"Are you ok?" Lyn asked Israfel in a concerned tone.

====meanwhile====

"Nee-chan's gone now..." Akari thought to herself, "But who's the other one that came...?" she said to herself, walking down the hallway towards Trik's office.

"Are you okay?", Lyn asked Israfel in a concerned tone.

Israfel lifted his hands and touched his fingertips to his temples, gently rubbing circles into them. It still didn't calm the headache. He sighed again, lowering his arms to his sides. Then he looked up at Lyn and nodded. "Yes, I suppose I'll be all right...", he replied, though his tone betrayed that he was uncertain.

~~~~~
Ragnarok blinked at Dirge. "... And, who are you again?"
Dirge straightened himself, though he turned his gaze to the side so that he was not looking at Ragnarok. "Dirge...", he replied quietly. It came as no suprise to him that Ragnarok couldn't recall his name. Dirge didn't normally wander into the company of others of his own free will.
It was at that moment that Rem appeared, strolling down the hall towards them. A smirk adorned his lips and his sharp fangs had revealed themselves. His emerald eyes were gleaming, the pupils of which were slitted, animalistic. After all, he was their resident feral child. He reached them and got down on his knees beside Dirge. Since the knees of his jeans no longer existed, the cold metal floor stung against his bare skin. It was not a respectful bow to Ragnarok. Instead, he began nuzzling his head against Dirge's leg. Soft purring reached their ears. Emerald orbs then turned to look at both of them in turn. "It's so unusual to see the two of you in the same vicinity. Was it just coincedence?", he purred, nuzzling Dirge's leg again.
Dirge acknowledged Rem by slowly raising his hand to pet the child's dark hair. He was glad that Rem had shown himself, since he was one of the few people that Dirge felt calm and comfortable around. "Yes... That's all it was, Rem.", he responded quietly.
Rem purred as his head was caressed. "I thought so...", he said, suddenly getting to his feet. His bare knees were slightly red from having knelt on the metal floor for the space of moments. He merely ignored them, finally deciding to acknowledge Ragnarok, who was, for the time being, his master. "What was all the commotion earlier? I could've sworn that I heard Mei training with a new girl...", he commented, examining his sharp nails for any flaws.
(Question. If Spirn doesnt remember anything, then how does she remember Trik?)
"Damn it... I just want to be alone right now..." he said, turnign his chair back around, staring out at the window.
"F-Feral?! What in the- How did you- What's with the Wheelchair?!"
"Hmph. This was a gift from that lion friend of yours and my dear 'Son'..."
"Well that doesn't answer my other questions!"
"I'm afraid you didn't finish any of those other questions. I see you've been spending way too much time with that Silver boy; he's rubbing off on you, Archer."
"Ok, cut it with the 'Archer' crap. That was YOUR little nickname, and I'm not using it any more. Now how did you know where to find this base is? And why are you still alive? I though for sure someone would've killed you by now. You don't exactly have many friends, last I checked."
The little girl from before tapped his shoulder, "Mr. Archer, sir?"
"I thought you didn't use that name anymore?"
Archer shot an angry glare at Feral, then turned to the little girl behind him. "...What is it?"
"The elementals are beginning to get curious as to why they haven't seen Silver, who was supposed to be in charge. I've told them that he's in a meeting, but it's only so long before they figure out he's a goofball with little to no planning ability. What should be my next course of action? And do you happen to have the truth about our leader's whereabouts?"
"...Silver got a tip that we might be under attack, so he went to look for the attackers and a possible new hideout if it came to that... but I get the feeling I've already found our opponent."
"Making rash assumptions, are we? How do you know I'm not just here for idle chit-chat with an old friend?"
"Quit messing with me, old man... what do you really want here?"
------------------------------
Silver was, of course, off scouting the surrounding area for any signs of an attacking army or a new place to hide. He didn't find anything suspicious, though that may have been due to his short attention span. "Ooh, a cliff... that could be useful. I've always wanted to fake my own death by 'falling' off a cliff. But I wonder why there's a random cliff here at the edge of the forest, complete with water and sharp pointy rocks below?"
-----------------------------
Meanwhile, Mori was searching a nearby area for the attacking army they may need to hide from. "No sign of an army, but there is that nice cave there. Kind of a weird forest, isn't it? Not every day you see random caves sticking up in the middle of nowhere. Might make a nice base, though, assuming Silver won't find anything better..."
Yes, that's right, they both talk to themselves. Maybe that's why they got along so well.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.
The man brought his hands together and leant forward slowly.
