BUMPED BECAUSE OF THE RELEASED OF IT IN LESS OF A WEEK

Ok - who's gonna get it this sunday and what version are you getting? (I might get pearl 'cause diamond is very popular)

And we should have a Pebble Version wiFi thing!

I've got Diamond preordered. Unfortunately, I might not have much time to play it till tuesday or so since I have moving stuff to work on sunday and monday.

I think I'm gonna get the water starter but I like the grass one a lot too... Anyway, we should all post our friend codes in this thread once we get the game so we can all trade, battle, etc.

Preordered Diamond because I always get the more Blue-ish version first. Getting it the day it comes out.

And I'm using the Water Starter (Please don't make me say 'Piplup'... eurgh...) first. Because that's what I always do.

I hope to get Pearl eventually, because that's what I always do, but right now... the economy in Silverland is suffering from I-wanna-buy-all-the-FMA-manga disease.

I think I'm going to start with Pearl first with the fire starter. It seems like most of my games, the first one always has fire. Red, Saphire, LeafGreen all had fire starters. I did start with grass in Silver but 3/4 of them fire, might as well go fire again :)

I started with grass in Red, Gold, and Fire Red but I had the fire starter in Ruby. I typically pick whichever one I think looks the coolest.

Friend codes are long numbers that you use to link up to other people online in DS games.

I'm gonna start off with Turtwig 'cause I think it'll be the best against all the gym leaders (espicially at the last gym)

Well, this will work out pretty well. We be able to breed all the different starters and trade them. Gotta complete the new pokédex and all that.

I'll be getting Pearl and I'll have Hikozaru as a starter ^_^ I always have the fire one, I still don't know why but I always have the fire starter. And usually a team of 5 fire types and one other, usually water, although sometimes I don't and just go with whatever... hmmmm, random typing, must be the fact that I have absolutly no idea when its being released here!!!

I'll probaby get Diamond first, cause I always like the blue one. As for my starter, I'll go with the fire one. Fire types rule!

Got my copy of Diamond. Too bad I probably won't have time to play it today, or tomorrow. After that I'll hae some time though.

And once again I'm totally disapointed with the launch strategy guides (both the Nintendo and Prima ones). At least they include a partial pokédex this time which lists where to catch most of the pokémon (note most). But said pokédexs don't even have move lists. I ended up getting the Prima one just so I'd have a handy reference of what I can catch where. And it came with an ad for their complete pokédex book. First off, that should have been included in the main guide. Secondly, at very least they could have released it at launch. Instead it comes out the end of May... I miss Versus Books, they knew how to make good Pokémon guides...

Got my copy of Pearl. I ended up with a Turtwig and I got myself a male Starly so far. Than my DS ran low on batteries....and my charger is at a different house XD So I won't be able to play it again till 10 tonight after work...I'm not gonna have a lot of sleep this week ^^;
