joy. I apologized again for yelling at her then we left.
A day later we were back in Jubilife Lucas wanted to go home and tell his mom of the progress he’d made. I told him I’d go to the next gym. We separated and went almost opposite directions. He went home, and as far as I knew I was walking into another attempt to kill me.

Ch 13: my view

The road to the next town had almost no excitement. Not much new Pokemon, no challenging trainers (I battled anyway because eventually the trainers will get harder), the only good thing was in these battles Cyndaquil evolved.
“Starly hit him with another peck”
“Come on Cyndaquil this is it one more flamethrower and this trainer can’t bug us anymore”
“Star” Starly pecked Cyndaquil it didn’t do much at all.
“Quil!” as Starly retreated Cyndaquil blasted him and he fell unconscious.
“NO! Starly!”
“It’s alright dude not many people really stand a chance against my… Hey he’s evolving sweet!”
Cyndaquil glowed. He started to change shape and size. When the light subsided he was long and Furret-like with flames around his neck.
“Quillava”
“Whoa so that’s what an evolution looks like”
“Don’t worry yours will evolve soon” I said comfortingly. “You just need to train against someone your own level”
“Will do thanks”
“Alright I have to leave now take care!” I said as I ran in the direction of Florama town.
I took a few more hours to reach the town. It wasn’t very large but it was very decorative. As its name suggests there were flowers everywhere. There were no streets just paths of grass with no other plants growing creating a way to get around town without damaging the flowers. I headed to the Pokemon center ho heal the injuries that my Pokemon received. Along the way I saw a few people blocking the entrance to a meadow. They were all dressed the same way, weird uniforms and blue bowl cuts, and had serious looks on their faces. Seeing them made me remember something that happened only 2 days ago.

Flashback
(Flashbacks may not have been mentioned earlier but they are crucial pieces of the puzzle and need to be read to understand my emotions at the time)

I had just gotten back to Jubilife after leaving Oreburgh. As I walked around I saw that the electrical problem had been solved to some extent.
“Drake!!” shouted Lucas. He sounded really worried.
“What? What’s wrong?”
“Some weird guys dressed as astronauts are attacking the professor and Dawn!”
“WHAT?!? Where? We have to help them!”
“Actually I already tried my Pokemon didn’t stand a chance we were out before we started!”
“Well where are they?”
“That way” Lucas said as he pointed
“Alright see ya!”
I ran to the end of the city and indeed the professor and dawn were being attacked. I approached cautiously looking for sentries they may have looking for coming pedestrians. I saw none then turned the corner with my Pokemon right behind me.
“BAT!” yelled a Pokemon I hadn’t seen before it flew around then went into a dive straight for me! It rammed into my chest and sent me tumbling backwards.
“QUILL!!” yelled Cyndaquil as it shot flames at the Pokemon, but it was too fast.
“LUX” next Luxio launched a last of electricity at it. This hit it on the tip of the wing. It was fazed momentarily but recovered and dive-bombed Teddiursa.
“TAR!” shouted Larvitar as it stepped in the Pokémon’s way. It rammed Larvitar with much more force than when it hit me, which considering Larvitar’s armor was tougher than most stones was the biggest mistake it could have made. It fell to the ground and we resumed running at the attackers.
“Tell us the secret to evolution!” said one of the weirdly dressed attackers.
“Uh… John I think your Zubat bit the dust this time” said the other.
“What? Oh, hello kiddy are you a friend of these two” he said raising the professor and Dawn simultaneously “they’re a bit busy now so run along before someone else gets hurt”
“So you hurt them?” I asked
“Well I have been slamming them against a wall for about 15 minutes so yeah I’d say I hurt them. By the way cute little Pokemon there, mind bringing out the one that defeated my Zubat?”
“Tar-Larvitar” said Larvitar angrily.
“Hold on Larvitar I don’t think you need to use all your power against them” I said. “Instead why don’t you and Teddiursa both take one?”
“Hah if you think you can defeat us both then you must be insane brat”
“Look, you clown, Larvitar here took out your Zubat by stepping in front of it, if all your Pokemon are that weak I think I just may be insulting these two” I said gesturing to Larvitar and Teddiursa.
“Alright that’s it no one insults me and gets away with it, brad hold these two I’m gonna take this kid out”
“sir you obviously don’t know what you’re dealing with” said the professor then he turned to me “I got word from Oreburgh, meeting Entei and defeating a Rayquaza only just after getting the stone badge, that’s quite a feat”
“Wait that was you?!” said John “Uh… and that’s the Larvitar that delivered the main blow?” he backed away a bit “Uh… sorry for hurting your friends I have to leave now, no hard feelings?”
“Larvitar could you kick him in the gut? Use whatever force you feel is adequate”
“TAR!” he drill-kicked John and he flew into the woods followed by his partner.
“Uh… thanks Drake, that was really nice of you” said Dawn “Maybe I was wrong about you being completely useless and rude”
“Thanks that really makes me feel better that you thought of me like that” (totally wrong choice in words)
“Oh so now it’s all about you huh, well excuse us for being mugged and taking valuable time out of your day!” she began to yell.
“Whoa hold on I didn’t say anything like that”
“Well you sure are acting like it”
“Drake just leave it anything you say is only gonna make it worse” said the professor
“Fine whatever just go Drake; get your selfish, rude, non-caring hide out of my face!”
Conclusion to flashback

I shook my head pulling me out of the flashback thinking ‘why’d I have to remember that part’. I looked back at the people and they had the same uniform on.
“I’ll deal with that later” I said as I went into the Pokemon center to rest.
The next day I woke up far from a good mood. I slid out of the cot that I was given to sleep in and I went outside. Sure enough the people were still standing there. I groaned as I headed over to them most likely they weren’t worth the time.
“What are you doing here?” asked one of the people
“I was gonna ask you the same”
“Well no one is allowed past it is strictly team Galactic business”
“Team Galactic? Shouldn’t you be, I don’t know on Pluto or something?”
“WHY YOU LITTLE…”
“Kid look you aren’t allowed back here right now so just run along, why don’t you go look for some new Pokemon or something?” said a more calm and polite Galactic.
“Yeah and take your stupid Cyndaquil with you!”
“OKAY THAT’S IT! I was gonna leave but no one insults my Pokemon! Quillava Flamethrower!”
“QUILL!” he blasted the galactic that insulted him and the others laughed.
I walked out of town angrily with Quillava on my shoulder. We reached some tall grass and battled the stress away. When we calmed down I sat on a rock.
“HELP HELP! SOMEONE HELP”
“Aw jeez what now?” I said as a little girl ran towards me, saw me, and ran up to me.
“Help some bad men trapped my daddy in the Wind works and they’re scaring away the balloon Pokemon!”
“Well where’s the Wind works I’ll deal with it” I said
“It's over there but be careful they’re bad men”
“Yeah I got it stay here” I said as I ran to the Wind works.
The Wind works weren’t very complex just a few windmills and a central structure. Everywhere I looked there were team galactic members on guard, battling, or just relaxing in the sun. I walked up and was stopped by a relaxing galactic. He put his hand on my chest stopping me.
“Hey hey where do you think you’re goin? This here isn’t a place for kids” he said
“Get out of my way before I hurt you”
They all laughed. “Ha ha you? Hurt me? Not likely”
I grabbed his arm and flipped him over my back. He landed on his back hitting his head
“OW!” the guards had a quick laugh at him then turned on me.
“Hey kid no one hurts a galactic officer!” I punched him in the face landing him on his butt.
“Who do you think you are?” another officer asked.
“Well one thing’s for sure I’m not just a helpless kid. In fact I am a very pissed, very dangerous kid that happens to hate team galactic”
“Well… uh…” started an officer, he turned to another one “What’s with him?”
“Look all I want is for you to either let the man you are holding prisoner go or leave the Wind works completely”
“HAHAHAHAHA!” all the officers laughed
“That’s some funny stuff kid, ‘let him go’ hahahaha this is a great day!”
I threw out all my Pokemon
“QUILL”
“TAR”
“LUX”
“URSA”
“HAHAHAHAHAHA” more laughter
“What you expect do defeat us with cuteness? Or, or maybe those Pokemon are ultra powerful and you were chosen for some destiny and defeating us is necessary to fulfill it”
“Close” is all I said
“HAHAHAHAHA”
“QUILLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!” Quillava shot a huge bust of flames to demonstrate his power. This got most of the guards to stop laughing and look surprised.
“Yeah that’s right shut up and move” I said and a few actually did but most just threw out Pokemon. They were all Zubat and Glameow Teddiursa took most of them down before getting a scratch, and the Glameow that delivered the scratch got a Dynamicpunch to the face.
In a few minutes all of team Galactic’s Pokemon were KO’ed and they were really afraid of me now. Most of them ran inside leaving one very terrified officer.
“Y-you can’t get inside without a key!” he said as he ran locking the door from the inside.
“Crap where am I going to find a key?” I said. Just then something glinted on the ground. “Oh you’ve got to be kidding me he dropped a key?” I walked up and sure enough it was a key. I walked up to the door and the key fit and turned unlocking the door.

