The Newly Upgraded Forums

Welcome to the new forums! There's a ton of new features (some obvious, some not) and I don't have time to list them all now but here's some things to get you started.
1. Unfortunately, not all avatars made the transition so a lot of you will need to re-ad them to your profiles.
2. While you're doing that, you can also add your birthdate to your profile so the forum can announce birthdays.
3. There's a ton of new font colors in the selection menu.
4. You can now attach images directly to posts instead of using imageshack (as long as the file size is reasonable).
5. You can track threads, bookmark them, and the like.
6. You can mark other members as friends (to PM and spot their post easier) or enemies (to help ignore their posts).
7. You can save drafts of posts instead of posting them right away.
8. If you don't like the new look, you can change the board style your user control panel (Board preferences tab) to subsilver, which is much closer to the old look.
9. User's are divided into groups (admins, global mods, regular members, etc). I have the power to create new groups (say for teams in a game or people in a certain RP). Main advantages are easy communication between group members (you can send mass PMs to everyone in a group) and limited mod powers (I can give a group as much or as little power as I want in any given section of the forums).

I like the new forums, except that the avatar being on the right side is bugging me.
Will changing it to subsilver fix that?

I think the forums look much better in subsilver myself. Although, that may just simply be because I'm more used to it.

eek...is it possible to reset the avi size limit back to 120 x 120? My old pic didn't make it cause it's not the new 100 x 100 format.

I can change the avatar limit back to 120. Will do that in a sec.

Remember that you can use the subsilver style if you prefer the old page layout (and you'll still keep all the new features).

Finally, if you see the number of registered users dropping over the next few days, no need to worry. The new admin panel has a mass delete which I'm taking advantage of to get rid of all those spam bot accounts. Only thing is, there's so many that if I try to delete them all at once it crashes the system, so I have to do it in chunks when I have time.

A-anyway. Prosilver or Subsilver, it doesn't really matter to me... Because I'm still the coolest Silver on the Pebble Version Forums.

Um... what was I going to say before I got distracted? Darn. I don't even remember. Nifty forum upgrade, though. The "[ Color]" thing still works, right? Roleplay font colors will be... extremely annoying if we have to use the Magic Color Squares. It's nice to see my smilies have made it to the Magic Smilie Box ! However, I'm slightly disapointed in the change from 'Super Mod' to 'Global Moderator'. I feel... somehow less heroic. T-that doesn't count as a pun! No shot gun!

The old color tags still work fine so no problems there (using the color squares just adds the appropriate tag to your posts).

I would change global mods back to super mods...but I can't change the name of any of the default user groups. Though, and here's another new feature, I have the power to create new groups so there could be groups for PV Survivor teams, ROM members, or stuff like that if people wanted them.

Oh. Well then that's extremely convenient. "What color font is that?" "Third row, second Magic Color Box from the left, of course!"

I was only joking about the title anyway, but usergroups seems like a cool feature to have... my dream of a caste system based on grammar may be one step closer to coming true... I mean, hey! As a Global Moderator, it looks like I can give people official warnings! Even Josiah's posts have a little 'Warn this user' button below them... which is kind of weird.
