ROM 3: Shadows of Souls

Shaunisa get ready to do some damage herself...but suddenly found herself plumiting towards the ground, she look fearfuly around for the cause but found nothing, then she look at her wings...
he left wing was completly stone and she was falling from not only the wait but the loss of it, she quickly whistled to balance who threw under her and caught her

Togther they flew up into the sky and follwed the three attacks to take out one death glider, leaving only two.

She retracted her wings, lucly the stone one also disapered
She sighed for a moment then contuied on Balances back to take the others out

Only virgo and josiah saw why she had begun to fall

"Virgo...whats going on with her?"
"I..I cant tell you..."

"Can't, or won't?"

"I'm sorry, but I promised..."

"Ok, I'll ask her myself after the battle." *Josiah turned his attention to the remaining two Death Gliders.*

"Thanks." *Virgo flew towards one of the Death Gliders.* "Righteous Fury!" *The Death Glider sreeched agrily as it was knocked back.*

*Meanwhile, Josiah circled around behind it in the commotion.* "Ice Celestial, Freezedown!" *The Death Glider was encased in ice and began to fall.* "Now for the finisher! Mythril Dragon, use Invincible Charge!!!" *Josiah hung on tight as Mythril Dragon charged forward and smashed into the frozen Death Glider, shattering the ice and destroying the monster.*

"Nice!" *Virgo swooped down next to him.* "Only one more to go!"

"Ok...now what?" Opal let out Metalicat for company "Meow?" He rubbed against her legs. "SSSSH! Quiet Metalicat....I hear something..." Opal slowly walked forward, poking her head off the side of the hill and gasped. Infront of her was an army. "What the.....hope those are good people..."

"They are the good" A voice said

"MEEP!" Opal jumped up as Metalicat looked confused "Meow?" "DON'T DO THAT!" She screamed. The boy grinned

"Sorry....couldn't resist" He apologised

"It's ok....who are you, and what's with the army?" Opal asked the strange boy

"I am Amhal." Amhal introduced

"Nice to meet you Amhal...I'm Opal..." She held out her hand for a shake, and noticed his strange reaction in his face "Please don't ask about the gloves..." She mumbled, retaking in her hand

"Ok I won't...." He cleared his throat

"So...is this your army?" Opal asked, pointing to the...army

"Yes....I was looking for Bowens lair...do you happen to know where it is?" He asked her, feeling kinda stupid too

"Matter of fact I...wit...do I? I remember being there and talking to Bowen...somewhere around here I guess...." Opal shrug

"That helps.... Amhal mumbled. Metalicat let out another meow

(ps-Todays ROM comic is funny. Fudge crackers! xD)

"There only one left!" he yelled, firing of a holdy Snake Bite from Balance's back. That final attack took it down and she threw a card at it
"I hate these mosnters...but we need all the help we can get..."

She landed on the ground and claimed the card

Everyone retured to the camp site

"We should move on now, he knows where here"
"Guess your rights..."

As everyone began to pack up, Josiah pulled shauni to one side disgreatly

"Um, shauni? Whats going on with you??"

((Amhal was dead but he got revived when the world collapsed like a lot of other character. Take a look at my posts when I was in his castle alone for more details. Oh, and Opal, Amhal isn't old but he's not a kid either. He's probably in his twenties or so.))

"Nothing's going on with me." *Shaunisa hedged.* "I'm fine."

"I know you lying." *Josiah looked her in the eyes.* "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but just I want to help."

"I think you tell him." *Virgo walked over.* "If anyone can help you Josiah can. He can do anything." *She smiled.*

"I think you're giving me a bit too much credit..." *Josiah blushed.* "Um, anyway..." *He turned back to Shaunisa, waiting for a reply.*

*Meanwhile those other Death Gliders were still far away (they're slow flyers).*

Shaunisa began to twidle her thumbs, looking down, until her head winched up, a painful expression on her face.

She pulled her hand towards her, it was in an auqaured postion, she began to rub, then shake it, unti, Josiah hured a cracking sound and she was able to move it, stone fragments fell to the floor

Josiah wathced as they fell down to the ground, then his head quickly looked back up again
"What the hell??"
Shaunisa's face was beat root red
"I didnt want you to see that...."
"What is happening?"

Shauni pulled of her glove, and showed her now fully stone hand to him
"Its a long stroy...but to cut it short, since I merged my body has been pertrufying, im turning into stone because of a bite of Bownes data that was activated by the angelic form...if i dont get the gaunlete inside Bowens base...I am gunna turn into a living statue...like him"
Josiah was silent
"The gaunlete stablises dat, it will stop this...its why Bowen has it, when he finaly gets a body he will need it to not turn back into stone, Emeils gaunlete was his weapon, the other his shield if you want to think about it like that.."

Josiah was still silent
Shauni looked away "At the rate i'm going...i only have a few days..but its speeding up..."