Ch 14: My view

I entered the Wind works expecting there to be guards lining the walls but all there was, was the guard that dropped the key.
“Oh man how did you get in?”
“You dropped the key “
“Aw shoot I have to tell the boss” he ran deeper in.
I walked around for a bit exploring the Wind works. Surprisingly even though about 100 guards ran in I only saw and battled a few and those few didn’t stand a chance. They all had weak Pokemon telling me that either the “Boss” had weak Pokemon or he/she kept all the strong ones for his/herself.
After a while I heard a conversation.
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Are you saying some kid beat all my guards and is now in here aiming to get rid of Team Galactic?”
“Yes commander Mars. He is in here right now he may even be right around a corner listening to us”. He had no idea how right he was.
“Then why don’t I believe you?” said Mars
“Because you hate visiting the infirmary?”
“No. It’s because there is no possible way some kid got in here without a key”
“You mean this key?” I said as I turned the corner.
“Okay he has a key and he’s in the Wind works that doesn’t mean he has ‘ultra powerful Pokemon’ like you said. By the way kid what’s your name” said Mars who I now saw was a girl.
“I don’t explain much to scum” I said and this really seemed to strike a nerve in Mars.
“Why you little…”
“However I will say that I indeed came here to get rid of you”
“Heh, I’ll make you a bet then” said Mars calming down “I’ll battle your ‘ultra powerful Pokemon’ as my inferiors describe them. If I win you join us, however if you manage to win, we’ll pack up and leave letting the prisoners go”
“Sounds fair enough” I said
“Great time to battle, does 4 Pokemon sound fair to you?”
“I only have 4”
Same here, now I’ll start with Zubat!” she sent out a Zubat sending me on the floor laughing.
I recovered from seeing another Zubat “Go Larvitar!”
“TAR!”
The two Pokemon squared off, Larvitar following the Zubat’s random movements. Suddenly the Zubat went into a dive. Larvitar stood firm letting the Zubat ram him. This resulted in Larvitar sliding back a few inches and Zubat crashing to the ground knocked out.
“GRRRR! Fine I’ll admit Zubat was weak but now I send out Glameow!”
“Meow”
“Fine go ahead Larvitar can handle a thousand of those!”
“Not poisoned he can’t”
“WHAT?”
I looked at Larvitar and he seemed to be a bit less sturdy. This lasted only a second as a purple encasement shot off of him revealing a perfectly healthy Larvitar underneath. Larvitar then rushed the un-expecting Glameow which had no time to react as he slammed his fist right under Glameow’s chin. This sent Glameow into a wall and knocked it out.
“Okay maybe Glameow was weak too but… hey what’s with your Larvitar?”
Larvitar had a now familiar white glow in which he grew and changed shape.
“Pupitar!” said the newly evolved Pupitar.
“Fine whatever even evolved Pokemon are no match for my Golbat!”
She sent out a new Pokemon that I guessed was the evolved form of Zubat.
“GOL!”
“Well if he’s stronger than Pupitar should have to put the same amount of effort as when Larvitar fought Zubat”
“TAR!”
The two Pokemon started to exchange blows. It actually seemed like the Golbat would win. Pupitar was having a hard time keeping up with the faster and stronger Pokemon. Golbat suddenly screeched sending Pupitar into a fit.
“HA your Pokemon is confused!”
Pupitar continued to attack randomly only managing to land weak blows on Golbat. Eventually I got tired of watching Pupitar get beat on so I brought him back and sent out Teddiursa instead. Teddiursa’s first move was a Dynamicpunch landing right on the middle of Golbat’s face. I thought that it would have finished Golbat right then and there but it got right back up and screeched again. Teddiursa seemed not to hear it and punched Golbat again. At this point Golbat was getting tired and in response he slowed down just enough for Teddiursa to land the finishing blow. He hit Golbat with the force of a Dynamicpunch but it was really a Thunderpunch making the move stronger because Golbat’s weakness is electricity.
“GAH you got lucky! But you won’t be able to beat my trump card!” she threw out one last Poke ball and out came the sturdiest looking Pokemon I’d seen.
“Purugly” it said
Teddiursa launched a Dynamicpunch that hit Purugly in the face. The Pokemon barely flinched.
“What kind of freak defense does that thing have” I asked as Teddiursa launched in turn Thunderpunch, another Dynamicpunch, and a Fire punch all with seemingly no effect. Teddiursa kept hitting and hitting it until the point came when Purugly got annoyed and bit Teddiursa in the side. Teddiursa was already exhausted at this point so that bite finished him. He collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. “Alright now you got lucky that’s only 1 of 4 so now I send Pupitar out again” I did and now I thought they were evenly matched in defense.
Pupitar’s first move was very wise. He whipped up a sandstorm dealing steady damage to Purugly while affecting its accuracy. Pupitar now had the upper hand. With a type increase and it being affected by the sandstorm he was now even stronger. The two Pokemon continued to fight for a while and soon were both exhausted.
“Pupitar finish this with earthquake!” I yelled
Pupitar slammed himself to the ground causing it to shake. Purugly lost its balance and took some major damage but it still got up and when it did it attacked Pupitar and that sent him beyond his limit. He fell to the ground knocked out.
“Alright your Pokemon is near its limit and I still have 2 fresh Pokemon. Go Luxio!”
Luxio came out eager for battle and quickly finished off the Purugly with a zap cannon.
After the battle team galactic held to their part of the deal and left, but not without a final word
“You’re good kid. I’ll tell my superiors and who knows? Maybe you will eventually join us.”
“Not likely, now get out.” They listened and left the Wind works. Right after some workers came up, thanked me for saving them, and the little girl came in. After a weird conversation between the girl and her dad I left the Wind works behind thinking to myself that I’d definitely need to come back sometime to see the balloon Pokemon.

