((HAHA! I have been released from an addictive game!! I can now focus on others! 8D))

((*reads Shauni's 'I-need-a-break-post* ... *falls over*))

((Ah, well... I'll end this quick.))

Simeon held his spear in defense as Nahri, the demon-child, continued to warp the realm around them.

"Don't think I don't sense your own Inner-Shadow, Guardian Father." the little Shadow of Souls spoke as she commanded a boulder to fly at Simeon.

"My 'Shadow' should be none of your concern, impostor." Simeon growled, accurately striking the huge stone projectile with the pinpoint of his spear. The boulder shattered like glass. "You're not much of a threat when even you don't know the extent of your power..."

Nahri shrieked like a banshee. "I am deity, foolish beastman." she snapped, rising into the air, "You have as much a chance of qwelling my power as much as you ca--" She was interrupted by a powerful blast of light tinged with sparkling colors striking her from behind.

"You are still a little child, Shadow." AeroBreaker the Dragon growled from above. He then addressed Simeon, "Seems I came just in time, old friend."

Simeon winced as he saw the Shadow of Souls hit the blackened ground. "Aye. That you did."

Nahri struggled to get up, hissing like snake with its tail pinned under a rock as Simeon drew an object out of his cloak.

"Where is Mahri, fiend?" the Guardian Father demanded.

"Where I can find her when I'm done with you!" she snapped as she lifted her hands to summon storm clouds to the already bleak arena she had created.

Nahri failed to notice that the object that Simeon had drawn out of his robes moments before had been thown at her...

It was a blank card.

With a shriek, Nahri was drawn into the card and sealed away, instantly turning the bleak, shadowy battlefield back into a lush, green, and foreboding forest once more.

Simeon picked up the card. "Child's play..." he sighed with a sad shake of his head, "That menace is over with for now. Until these cards have been purified, they will need to be carefully guarded. Especially his one--" Simeon tucked the card into his own deck for safety, "She may be a Shadow of Souls, but she is still very dangerous considering who she is a copy of. I pray that this card will not fall into the wrong hands..."

((Okay... once that Dark Shrine is neutralized and Mahri is safe, this whole fiaso will be over and we can focus on the Sins.))

((Augh... 3 AM... Sleepy... TT;;))

Shauni looked around and saw the danger was over. She smiled and suddenly turned into a fine blask mist, and disappeared into the darkness of the forest.

In her place, the Mirage card had taken her form, and with a powerful spell from Amber and Kohaku she had Shauni's smell and Aura. No one say the most spiritual would see she was a fake.

The Mirage silently followed the group, as they made there way towards purifying the poisoned wood

"Let's head inside then." *Josiah led the way.* "This shouldn't take long then we can head back to the village and plan our next move. Neo and Tsukasa are probably there already."

((Ok, I'm gonna jump things ahead to hopefully get this moving again.))

*The group found Mahri asleep inside the shrine. Fortunately, she appeared to be unharmed. With the guardians already defeated, destroying the dark core and purifying the shrine proved and easy task. The group found Neo and Tsukasa waiting for them at D-Edge. Although Josiah and Virgo had already told the others about the engagement, some of the group was still shocked by the sudden turn of events.*

"So, it looks like we're going to be staying here for a while. But if you guys ever need me just let me know and I come as quickly as I can."

"Don't worry, we'll be fine. Good luck you two and thanks for all your help."

"We're not leaving now are we? Can't we at least get some food first?"

*Josiah glanced at his watch.* "No point in leaving tonight. We'll go back to the inn and get an early start tomorrow."

"An early start to where? We got rid of Zanther but who are we going to go after next?"

"For now I think we should focus on the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins. It'll probably mean a lot of traveling to track them all down but by the time we're done we should have a good idea of the situation on this continent."

"Sounds good to me." *David replied as Jeff and Opal nodded.*

*Josiah glanced at Shauni but she remained silent and unreadable.* "So... Go do whatever I guess. We'll leave at first light and head towards the next town or city. I'll try and buy a map tonight so we can figure out a route."

"Hey Josiah, wait a sec." *Josiah turned to see Neo holding out a spell card.* "Zanther dropped this when we defeated him. I don't need it but I figured you might have a use for it."

"Thanks." *Josiah began to grin as he read the card.* "I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this one..."

