ROM: Ask the Cast Version 2

This is an extra for the comic. I got the idea of another webcomic forum.

The old thread was getting a little cultured, and it felt a little outdated, so here is the new ask the cast thread with a few differences.

Here you can ask the cast of ROM the Comic questions and I will answer in character. Unlike before, question for Opal, Josiah, Silver, Simeon, Kevin and other user owned NPCs will be answered by me. This is not to say that the original creators of the characters can’t make comments on the questions there characters are asked, its just that the characters have been asked questions about events in the comic, and some of the answers the original creators have come up with don’t fit with the comics actual construct.

Note: no asking for plot details...

1) Is there any true god(s) in Orca? If its a monster, can it truely be captured?

2) how did Orca get its name? (Don't see any whales around there....)

Yomikko: I’ll take this question. Many of the major religions on Orca believe there are ‘overseer’ that created everything, and a ‘caretaker’ who was created to look after the world why the overseer rested. The caretaker then created ‘physical’ gods to protect the land. The ‘physical gods’ are actually the ultimate monsters and there level goes beyond what a normal monster can attain. It is said that back in the days or War lords and kingdoms there were many wars, so many in fact the ‘overseer’ got angry at her creations, and ordered the caretaker to stop the carnage. The Caretaker created three powerful monsters to support a noble king from the kingdom of Clancy. This king quickly brought peace to the land, and the monster gods slept with monster cards, waiting for the time when they would be needed to bring peace again. The ‘other worldly maiden’ is said to be the avatar of the caretaker, and is here to maintain peace threw less dramatic methods than tyrannical rule. There are other religions in Orca that have there own theories creation and the gods, but the cannon Overseer god has the most believers.

2) how did Orca get its name? (Don't see any whales around there....)

Yomikko: ‘Orca’ is an old Dryad word which means ‘Life’. Other races have there own name for Orca, but ‘Orca’ is the globally excepted one. The actual name comes from a character from the playstation ‘Hack’ games.

I have a question to Rose: are you a good fighter?

Rose: Well, I am not so bad. Like Ivy, I can use poisons and paralysis bards as well as my thorns and hair braid as a weapon. My only weakness really is fire and…well, letting my guard down once too often. ^_^’

Kevin: Its made from some weird combination of Dryad herbs and monster magic. I get it from a chain shop called 'Saiyan Inc'. The products called 'Super Saiyan'. You have to be careful, if you use to much, your hair turns yellow.

Petra: The word 'Petra' means 'Rock' in greek. My mother really like the name for some reason.

Artist Shauni: Petra comes accross a strong willed and rather cold, but this is because she is attempting to be ‘stone’. she refuses to trust anyone for fear of betrayal, and will not ask for or accept help. She sufferes from a very dark past , and as such closed of her heart to protect herself.

Neo: Well what is a gun? In case of arrows, probably not. Not that flexable.

(Name of Neo means new in Latin. Was part of name for my Kingdom in Utopia for over 10 rounds that I played with them and we had to use Neo somewhere in our names. The kingdoms has since broken up but I kept the tadition going in the game and then carried out to my other parts of the internet. And on side note, I've been using Neo (Jan 96) before the movies came out.)

Sorry my answers are so late!

(I'll ask this here since there isn't any real ROM OOC ness....to my knowledge)

When will the people from 'be the mob' comics come up? I am eagered to see how Cassius looks ^^;

They will be at the end of this chapter. It is building up to the scene with the battle, but due to the delays in updates and a few plot points I had to cover first it’s taken longer than I thought. I’d say they will be in the comic before the end of April, may be May at the latest

To Jeff: How can your cat ears move if they're not real and only part of the hat you have?

Jeff: Erm….a wizard did it?

Artist Shauni: Just call it ‘artistic license’. I just think they look cute

And to top this madness off:

Mu-chan: Why aren't you helping at the bloody holy ground? You must be able to do something useful.

Mu-chan: I don’t have any monsters. I’m just a cute and cuddly little critter

Yomikko: A perverted little critter. Not everyone at the Holy ground has a monster.