Ch 15: my view

I returned to Florama town noticing the team galactic members guarding the field were gone. I healed my Pokemon at the Pokemon center and immediately went over there to check it out. I entered the field and saw one tree in the middle of it and around the tree were team galactic members. I ran up to them
“Hey when I kicked you out of the Wind works I didn’t mean for you to stay in town!” I said
One turned around “What are you talking about? Hey you’re the kid who insulted us. He pulled out a poke ball and sent out a Zubat. I took out all of the Galactic’s Pokemon with Luxio and chased them away Revealing a man standing against a tree.
“Oh thank you thank you they tried to steal my honey to attract Pokemon but you came just in time here take a free sample!” he handed me a few jars of honey and I put them away in my pack. We had a conversation about how to use honey to attract Pokemon then he pointed me in the direction of Eternia city where the next gym battle was. I left thanking him and went on the trail to Eternia. On the trail I came across trainers and new Pokemon. One in particular seemed very interested in me and my battle style. After I finished with the trainers I went over to this Pokemon. He instantly went into a battle pose.
“Hey wait I just want to talk” I said
“Bui?” it said as it dropped its arms.
“I’ve noticed that you’ve taken an interest in my battling”
“BUI!” it said as it nodded.
“So I’ve come to the conclusion that you either want to fight me, or come with me, or both” I said
“Bui” it said nodding at the third option.
“Should I send out any Pokemon or do you want to choose?”
“BUI!” it said pointing to all 4 poke balls
“Alright you choose then” I said “Come on out everyone”
“TAR”
“URSA”
“LUX”
“QUILL”
They looked at the Pokemon then at me.
“He wants to come with us after we battle him, he’s choosing his opponent” I explained
“Buizel” it said pointing to Luxio.
“Alright then you’ll fight Luxio, just a warning though Buizel Luxio has the type advantage”
“BUI!” he yelled as he went back to his battle pose.
He and Luxio started the battle like most others. They squared off exchanging light blows to test the other. Suddenly Buizel launched at Luxio with an Aqua Jet. Luxio used Zap Cannon to deflect the move and that sent Buizel rolling on the ground. He slowly got up with his hand on his knee.
“Hold up Luxio” I said. I walked over to Buizel “You okay?”
“BUI!” he yelled putting his other hand up to stop me. He then stood back up wincing at the pain in his knee.
The two Pokemon resumed the battle with Buizel forgetting about his knee. They exchanged more blows. Luxio continued giving Buizel little zaps here and there while Buizel attacked Luxio whenever he could. The battle lasted for a while until Buizel charged Luxio with another aqua jet. This time he caught Luxio off guard and rammed his side. Luxio skidded back a few feet then hit Buizel with a tackle that he turned into a Thunder Fang. He bit Buisel’s arm and sent the charge through him. Buizel flew up a few feet then came back down hard. He tried to get back up but he couldn’t. Luxio couldn’t call victory because Buizel was still conscious and trying to get back up. I tried to help Buizel but he wouldn’t let me. He’d just wave me away. Eventually he did get back up long enough to take a step toward Luxio but he just fell and this time he was knocked out.
“Alright good job Luxio” I said patting him on the head. I walked over to Buizel and healed him. “You did great against Luxio most Pokemon don’t even stand a chance against him even with type advantages, and here you are with a type weak to electricity actually recovering from Zap cannon.”
“Bui?”
“Luxio’s zap cannon once took out a higher leveled rock Pokemon” I explained remembering when Luxio indeed took out a trainer’s Golem with a zap cannon.
“Bui” he said rubbing his neck in that way that said ‘oh really I just kinda did it not really something to get excited about’.
“Alright you had your battle ready to come with me?”
“BUI!” he yelled pumping his arm in the air.
“Great!” I said pulling out a Poke ball and tossing it at Buizel. I waited patiently as it stopped vibrating then I brought Buizel out.
“BUI!” he yelled happy to be a part of my team.
“Yeah! Now I have 5 Pokemon”

Ch 16: my view

I walked along the path for a while thinking that the next gym leader didn’t stand a chance when I heard a familiar voice.
“Hey Drake I thought you’d be way ahead of me by now!” said Lucas as he came running up.
“Hey Lucas what’s new?”
“Well I caught a few Pokemon and some of them evolved” he said “What’s new with you?”
“Well where do I begin? All of my Pokemon except foe Teddiursa have evolved, I caught a Buizel, and the part that explains why I’m only this far and why you caught me: I saved a little girl’s dad and his co-workers at the Wind works from Team Galactic, saved an old man obsessed with honey from Team Galactic, and, oh yeah I now have Team Galactic as an admirer.” I said
“Whoa, that’s heavy, wait what do you mean ‘admirer’?”
“Well when I kicked them out of the area their ‘boss’ a girl named Mars said that they wanted me in Team Galactic after I creamed her Pokemon, by comparison she was actually a challenge compared to most trainers I’ve battled.”
“Whoa, that’s impressive”
“Thanks, hey it looks like we have to go through this forest to get to Eternia” I said.
“Yeah, hey you want to go through with me, I’d love to see your Pokemon”
“Don’t see why not”
“Great let’s go” he said and we entered the forest.
When we entered the forest the first thing we noticed was a girl about our age looking around. She seemed scared.
“Hey what’s wrong?” Lucas said as we walked up.
“OH… uh hi. I need to get through the forest but I’m scared there have been reports of an evil organization called Team galactic and they may be here in the forest ready to steal people’s Pokemon” she said
“What’s your name?” said Lucas
“Oh my name’s Cheryl” she said
“Well Cheryl if it makes you feel better we’ll come with you” said Lucas
“Oh thank you but I don’t think it would look very good with one girl traveling with two boys”
“That’s fine you can travel with Lucas I’m not planning on going straight through the forest” I said
“Why Drake? I think she’d be a lot safer with you” said Lucas
“Not with what I’m planning to do, if she wants to get through the forest she can go with you because I’m going looking for Team Galactic”
“Oh in that case I’ll go with Lucas” said Cheryl.
“Alright then see you in Eternia Drake” said Lucas and he started his trek to Eternia with Cheryl.
I spent hours looking in the woods for any sign of team Galactic asking any trainer I met about them. About halfway through the forest I realized that team galactic wasn’t in the woods which meant that they were in Eternia, in turn that means Lucas and Cheryl were heading towards team Galactic not away from them. I started running to the end of the woods quickly battling the trainers that were quick enough to challenge me. I caught them near the end of the forest.
“Hey wait, hold up!” I yelled
“What’s wrong?” said Cheryl.
“Team galactic isn’t anywhere in the forest which means that they are ahead of us” I explained
“How do you know that they aren’t behind us?” she asked
“He took out about 150 of them in Florama town” Lucas said
“Yeah I mean come on you think that I would go looking for them without thinking I could take them?”
“Wow your Pokemon must be really strong” she said
“Yes they are, now listen if they aren’t here that means that they are most likely in Eternia city” I said
“Well how about I stay here until you get rid of team galactic, then one of you can come and get me when you’re done” said Cheryl
“Are you sure? Do you have enough supplies to last a while?” asked Lucas
“Dude of course she does otherwise she wouldn’t have suggested it” I said then I reconsidered “You do have enough supplies right?”
“Yes I do, just like you said I wouldn’t have suggested it if I didn’t” Cheryl said confirming what I said
Lucas still unsure checked that Cheryl had enough and when he was satisfied came after me.