((New spell card. False Defeat: The monster this card is used upon appears to be severly injured and unable to continue fighting (but does not return to its card). However, this is only an illusion that can be dispelled at any time by the monster's trainer.))

((I assume Simeon is coming with us but I'd like a post confirming things one way or the other.))

(Preforms CPR)

Shauni flew as fast as the wind would allow. She had no monsters as she had left them with her copy. Her raven wings glistened in the cool night air.

She landed suddenly on top of a tree and glanced at the vally that she had come appon

"the homestead of The Deadly Sins"

She looked down and in the vally was a large complex of fortified buildings and a central hub that looked like a tutle shell. It was covered in canons and soilders

"You have been here?"
"Once before. I appered her one night in a dream. Vanderbolt spoke to me and told me that she could give me a physical body in the real world, that I could leave this world and become real...for a moment...I considered her offer...my own Envy welled within me...I envy the others....they where born, had parents....lived a real life...I was...a mistake that took a form...Vanderbolt tricked me and at that moment....she was able to place Envy within my heart..."

"I see...but why would she do that?"

"I went crazy for a while...and I found you guys in a pocket doman...Vanderbolt had hoped I would use my hellfire powers to unseal Moen...but you brough me back to my sences by freeing me from Envy...I may still be under anothers control...but I know about it now...a good dose of another chaos has shaken the balance."

"So why are we here?"

"Well..."

Shauni was interupted as she saw a figure flying out of the fortess on the wings of a black dragon

"Dear godess...that one...I can sence its extreme ander...that one...it must be Wrath!"

The figure, an african american with gray hair and blood red cloths headed towards Dark Edge with the Demon Dragon 'China Demand'. The dragon was a classic China dragon with black scales and eight legs that where covered in bright red fur. its head held large teeth and two eyes that shone red.

*The gamers woke early the following morning and, after saying their goodbyes to Neo and Tsukasa, headed to the edge of town, ready to set out on the next phase of their journey which would lead them north to the city of Teslian. Rounding the last of the houses, the found Simeon waiting for them.*

"I've been waiting for you." *The guardian spoke as they approached.* "We have something to discuss before you take your leave of this place. But that conversation must wait. I sense a dark prescence approaching. You'd best prepare for battle."

"He's right..." *Virgo stared off into the distance.* "Something is coming an it's almost here."

*An ear splitting roar rent the still morning as a shape, long and dark, appeared in the the sky. The serpentine dragon rapidly drew closer until the gamers could see the young man standing on its back.*

"Is he one of the Sins?"

"I think so, his aura is similiar to Ivy's."

"Why do we even both looking for these guys? We should just find a nice spot and wait around for them to come to us." *Silver commented.* "They must really like losing."

"Get ready." *Josiah reached for his cards.* "It doesn't look like this one is in the mood to talk."

((Silver, Opal, although your characters don't have some major story arc of their own going on feel free to post and influence the main story all you want. It's not as much fun if Shauni and I are the only ones driving things along.))

((Josiah's right! Don't let ROM die for the end!))

Haku stood aloof before the gamers atop his dragon. His hatred was welling within him and it seemed to seep out as a black mist around him.

"You can actually see his anger..." commented Virgo as a sting of fear welled up within her.

Ivy, who the group still had tied up with the intention of using her as a guide later on to find the sins walked forward, almost pulling David over in surprise, as he was holding the other end of the rope

"Well hello Haku. I'd wondered how long it would be before Vanderbolt sent another sin."

Haku glanced at ivy
"So, your not dead. We'd assumed you where. Your connection with Vanderbolt was cut"

Ivy turned away in disgust
"I'm no longer her slave"Haku did not respond straight away
"What do I care. I'm just here to kill them all"

With that he jumped of the dragon and lunged straight into the group below him, his bladed staff ready to slice who he first met. he's fighting style was erratic, and indiscriminate. He had no target. everyone would die

The dragon on the other hand, had picked out Virgo as it first victim, and it came down with a unnatural speed towards her, its teeth beckoning her into his mouth.

Simeon leaped in retaliation and met Haku in mid-air, landing a piercing blow with the Arch-Angel.

~Yesterday~

As the group walked back to D-Edge after completing their mission, Simeon fell to the back of the group until he was walking astride Mirage disguised as Shauni.