"I'm done. This world isnt meant to be mine. Look at me, I'm probably disabled for the rest of my life, and I can't contact my spirits anymore. That's right, I'm normal."
He leant back in his chair, looking straight into Archer's eyes.
"So the question presented before you now is this. Will you accept an old scientist? Besides..." He reached down to his side, picking up a folder, holding it up. "Trik would be mad if he didn't get to see this." He slipped it back into its holster, locking it.
"After all the trouble you've caused, you expect me to let you in here and think nothing of it? You think you can get off scot-free?"
"If you don't mind me saying, sir, he's in a wheel chair. That's hardly 'scot-free'."
"...You raise a good point, but he still... I was..."
"Sir, it doesn't strike me as wise to let personal grudges stand in your way. He doesn't have his powers anymore, he has something for Mr. Trik, and he's admitted his defeat. I think it would be in our best interest to accept him."
"Ha ha! You just got schooled by a little girl!"
"Silver?! How long have you been here?!"
"Oh, I just got here now," he pointed to the Silver-shaped inprint in a nearby tree, indicating he had used his HighSpeed ability and crashed yet again. "Didn't find anything interesting so I came back to wait for Mori's report. Oh! There was this neat cliff, though. I hadn't noticed that before. We can have some fun with that."
"...Now seriously, Silver, you remember everything Feral's done. Is it really ok to just let him in here?"
"We 'just let you in here', didn't we?" Silver said with a grin. His friend fell silent. "Sorry, Rich, this is my fault - I forget to tell you about one important aspect of humor. It's called 'Gullibility to the point of idiocy'."
(Uh, she was told about Trik by Mei.... ya...)
"Ok, I'll come back tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, until IO get throught to you." she said, turning to leave, "But keep in mind, your brothers going to move soon, and when he does, you don't stand a chance..." She teleported away from his office.
(So that leaves just Louanne in his office then? Wow.)
Trik closed his eyes, placing his head on his desk.
"He's right... There isnt any way we can win..."
Ragnarok just lifted a brow at the weird one, and shook his head, walking away, practically having not caught what Dirge said.
And yes. He didnt answer Rem's question on purpose.
Louanne blinked at the spot where Maya had vanished, then glanced at Trik, sighed, and tentatively asked, "Can I help you with anything? I've been getting this impression you're a tightly coiled spring, and you just keep getting tighter. Maybe it'd be better to unwind."
He sat up, leant back in his chair, looked up and closed his eyes, letting out a sigh.
"I can't handle the stress Louanne... Besides, I dont even know if we can beat him... He's stronger than all of us..."
Dirge breathed a small sigh of relief as Ragnarok walked away, leaving Rem and himself alone in the silence. He then recalled the one thing that ticked the smaller boy off and was half-heartedly anticipating a shattering yell. When it didn't come immediately, he glanced over at Rem with a questioning look.
Rem absolutely hated to be ignored by anyone. He was now quietly seething in anger with his hands clenched so tightly that his claws had drawn blood and it was now steadily dripping onto the floor. His fangs gleamed and appeared even sharper than they had before. Unfortunately, since he was so mad, his Emotion class power of AngerFire came into effect. A spiral of fire errupted around his small frame, threatening all in the immediate area... namely, Dirge.
He immediately jumped back as the fire came into existence. Just great... How the hell was he supposed to calm the kid down now? "Rem... Just let it go. He doesn't understand the way you work. Don't waste your power on him.", he said calmly.
The fire seemed to slowly fade away into nothing. Rem closed his eyes, finally unclenching his hands and giving his bleeding palms a small reprieve. He sighed softly and the anger seemed to flow out of his body. "Yes, you're right.", he agreed, opening his eyes and turning his gaze to Dirge. "Sorry about the sudden fire. It was involuntary."
Personally, Louanne wasn't feeling all that confident either. But that wasn't going to help Trik relax at all. "Well, that's why we've been training ever since Simeon died, isn't it? We've all gotten better, and there's more of us. How much stronger can Ragnarok get, anyway? There must be a limit, and he'll reach it sometime. Meanwhile, the rest of us still have time for improvement."
He didn't move. "You want to to know whats really the problem?" He slammed his fist into the desk.
"I'mn ot a leader! Why did Simeon leave me in charge? I'm not fit to lead an army... I mean come on, I left Silver in charge of a squad. What was I thinking!?" He was almost screaming at this point. At this, he quieted down, and removed his hand, turning around and looking at the window, to the outside world.
"Louanne... I need help..." He placed a hand on the window.
Louanne didn't say anything for a moment. "...I guess...I could help you out, if you'll have me," she eventually suggested. "I'm not exactly leader material either, but at least you won't be put under as much stress."