Ch 17: my view

We arrived in Eternia running. Occasionally stopping to ask if people had heard about team Galactic. With the info we gathered they were in the big building towards the north end of the city, and it was completely surrounded by high shrubs.
“Crap there’s no way in!” I shouted
“On the bright side there’s no way out” said Lucas as a hovercraft came over his head carrying team galactic members. “WHY? Why always when I say something I’m proved wrong” after he said this, another group of Galactic’s cut their way through the shrubs which instantly grew back.
“We need to cut those shrubs” I said
“According to the Pokemon league guide Gardenia’s badge, she’s this towns gym leader, allows you to use the move Cut outside of battle, and he provides the HM Cut to those who beat her” said Lucas reading from a book
“Where’d you get that? I asked confused
“I bought it, but who cares we have to beat Gardenia!”
“Right, I saw the gym over there” I said as I started running.
We ran all the way to the gym, entered, ran past some dude trying to give us advice about Gardenia (Most likely we already knew what he was going to say), and into a huge room that looked like an indoor forest.
“Great now how do we find Gardenia?” I said looking for some sort of hint to her location.
“Hey boys are you looking for me?” said a girl dressed in all green with short orange hair.
“Are you gardenia?” asked Lucas
“Yes”
“Then yes” I said “We’re here for a gym battle” I explained
“Oh sorry the gym is closed for the night”
“What it’s like 4:00!” Lucas shouted
“When does the gym open again?” I asked
“At 10:00 A.M.” she said
“You obviously use Grass Pokemon” I said
“How can you tell from the hours the gym is open?” asked Lucas
“10:00 to 4:00 are when the sun gives off the most light around here, and have you not noticed the forest I mean you are standing in a ring of trees”
“Hey you know I have horrible observation skills”
“We’ll just have to wait until morning” I said then I looked at Gardenia “Know anywhere to spend the night?”
“Actually we have a few rooms here in the gym, they are all forest themed but very comfortable” she said.
“That would be great!” said Lucas “do you have three rooms?”
“Why?” asked Gardenia
“Well… there’s this girl in Eternia forest and she was too scared to come into town so I was hoping I could bring her here to stay for a while” he explained
“That’s no problem just go get her and rest up for the night” said Gardenia
“Thanks a lot!” shouted Lucas as he ran out the door to get Cheryl.
Gardenia led me to a room and directed me in. I shut the door as she left and walked over to a shrub-like desk and placed my pack on it for the night. Knowing the possible dangers I removed the poke balls from the pack and placed them under the desk with Pupitar out to watch. I then fell asleep for the night, looking forward to getting my second badge and getting rid of another team galactic threat.



Ch 18: my view

I woke up early in the morning. The first thing I did was check my pack for any stolen items. Finding nothing missing, I returned Pupitar to his poke ball and gathered up the other 4 and went to the main entrance to the gym.
When I arrived I found Lucas talking with Cheryl and Gardenia. It looked to be a pleasant conversation so I made sure not to interrupt but Lucas had other ideas.
“Hey Drake! Come on over I was just telling these two about that time in Oreburgh”
“You were really brave back then just like before in the forest” said Cheryl
“Yeah, taking down a Rayquaza, even a fake one is quite a feat! I’m starting to have second thoughts about battling you, I might just give you the badge and say you beat me. Everyone would think it was true!” said gardenia.
“And meeting Entei that early on in your journey, I have a feeling you are destined for great things” said Cheryl.
‘If you only knew’ I thought to myself. Then out loud I said: “Enough about the past that’s happened, now is the present and I’m sure that I’m not the only one that’s hungry”
I immediately regretted saying that but to my surprise everyone laughed! Gardenia led us into a kitchen and we each got a great breakfast.
‘Jeez I hope that we don’t have to pay for all this, she’s running a gym and a bed and breakfast!’ After we ate gardenia told us that the sun still hasn’t reached the preferable angle for a battle so she sent us out for some sight-seeing.
We walked around for a bit purposely avoiding the team galactic building. We found a bike shop that only had insanely expensive bikes. The owner said he’d give a free bike to those who beat Gardenia so we noted the shops location and planned on coming back later. A few minutes after that we saw an awesome statue of a powerful looking Pokémon.
“It says something but it’s worn off” said Lucas as we admired it. “Says something about what it is and why it’s important but I can only make out some of it.”
“That’s Dialga” said a small boy “everyone knows about him here in Eternia City”
“Care to tell us more?” Lucas asked hoping for more of an explanation.
“You must separate and protect Dialga and his twin” said a voice in my head. Suddenly I was hit with a huge headache and collapsed to the ground clutching my head. I couldn’t hear or see anything but I was sure I was screaming. I blacked out and was silenced.
I woke up in a hospital bed with monitors all around me and sensors on my head. I sat up and looked around in the room and found a doctor at the door.
“Wha-”
“Don’t speak your voice has been strained, all talking will do is hurt it more” she walked up to the monitors. “WOW! You have a lot going on up there! You’re a very smart Kid aren’t you? Wait sorry don’t answer that, it’s just these readings are above average for someone your age. Did well in school I presume?”
I nodded. Then I realized that I didn’t have by pack which meant that they had either taken it or I just haven’t spotted it yet.
I heard the door open and I saw Lucas, Cheryl, and Gardenia come in, and thankfully Lucas had my pack.
“What happened?” I said completely ignoring the doctor’s worried look as she thought about my voice.
“Uh… I actually was about to ask you the same thing. But I guess I’ll go first. A kid had just mentioned the name of the Pokémon statue we were at then you grabbed your head and started screaming. You blacked out and we brought you here” Lucas explained
“Well I have to go and check on other patients, be sure not to talk too much” the doctor said as she left. Then Lucas shooed away Gardenia and Cheryl and sat next to me.
“Your turn” was what he said.
“What?”
“I left this out when we brought you here but when you were screaming you were saying something. I asked Cheryl if she heard it but she covered her ears. So I was the only one to hear it. You were saying weird stuff I barely caught it without my ears covered but I think you were shouting names and something about being chosen. So now we’re alone so you can explain”
“Dude I was screaming that’s all I know, if you heard anything it was probably your own imagination”
“I heard something and I’d like to know what” he said “I heard the name Mesprit, and something about an evil darkness”
“Alright Mesprit I know, the professor told me about how there was three lake spirits and the spirit at Lake Verity was named Mesprit”
“Are you sure that’s all you know?”
“Yes I’m sure can I have my bag back?”
He gave me my bag then said “By the way Gardenia gave you her badge, you weren’t awake for the battle so I used your Pokémon, didn’t give a single command and they wiped her out so her badge is in your badge case”
“Thanks, how long do you think it’s gonna be before they let me out?”
“Dunno, but it’ll be soon the only damage is your throat and that isn’t permanent so it should be soon, maybe even today, I’m heading on to the next town, maybe we’ll run into each other again”
“What about team galactic?”
“You can handle them, I only came along for the badge”
“Hey Lucas”
“What”
“I think Cheryl likes you”
“I haven’t noticed” said Lucas now thinking about Cheryl most likely “well I’m going ahead, bye” he left to get the third badge.

Ch 19: my view

I was released from the hospital a few days after Lucas left, apparently being smart nowadays is rare and normally means some brain disease, they found nothing wrong with me then released me to resume my journey
The first thing I did was to make sure Lucas hadn’t lied about using my Pokémon against Gardenia. I walked to the gym and found it locked. There seemed to be areas in the wall that looked like they had been attacked, and the windows were covered by sheets of metal.
“Oh GOD! What happened?’ I said to myself as I looked more around town finding only a select few buildings that were open to customers and visitors. “This has Team Galactic written all over it!” I ran to the other end of town finding the Pokémon center heavily guarded by police. “What’s going on here?” I asked one of the officers.
“There has been an attack by a group of unidentified people, they came from the north end of town and seemed only interested in stealing Pokémon and Pokémon items”
“Has anyone seen these people?”
“Hard not to, they swarmed the town”
“Got a picture of them?”
“Yes in fact I do” the officer pulled out a picture of what seemed to be a parade of Team Galactic.
“Wow I was dead on in accusing them” I said “These people are Team Galactic, they have a base here in Eternia, I saw it when I first came into Eternia”
“How didn’t you know about the attack? Asked the officer
“I was just released from the hospital, blacked out at the Dialga statue”
“Well don’t feel bad you aren’t the first, anyway you said you knew where their base was?”
“Yeah it’s the tall one with spikes on it surrounded by shrubs”
“Can't get in, shrubs won’t budge and won’t burn either”
“Have you tried cutting them?”
“Buddy we used the most powerful pair of shears we could find, those shrubs are impenetrable”
“How many men can you spare?”
“If you’re going into that base I want in, those creeps attacked my family” said another officer.
“Including him I can spare 5”
“Great then have them come with me”
“What makes you think I’ll just give over my men. Heck what makes you think you can defeat a whole base of people the whole police force couldn’t stand up to”
“I’ve already ridded one city of them, heard about Florama?”
“Dude! That was you?” said a third officer
“Yes”
“Fine then take my 4 best men and Officer Jenny and go” said the first officer
The 5 police followed me as I ran to the base of Team Galactic. I quickly found that Lucas had also left me a copy of the HM Cut, taught it to Pupitar and slashed right through the shrubs surrounding the base. Then we entered stealthily into what could only be described as the belly of the beast.