"Mirage..." Simeon whispered, shiftin the sleeping Mahri's position around in his arms, "Do not think I am fooled. I do not doubt your lady realizes that I have sensed that she is not walking with us. Tread carefully."

Mirage just nodded silently and picked up her pace. The real Shauni had expected at least one to notice...

Simeon timed his landing right, shifting his metal arm into it's cannon mode and firing off a powerful plasma blast that flashed brightly, shocking the attacking dragon's eyesight and damaging it enough to divert it's course.

"Are you alright, Lady Virgo?" Simeon asked, holding his guard in case the Dragon decided to make a second run. There wasn't time for a confirmation...

"LOOK OUT!"

"RRRRAAARGH!! DIIIEEEE!!"

Haku made his attack from above...

The dragon flew up into the air and came about for another strike, half blinded by simeon cannon, it flew randomly towards the mass of people it could make out below it.

Haku's slash stuck towards Virgo and Simeon. Simeon countered the slash with his canon arm and sparks where generated.

haku jumped back and glared at the lion morph

"You must be Simeon. It is a dubious please to meet you. I will enjoy using your pelt as a new saddle for my dragon!"

With that, he lunged forward again, this time jumping upwards with the intent of using gravity and his weight to impale Virgo and simeon on the blunt end of his staff.

*Virgo spun aside and swung her spear like a staff, sending Haku flying across the clearing.*

"You..." *He struggled back to his feet, gasping for breath.*

"I'm a zodiac legend, created by Moen and trained by the greatest fighter Orca has ever seen. You'd be wise not to underestimate me." *Although she had initially been caught off guard, Virgo was now back in her element. Without preamble she raised her hands.* "Heavenly Spear!"

*Meanwhile.*

"Come on, we need to take out this dragon so we can help Simeon and Virgo!" *Josiah ran forward to meet the approaching dragon.* "Rayzion, merge with me and form...Perfect Light!" *Josiah transformed and took to the sky.* "Shine!" *The bright flash of light blinded the dragon completely, causing it to shriek with rage.* "Now, Wrath of God!!!"

Opal ran behind Josiah.
"Maybe, if I...." She took out Lopa's card. "Since SoS's could merge, but since she got purified....I won't turn bad...I summon you Lopa!" The white cat emerged.

"You sure you want to try that Opal?" Silver asked, concerned.

"Yes." She nodded. "Lopa, merge with me." She ordered as the two and became a cat anthro type with white wings.
"....Holy Crap...." She said, staring at her new form.

"Opal, battle?" Silver reminded her.

"Oh yeah, whoops." She sighed, flying upwards to where Josiah/Perfect Light was.

(Guess one attack she would know would be Silvern Wing; Feathers from her turns metal and attack the enemy. Metal attack obivously)

"What the heck?!? *Perfect Light glanced behind him just in time to see Opal transform.* "How did... Oh wait, she has her Shadow of Soul in a card, she must have merged with it. Interesting..." *Distracted by Opal, he nearly lost an arm to the dragon's Bitter Bite attack.* "Yikes, gotta pay more attention..." *He grabbed a spell card.* "Supreme Haste! Let's see you try and hit me now!"

Opal, now going by the name of Maximum, flew to another side of the dragon.
"Silvern Wing!" She yelled, stretching out her wings, and hundred of metallic feathers bruised Haku's body.
"Not enough power..." She looked at her cards. "Steel Strengthen!" *Maxiumum's power went up* "Now....mecha overdrive!"

*While Josiah and Opal sparred with the dragon, and wondered if Silver was ever going to bother helping, Virgo watched as a battered Haku staggered to his feet.*

"You'll pay for that." *His eyes flashed dangerous as he faced off against Virgo and Simeon, ignoring his injuries.*

"Leave this to me." *Virgo stepped infront of Simeon.* "In his current form, fighting him two on one would be too easy."

"What did you say?!?" *Haku lunged viciously.*

*Virgo parried the strike with her spear and threw him to the ground.* "Your anger may be your power but against an experienced opponent, it's no more than a liability." *She knocked him back with a Heavenly Spear attack then followed with Mecha Overdrive before he could regain his balance.* "There's no way you can defeat me."