((Speaking of Bowen getting a body, at some point I'd like to have a monster battle with his human form since he's supposed to be the ultimate trainer and all. I was thinking I could beat him then he'd go to monster form for the final boss battle, if that's ok with everyone else. If not we can just do something else.))

((Go ahead and start Neo, pokchu hasn't posted in ROM in ages. Maybe he's mad cause Opal turned down his Mustadio plan.))

"Wow... That's not good..." *Josiah frowned, doing some quick thinking.* "But if we fly all the way to Bowen's fortress we should be able to get the gauntlet in time... Don't worry, you'll be fine."

"See," *Virgo smiled at Shaunisa,* "I told you he'd help."

"Silver, David, Jeff! Get the others, we're leaving now!"

"But what about all those Death Gliders in the distance?"

"We'll outrun them. We don't have anymore time to waste on battles! Let's get moving!"

*As the others scrambled to get their things and divy up their flying monsters Shaunisa stood next to Josiah.* "Thanks."

"No problem. But you really should tell Jeff. He cares about you a lot."

"I know but..."

"I won't force you, just think about it." *Josiah looked around.* "Ok, we're going! Shaunisa, lead the way!" *He and Virgo jumped on Midnight Wing and lifted off into the air.*

((Ok, it's supposed to take us about two days of flying to reach Bowen's lair and, when we get close, we should run into Amhal's army and reunite with Opal. Sound good? Speaking of that, has my character ever actually met Opal?))

((Bowens body is not an issue, I already know what I'm going to do, it will be a suprise but wont make anyone do anything they dont want ^^, its what I intended even before Josiah wanted to make Bowen a enemy.
Dont worry about Shauni either, she will last long enough until we get there))
Shaunisa yelled back to the others

"Its in a sealed area above Clirg. it was originally intended for a huge complex to rise out of the earth after the game ending before it was scrapped. Emiels gauntlet will allow us access from the surface"

"We have to go all the way back to Vahello? even if we dont stop that will take 2 to 3 days???"
"Then we dont stop...we have to hurry!"
"but...way?"
"We just do!"

Jeff, who was also riding Balance but his hand on Shauni's shoulder, making her flinch
"I know your not telling me something...what is it?"

Shauni closed her eyes

*instert explination here*

Jeff closed his eyes and held her.
She felt his hand was shaking as it held her.
Jeff was silent in though.
Two emotions caused it; the overwhelming fear he felt as he thought of his beloved
Shauni's situation, and the intense, fiery rage he felt swelling within himself as he realised he could do nothing to help.
This was not an enemy he could protect her from.
It was a battle she would have to fight alone.
"Be here for me...its all I need...I'll be fine"

He smiled at her "You are to Nobel for the world"
"Its you that make me care Jeff...only you"
The kissed softly as balance continued on as fast as it could

((I've been busy, and there hasn't been any key reason to post anyway. Alright, here we go...))

"This is it...the ultamite plan for dominance." He was at the bottom of Bowen's lair. "A time bomb...infused with a quarter of my energy...I'm betting alot on the success of this, so it better work...

"What are you doing?" A sweet voice said.

"HUH?!" He spun around, but saw no one.

"If you destroy this place, at the expense of Bowen's death, Opal and Neo will die, along with it."

"And why should I care? You're nothing more than a pawn."

"That's not true."

"WHAT?"

"The energy you put in that bomb...it was enough...to bring me to my senses. You're so drained, I can think for myself again."

"Too bad, I still control this body!!!" He shouted.

"Not anymore". Hellion's body began to glow.

"GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" It glowed white, and when it was done, it had formed, 'The messenger of good and evil'.

"I...have control again. But yet, I still must break free of this spirit..."

"NO!"

"Sorry, but I'm in control. Your power will come in handy anyway. Now...To destroy Bowen...for good." He sprinted upstairs. But little did he realize, the bomb had been set, right before the transformation.

The fortress would self-destruct in 1 hour.

((Uh Shauni, the entrance to Bowen's Lair would have to be by Clirg (a town we visited in ROM 1 when we fought the fake Earth Chosen) since that's where Amhal took his army, so you'll have to edit your post.))

((Sorry pokchu, you're not going to be blowing up Bowen, he's still the final boss. Reverse plot twist time!))

"Hold it right there!" *Bowen blocked Hellion's path.* "How foolish do you think I am? I knew from the moment you came to my fortress that you couldn't be trusted."

"I haven't done anything!" *Hellion growled defiantly.*

"You think I don't know about that pitiful time bomb of yours? Heh, my minions disabled it the moment you left the room. Now, the only question that remains is how to dispose of such an untrustworthy guest. I think it's time that I give you a small taste of my true power."

((Sorry pokchu. Feel free to escape somehow but like we've said before, you can't kill Bowen.))