Ch 20: my View

The officers decided to search for the stolen goods while I went ahead and searched for the Person in charge. I ran up the first flight of stairs and stopped just before the second floor. Right around the corner was a team Galactic grunt and he hadn’t seen me yet. I looked around for a way to avoid him and spotted a pipe running along the ceiling. I silently called out Quilava and Teddiursa.
I looked around the corner to see if there were any more guards in the hallway. Seeing none I lifted Quilava up onto the pipe. He ran along it silently avoiding the guard’s attention. He stopped short of an intersection to make sure no one was coming then blew a tiny line of fire over the pipe to signal the all clear.
As the fire hit the wall at our end I flipped over the stairwell and knocked out the guard. Teddiursa and I then ran down the hall to meet Quilava who signaled that guards were coming from the right. I instantly slammed myself against the wall so they wouldn’t see me as they came by, and if they did see me I had Quilava and Teddiursa to back me up.
Luckily for me the guards ran right past me to another stairway that led downstairs. Quilava ran along the pipe above the hallway the guards had come from and up the stairs. A few seconds later four little blasts came down the stairs signaling that Quilava saw guards and no way around them without battling. I quietly brought out Luxio, Buizel, and Pupitar and ran to the bottom of the stairs. I stopped short of them and found Quilava hiding in a tunnel he burned into the wall. I instructed him to do this if he thought he’d been seen. He was supposed to make it deep enough that people would have to reach in a little to grab him and when they did Quilava would burn them. No one had come yet so I looked up the stairs and saw three guards joking around.
I turned to Pupitar and told him to control only a little bit of sand and put it in their eyes to temporarily blind them so I could get Quilava out of his little hole and knock the guards out. That plan went very smoothly with one little speed bump. One of the guards pressed his radio button for a second before I knocked him out and now someone was responding.
“Hey what’s goin on did you purposely contact us, is something wrong?”
I quickly mimicked the now unconscious guards voice “Sorry musta bumped it on the wall. Nothing wrong” the guard on the other end believed me and told me to be more careful.
With my Pokémon out I ran down the hall. Quilava and Buizel were running along the pipe, Luxio and Teddiursa ran on either side of me while Pupitar covered behind us. We encountered no more guards for the next 3 floors but on the sixth floor it would have taken a miracle to get through unnoticed by someone. We stopped short of the stairs again because we heard some angry voices and occasionally some laughter. I listened in on what was going on:
“So you actually thought you could send 5 police in and take down an entire base of Galactic’s?”
“hey we got this far didn’t we?” said an angry officer.
“Yes you three did but the officer jenny and another officer ran back to your boss leaving you behind”
“you will be stopped” said the same officer. This got a laugh out of all the Galactic’s
“By who? You and a couple of knocked out police? I rather doubt that”
“Not by me but you will be stopped”
“I’m still wondering, who has the guts to come in alone when word spreads that Eternia’s finest have fallen?”
“Well there’s always me” I said from my new vantage point in the rafters. I had climbed up there while the guards were distracted with laughing.
“And who, might I ask, are you” said the galactic who had been talking. He was standing protectively in front of a girl dressed exactly like Mars had been
“He needs no introduction, I know who he is” said the girl “Come to reconsider Mars’ offer and join us? I have a feeling you’d shoot up the ranks faster than I did”
“I gave Mars my final answer when I kicked her and her followers out of the Wind works” I said “But if you’d really want me to think about it, why don’t you tell me the grand plan for team Galactic?” I jumped down from the rafters into a spot cleared by the Galactic’s “Gahead, attack me. Give me another reason to not only reject the offer to join, but also another reason for me to oppose everything team galactic does”
“Leave him!” commanded the girl “And as for the grand plan I cannot tell you in front of these pests!” she shot a look at the officers.
“Well then kick ‘em out, tell them not to come back”
“Fine! You 5 take the officers off galactic grounds!” 5 grunts took the police and carried them out of the room. “Now the grand plan for Team Galactic. Understand that our leader is very secretive about the journey so I won’t be able to tell you how we are going to do it but only what we are going to do. Team galactic has a dream that we can create another universe just for us. We’d be all alone, free to do whatever we desired without anyone at our throats telling us what not to do. It would be a perfect world, free of crime, free of evil. Of course we’d take two of every Pokémon into the new world so that it would be remotely similar to this world. Team galactic exists only to complete this vision, and as our leader sees it you are either going to be the greatest asset team galactic has ever seen, or our greatest foe. He has decided to take a less forceful path with you; ever since you defeated Mars he has instructed his greater officers to not attack you unless you are absolutely sure you won’t join us. So I ask you again Drake, will you join team Galactic?”
I considered all of the variables, removing what happened before I went into the Wind works. They just needed power that’s why they attacked the Wind works. Or did they actually ask to use it first. “What exactly happened at the Wind works? Why did you attack it?”
“We needed power. The Wind works was in the most promising area to obtain it. We first sent letters asking if we could use it because all it was doing was sitting there storing energy. They were using it as a place to study the weather so we believed that they could spare a few months, go to a similar location in another nearby area. They refused. We started sending grunts to deliver the message in person. Most came back bloodied and bruised up, we interrogated them afterwards and they said the scientists used Pokémon against them. One day all the scientists but one, the one that was there when you showed up, all but he had left so Mars went in person to ask if she could use the Wind works or at least tap into the power it was generating. He was considering it while his daughter was playing outside with some of Mars’ grunts she tripped and one of them tried to catch her. He missed barely and as the girl got up she thought he had pushed her to the ground so she ran inside crying and told the scientist that the grunt had pushed her. He stereotyped all Galactic’s as evil power hungry villains and once again denied our use of the Wind works. I will admit some of our members are a bit rough which explains your first and second encounter. Actually no one was supposed to touch Professor Rowan at all; those grunts were actually fired from team galactic and were trying to smudge its name. As well as your second encounter with them shoving you to the ground, when we learned of this those grunts were also punished. And the fourth encounter in the field. We needed honey to attract bug Pokémon. We offered the guy money but he wouldn’t sell. Those grunts were also punished.”
“What about the raiding I’ve been hearing about?” the guard to the girls left cringed.
“What raids? I know nothing of this!”
“Ma’am” said the guard “I apologize we didn’t inform you accurately of how we obtained the Pokémon and items from the city”
“You led a raid!?!”
“Not I but I was in it yes”
“So you actually knew nothing of this?” I asked
“No I did not; I hope it doesn’t change your answer that there were raids”
“Up until just now I was sure I’d say no but now without that element in consideration…” I thought for a while, “for now I’ll have to be undecided, anything I learn about team galactic WILL affect my answer when the next person asks, but for now I’ll have to stand by the police or else I’d be hunted wherever I go.”
“I understand” said the girl “So you wish us to stop activity in Eternia?”
“If it leads to you getting extremely mad at me no, otherwise I’m just asking for you to uh…”
“Would Pause activities be acceptable?” she asked
“Yeah you don’t have to leave the base or the city just make sure that nothing bad happens in the future”
“You have Commander Jupiter’s word, nothing lawbreaking will come from the Eternia Branch of Team Galactic”
“Law breaking?”
“We won’t provoke the police to want to shut us down; we’ll live like ordinary citizens” Saturn explained.
“Good enough” I said and started for the stairs.
“Wait Drake!” Jupiter yelled.
“Yeah what?”
“Could I trouble you for a battle? I’d like to see your abilities.”
“Sure I came here for that in the first place”
“Great! Then let’s start!” Saturn sent out a Zubat.
“Hold on one moment, why does every person in team galactic have a Zubat? In Florama they had Zubat and Glameow, here you have Zubat and…”
“Most grunts here carry the Pokémon Stunky” said the guard
“Okay is there another commander?”
“Yes actually, commander Saturn” said Jupiter
“And his grunts have Zubat and…”
“I know that Saturn himself has a Bronzong so his grunts should have the pre-evolved form of it” said the guard.
“Okay so with that cleared up, why Zubat?”
“It is very common and easy to level up” said Jupiter.
“Makes sense, okay back to the battle, Go Pupitar!”
Pupitar took down Zubat like it was routine. And then Jupiter sent out her Stunky. Pupitar gave Stunky quite a beating but Stunky pulled through with a shadow claw and took Pupitar out. I then sent out Luxio and he took Stunky out easily. Jupiter then sent out Golbat and Luxio had to put some effort into taking it down.
“Okay here comes my best Pokémon!” Jupiter shouted as she threw her fourth and final poke ball. Out came the evolved form of Stunky.
“Skuntank!” it shouted as it shot gas at Luxio. Luxio held his breath as best he could but eventually he let in a bit of the noxious fumes and fainted.
“Oh, that’s gonna be a problem” I said. I decided to see what Buizel could do against Skuntank and sent him out.
“BUI!!” he shouted. Skuntank faced Buizel and strategized. Buizel just charged right in with an aqua jet that caught Skuntank off guard. He rolled to dodge but was too late, the jet hit him almost head on. Buizel followed up with a sonic boom that sent Skuntank flying across the room. Buizel went to hit him with another aqua jet but Skuntank hit him with a shadow claw that broke through the water and hit Buizel on the side of the head.
“Ha! Your Buizel won’t be able to battle now!” said Jupiter
“bui…” came a weak response as Buizel got up and seemed to recover even be more energetic than before and to show this he jumped and launched 10 sonic booms in a row at the unexpecting Skuntank. Naturally no Pokémon can take 10 powerful blows almost at once so Skuntank fell over knocked out.
“BUI!!!” Buizel shouted as he pumped his fist in the air.
“Hmm… you are pretty good. Sure you won’t join? You’d make a great teammate.” Said Jupiter
“Sorry I gave you my answer I’ll have to think about it… uh… what’s the shortest route out of the building?”
“I’ll have a guard escort you to the hedges, you’ll have to cut through them though, I don’t want the police to come snooping around again because they saw one of us”
“Sure sounds good”
“We’ll heal your pokemon before you go” she offered
“Thanks, uh, you do realize this isn’t changing my answer right?”
“Yeah I know, I was just being hospitable, you aren’t an enemy at the moment so I have no reason to not be nice”
“Well thanks, maybe I’ll reconsider by the time I reach Saturn, I mean Commander Saturn not the planet!” I quickly corrected myself. To be honest I wasn’t looking forward to a full scale galactic assault, yet.
After Jupiter healed my pokemon and escorted me personally outside she waved goodbye as she walked off. I cut through the hedges without another thought and told the police I took care of team galactic for them.
After that I went down to the gym, pried the wood away from the doors, and found gardenia training in her indoor forest. After I told her the city was safe (I left out that I saved it) she re-opened the gym and thanked me for getting her. I walked out of town and had just passed the bike shop when-
“Hey kid! You wanted a bike right?”
“Nah I’m good with walking”
“Nonsense, you stopped by here a few days ago”
“With my friends” I said
“Aw, just take one in case you need it”
“Fine”
I am not very proud to say, I now own a perfectly unneeded bike.
After I FINALLY made it out of Eternia City I decided to do some entirely unnecessary training. Nothing exciting happened at all for the remainder of the day. At that point I was actually thinking “Dude what happened to the danger!”

Ch 21: my view

I had absolutely no idea where I was. One moment I was setting up camp outside Eternia city, next I was… somewhere else. It was dark and I could hear voices. Too many to hear what they said. Things started to clear up a bit. I was in the middle of a city street and people were running past me.
I tried to see what they were running from but all I saw was a huge shadowy figure.
“The time is near” said Mesprit in my head “The first of the ancients will soon be upon us, be prepared”
I sat up in my makeshift tent rubbing my head “uh… good it was just a dream”
“Drake I apologize for what happened in Eternia” said Mesprit
“Where are you?!?” I shouted
“I cannot reveal myself this far from the lake for fear of drawing all the ancient ones right to you, but I am close”
“What exactly happened in Eternia?”
“The statue emits a strong psychic energy that interfered with my telepathy, that’s why you got the headache”
“So what was that dream just now, I heard your voice”
“I am not certain I received that from one of the other spirits”
“Well thanks for clearing some stuff up I appreciate it”
“You are welcome… ”
“What’s wrong?”
“I thought I sensed something, but it is gone now. I must leave, be safe”
Mesprit disappeared from my mind so I decided to start my day.
I cleaned up my campsite and returned the trees to their upright positions and headed north.
The day wasn’t all that eventful. A few trainers wanted battles, I took them out easily. Not many Pokémon showed up on the way. Weirder yet, they seemed to be getting less and less abundant the more I walked to the mountain, weird.
The mountain seemed to hang over me as I walked to its base. I looked to the top but something was averting my eyes away from it. Some sort of psychic energy. I focused all my energy into seeing what lay at the top and I almost had it when something hit me, hard.
I got to my feet wincing at the pain in my arm. I saw nothing that could have hit me. I looked at my arm and found that it was burned. I reached for my pack to get out one of my Pokémon but another blast that I barely dodged prevented me from successfully getting one. I scanned the surrounding area, looking for some sort of Pokémon. Meanwhile I made a motion like I was going to hold my arm but at the last second jammed my hand into my pack and pulled out a poke ball. I prayed that the Pokémon I managed to get would be very helpful in this situation. I quickly tossed it off behind a rock sending out my Luxray!
“YES!!!” I shouted pumping my fist then dodging another blast. Luxray saw this and instantly scanned the shrubbery for the attacking Pokémon. He pounced into the bushes. I heard some rustling then Luxray unleashed a lightning attack that could have started a large fire easily then flew out and landed on his side. He was out. I ran behind a rock quickly before I got shot at again. Behind the rock I clenched my arm as dust fell into it causing almost unbearable pain. I reached into my bag again and hoped for a miracle. I pulled out a poke ball and tossed it in front of me. Out came the best thing I had seen ever (considering the state I was in a Band-Aid would have been the best thing ever). It was Pupitar.
“SWEET!” I shouted knowing Pupitar’s defense was up there with the best. “Okay Pupitar I need you to get over to Luxray and bring him to me. There is something out there that will most likely attack you so be careful.
“Tar!” he said as he flew around the rock and sped over to the next. As predicted something shot at Pupitar. I actually expected it to send him flying away but Pupitar basically flew right through it as if it never existed.
I nearly flipped in excitement; finally I had a shot to take this thing down. But first thing first. I had to get Luxray out of there.
Pupitar flew over to Luxray whipping up a sandstorm to hide him from the attacker. He then flew over to me with Luxray. I grabbed Luxray and put him on my back and ran for the mountain.
The sandstorm let up just before we made it inside and we were shot at again. I ran harder and dived into the cave. The shot hit the wall next to us and the cave sealed off.
“Well that sucked” I said to Pupitar and Luxray.

Ch 22: my view

Inside the cave I quickly checked Pupitar for any wounds. Satisfied with finding none I switched my attention to Luxray. It was pretty bad. he got a really bad burn on his front left shoulder and across his face, his front right leg was broken, and we was cut up everywhere. I sent out Buizel, Teddiursa, and Quilava to help. While I bandaged most of Luxray’s cuts I had Buizel and Quilava stand guard at the sealed cave entrance, I had Teddiursa mixing some berries to help with the burns, and I had Pupitar exploring the cave to find a way out. We were in the cave for about an hour with nothing exciting happening.
I had finished bandaging Luxray when there was a large crashing noise at the entrance. I shot up and ran around the corner so I could see the entrance. It was now blown open with a very large Pokémon standing in it. Quilava was off to one side unconscious and Buizel was standing in front of the intruding Pokémon. I returned Quilava making sure no more harm came to him. I also returned Luxray and Teddiursa. Pupitar came flying around the corner a few seconds later. I turned back to the Pokémon to see that Buizel couldn’t fight any longer. What I had thought was just a standoff was really a one-sided battle. I returned Buizel so that all I had out was Pupitar. If this was the thing that was attacking us before I knew Pupitar could handle it.
He flew at the Pokémon crashing into it at rock smashing force. The Pokémon lurched back nearly falling over. Pupitar charged him again hitting it in its underbelly. It screeched and spat out a glowing red substance. I hit a wall and melted right through it!
‘ROOOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!” suddenly a yellow streak flew in and tackled the other Pokémon. It started slashing at it with razor sharp claws. The other Pokémon got up and rammed the yellow Pokémon. Pupitar hit the first Pokémon knocking it off balance. It landed on its back and seemed not to be able to get up.
After this rush I was shocked when the yellow Pokémon spoke, or rather it yelled. “What were you thinking!?! That is a duplicate legendary! No ordinary trainer could fight it by themselves!!!!”
“Hey! Don’t yell at me the thing trapped me in this cave and most of my Pokémon got severely hurt by it!” I shouted back.
“WELL NEXT TIME…” it started “wait, you can understand me?”
“Well yeah, kinda hard not to when your voice is blasting through the cave”
“Forgive me” it said “I am not thinking clearly right now. My name is Raiku, I am the brother of Entei… and he should have told you about me! WHY DIDN’T YOU WAIT FOR ME DID YOU NOT SEE THE STORM CLOUDS?!?!”
“Hey! Don’t yell at me! Entei didn’t tell me anything, he just kinda helped me with the fake Rayquaza and left. No tips about how to find you”
“I may not have a chance to give this to you later so take my storm emblem” he pulled out a medallion with thunderclouds etched into it. “And because I am not a complete moron like Entei I will tell you to watch for Suicune. You will know he is close when the winds shift from the west to the north.”
“Thanks, I really appreciate your help.”
“No problem, now does your Pupitar have enough strength to help me finish this creature?”
“Tar!” he said suddenly coming up behind me.
“I would guess that was a yes” I said
“RRRAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!” Raiku roared as he jolted at the pokemon. He hit it on the side sending it flying across the cavern. Next Pupitar hit the same spot making sure the pokemon was down. Raiku finished it off with a volt tackle and both he and Pupitar came back over to me.
“Tar” said Pupitar
“Indeed my friend that was very easy, maybe I was wrong to say you couldn’t handle it alone.”
“Actually you may have been right, all my other pokemon need serious attention, they were pretty banged up by this thing” I looked over to where it was and in its place was a red plate.
“And of course Heatran would turn out to be a flame plate” said Raiku. “I must hide someone is approaching, send them away” he jumped behind a boulder as a weird guy dressed in blue walked around the other side.
“Do-do do-do-do do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do, oh hello traveler how is your day?”
“Uh … fine, I guess?”
“Oh goody I love it when people have good days. Here just because you are having a good day I want you to have this egg!” he gave me an egg
“Uh, thanks”
“I never got the pokemon inside to evolve; it needs to be with a good trainer.”
“Uh, ok. But doesn’t the pokemon need to hatch in order to evolve?”
“Oh YES! Silly me I forgot to hatch the egg before evolving it. Man am I stupid” he turned and started walking away “Eggs hatch into pokemon, most of those pokemon evolve, and even after that some still evolve!, then you battle with those pokemon and…” he walked around the bend making his voice unhearable.
“WOW, that was annoying, wasn’t it?” asked Raiku as he came back into sight
“Yes yes it was” I said
“well I suppose I should show you the way out then” Raiku said “Hop on, I’ll give you a ride”
“Thanks” I said as I climbed up onto Raiku’s back. He ran around in the cave taking me directly to the other side.
“There is a town up ahead, it specializes in healing herbs. I visit the town often so we won’t need to be too discreet” said Raiku.
“Why visit this town? Why not others?”
“This town is dedicated to legendary pokemon. A few of us come by to visit. You’ll find that Celibi is the most expected”
“So you are just gonna run in and drop me off at their doorstep?”
“Yes that was the plan. It takes a while to walk, and I don’t want to run ‘cause of your arm so you can rest”
“Thank you Raiku”

Ch 23: narration

“he has done well under your protection Mesprit” the three mysterious entities met up again. Uxie was the first to speak.
“Yes and now he will be with you Uxie” replied Mesprit.
“this mountain is the one place we can meet without notice. Hopefully he passes through again” said Azelf.
“But as usual our presence together has drawn some unwelcome visitors. The dark ones are stirring” said Mesprit.
“Yes we must flee back to our domains, Uxie watch over the boy well” said Azelf.
“I shall do the most I am allowed to in order to protect his life” said Uxie as the others faded away. “I only hope it will be enough” Uxie said as he saw something big move inside the mountain.

Ch 24: my view

I woke up in a house. Just a plain old home in the middle of a plain old town. I winced as someone prodded at my arm. I looked to the side to see a grandmother and her granddaughter applying some sort of healing herbs to my burn.
“Hello, it’s not very often that Raiku is kind enough to bring a traveler here, and with such horrible injuries. I do hope your pokemon are okay” said the grandmother.
“I hope you plan to stay a while, not many visitors through here” said the granddaughter. She appeared to be around my age, and she was staring at me kinda funny. “Did you know you talk in your sleep?” she asked me
“Yeah but that seems only to happen after something bad happens to me. What did I say?” I asked
“Mostly some stuff about the lake spirits” she explained
“Huh?” I had no idea what she was talking about.
“Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie, everyone knows about them” said the grandmother.
“You mean everyone knows about them around here, grandma” said the girl
“Wait are these lake spirits the same ones involved in an ancient legend about the creation of the world?” I asked
“Why, yes! They are do you know of them?”
“I am a bit hazy on most of the details but to keep a long story short I am right in the middle of tha-…” I paused when I saw something move in the corner of the house. I stared at the spot for a while and finally made out what seemed to be an invisible pokemon.
“What is it? Why did you stop?” asked the girl
I pointed “I think one of them may be watching us right now”
They both spun o look behind them. The invisible pokemon froze then after a minute came into focus.
“Wow…” was the only thing the girl could say
“Greetings warrior I did not think you could see me” said the pokemon
“Uxie! It’s Uxie the being of knowledge! Oh what a great honor this is!” the grandmother got all excited, then as she got over the initial shock and calmed down Uxie began to talk again.
“I am not permitted to tell you everything, but since you have discovered me I might as well make the experience worthwhile.” Said Uxie
“What aren’t you permitted to tell me?”
“Mostly names of people and pokemon you do not yet know. Now I will start at the beginning starting with the dreams you have had since you were a little kid. They were brought upon by…”




Ch 25: my view

“Wow that’s some heavy stuff” I said as Uxie finished his story. “Saving the world and defeating a god, can it get any tougher than that?”
“It can and will. In the near future you will face many challenges. Some will seem impossible, and yet some others are. One of these challenges involves a pokemon by the name of Suicune”
“Wait it isn’t another one of those fake legends is it?” I asked
“Fake legends?” said the girl, “wait doesn’t that mean…, oh gosh you are the one who saved Oreburgh city?!?”
“How did you know about that?” I asked
“It has been on the news for weeks now. You are nearly famous, but, not in a good way”
“They made it seem as if I was the cause of rayquaza appearing didn’t they?” I asked
“Well, I had better show you” the girl responded
“Wait before that, Uxie is it another fake legend?” I turned to Uxie
“There will be one yes but that is not the challenge. Now I am afraid I have overstayed my welcome I must fade out before my presence draws a dark one” he faded so that he was invisible again.
“Alright but I’d prefer it if you’d stay close” I said in Uxie’s direction
“I am destined not to leave you for a millisecond until you cross over a boundary”
“What?”
“Each lake spirit has a certain area they can travel freely; you are in my territory this moment. In Mt. Coronet our territories cross and we can meet for short amounts of time, but outside of Mt. coronet we must stay away from the boundaries”
“Okay that makes sense” I said then I followed the girl into the other room.
“This has been going nonstop for 3 weeks” she said as she turned on a TV
“-are still looking for twinleaf resident Drake, as seen here in this photo, if he is seen you are advised to immediately inform your local police. The damages caused when the rayquaza attacked Oreburgh are massive, costing millions of dollars-“
“Oh come on! I wasn’t even near town what was destroyed? Millions of dollars of ROCK!?” I shouted then winced as my arm flared up again.
“-warned Roark about digging into a magma vein underneath his gym. This is the only other positive we can pull from this incident.”
“Please turn that off” I said calmly.
“Alright, Hey! You must be hungry after travelling so much. Would you like to have dinner with us?” she asked
“Sorry I would but if Suicune is anything like Raiku then I have to get going” I said then “Uxie, can you at least tell me which way to go?”
“I can only tell you the path you are taking is the right one” Uxie said
“So, on to Veilstone?”
“Yes, on to Veilstone, but first it would be wise to eat, gather strength, make allies” Uxie said
“OK then looks like I can join you after all, uh…”
“Sorry, my name is Cellia. Glad to meet you Drake”

Ch 26: my view

I left Celestic town feeling much better. My arm now had finished throbbing in pain and I was ready to take on the next challenge.
I started onto the route to Veilstone. Soon after I got some battle experience from trainers. It wasn’t till the last trainer that things worth mentioning happened.
“No! Machop!” said the boy.
“Great job Teddiursa, that was amazing.”
“I’m not done yet!” he said “Go Kricketot!”
“Teddiursa use Dynamicpunch!” I said and the Kricketot fell faster than a brick.
“No fair! You cheated!” the boy complained.
“How did I che-”
Suddenly Teddiursa started to glow. The familiar transformation took place as Teddiursa turned into an Ursaring.
“Ursa!” it roared as it threw its head back.
“Sweet Maylene doesn’t stand a chance!” I said as I returned Ursaring to his Poke ball. Suddenly a hyper beam shot and hit a boulder right by my head, another shot just in front of me, a third shot over my head, and I had to shove the boy away from a fourth. I told him to run, run as fast as he could to Veilstone. He responded with a scared nod and booked toward the city. I looked up a nearby cliff in the direction the hyper beams came from. The sight along with a wind that blew to the north told me this was the challenge I had to face. There on the cliff was Regirock, Regice, Registeel, and Regigigas.

“Alright if you want to fight me then fine! Go Ursaring!” I sent out Ursaring after a few seconds of deliberation. He came out and roared. When his eyes caught the Regi’s he launched towards them.
“NO!” a blue streak knocked Ursaring to the ground. It stopped a few feet away from me. It looked at me in confusion “Why are you attacking allies?” he asked
“They attacked me, I thought they, I thought I had to, allies?” I said
“Yes, allies to me, I am Suicune traveler of the north wind” it roared and I caught a glimpse of something glowing in its throat. As I recognized the attack i dived out of the way as the boulder behind me froze from the Ice beam Suicune had shot. “Why do you resist Drake? Are you too weak to accept fate?” he turned on me and launched attempting to pin me to the ground. I threw my good arm up in an attempt to block him.
BOOM!! A Dynamicpunch nailed Suicune from the side as Ursaring attacked Suicune. He then continued to attack with a fury of claws.
“Hold it Ursaring go for the Regi’s I’ll send something else out for Suicune” I commanded and almost instantly Ursaring flung himself at the Regi’s who were now climbing down the cliff. “Alright go! Luxray!” I sent out the one pokemon I knew a pokemon like Suicune could never stand up to.
Luxray looked towards Suicune. “He is an enemy Luxray don’t hold back” I said. This seemed to send energy rushing to Luxray because with those words he keeled into Suicune with a volt tackle.
“RAAAAAARRRRR!!” I looked over to Ursaring. He was fighting the Regis with all his strength. Strangely the Regis weren’t fighting back. They were just blocking the barrage of attacks.
“Ursaring return!” I returned Ursaring ready to throw him out again if need be. While Luxray was battling Suicune the Regi’s went over to the battle and observed seemingly confused. Regirock tried to separate the two, only to have Suicune blast him with an ice beam. Then Regice joined in trying to subdue Suicune. Together the two Regi’s managed to separate Suicune and Luxray, without attacking them at all.
“UNHAND ME YOU INSOLENT FOOLS!!!” roared Suicune as he ferociously struggled to get at Luxray.
“Luxray return” I returned Luxray and cautiously approached Suicune who was now being held by Registeel as well. “Suicune why are you doing this? I thought you were supposed to help me” I asked
“Yes, accept I would add a word into that sentence, between help and me, I am supposed to help DESTROY you!!”
“Suicune what has gotten into you?” Regigigas asked
“Only the truth my former ally, I have embraced the lord and now serve as his pawn in his plans” Suicune replied
“he is NOT your lord Suicune! We are fighting against him! Do you not remember the reason you exist!?!?”
“HA! You see I had to be created to help stop him the first time! Now I realize all my former allies are weak, and the only thing standing between my lord and his plans is YOU!” Suicune said as he quickly charged and shot an ice beam at me. I barely managed to evade the attack as it landed behind me on a boulder. Suicune glared at me and I caught something reflected in his eye. But it quickly vanished. I then noticed that Suicune’s eyes were different than they should have been.
“Wait! Regigigas Suicune is hypnotized, someone is controlling him!” I said to Regigigas.
“Oh? Well then I’d better take care of that” he said as he rammed his head into Suicune’s. This sent Suicune flying out of the other Regi’s hold. “Um…” he said “perhaps I overdid that a bit”
“Yeah ‘a bit’” I responded
“Ugh…” Suicune muttered as he slowly rose to his feet. “Damn humans and their ‘vehicles’ if they are gonna drive they should watch where they’re GOING!! I swear if it were up to me…”
“Suicune” Regigigas said
“WHAT!?” he shouted
“You are rambling again” was Regigigas’ response.
“Oh, sorry” Suicune apologized “who’s the kid?”
“This is Ace” Regigigas responded
“Hello Ace” Suicune said to me
“Hi Suicune” I responded
“Whoa! He can understand us?” Suicune asked astonished
“Yes Suicune I can” I responded
“oh, sorry I didn’t realize you were the chosen one” Suicune said
“yeah it’s alright.” I said
“Suicune you were hypnotized” Regigigas said changing the subject
“WHAT!?!?” Suicune yelled shocked.
“someone has been hypnotizing you” Regigigas said
“how dare they! When I get my hands on them-”
“it’s probably one of the fake legendaries” I interrupted
