"Well yes he's Simeon. The others from D-Edge say that he's the new blacksmith in the town but I've never met him when I stayed at D-Edge. He must have moved in before I came to the village. I have heard tales of a ghostly "Guardian Father" from the locals while I trained there, though... So how did you aquire your name?"

Shauni did not looked at Neo, but her voice was direct towards him
"I didn't ask you. I asked him"
Her voice was colder than normal. It felt odd to her, but she left bitter at the sight of Neo for a reason beyond her. Her thoughts where more preoccupied with the lion morph right now though.
"Answer me! Why have you been watching me!? What do you want?!"
Her grip grew tighter, but she suddenly realised she was hurt him and quickly pulled her arm away. All anger evaporating and replaced with shame
"I'm...i'm sorry...all you've done is try to help me and I'm acting like a jackass..."
She bowed her head
"I'm sorry"

*Josiah and the others watched the exchange curiously. Although he found Simeon easier to trust than Ivy, Josiah was still cautious and wanted to hear what Simeon would say.* "I think those are some fair questions. I'd like to know more about you before taking you up on your offer."

((Technically, Simeon and Neo never met, methinks. Simeon never appeared in either Cap-Cannon or Orca until both the Light and Dark Data Worlds merged after ROM 3. Simeon spent about 6 years in the Dark Data World with the Archangel as his only source of communication to the Light Data World. By the time Simeon manafested himself in this world, Neo was long gone and living out his life as a legend... How Neo learned of Simeon is a mystery to me, but I am sure Neo may have heard of the rumors of a ghostly guardian father caring for orphans in the woods...))

Simeon nodded. "I understand your angst, Daughter of Hellfire, Shauni. I will answer your questions..."

"Who was I? I was human, just like the rest of you."

"Was?"

"About eight years ago, I was living a life with no regrets, doing what I loved to do: Working as a Tester for video game companies. But I was killed under mysterious circumstance... electrocuted by my own computer."

"I believe it was the new equipment I was testing that somehow transferred my mind into this world... Over time, I began discovering my latent skills in manipulating the data of this world, and I became this... monster."

"In the process of my training, I have slowly begun to forget my true name... I am as much a part of this world as you are now."

"As for why I've been watching you..." Simeon pulled out his sacred edge, the Archangel, "I have been watching all of you since you came to this world. I know what is to come for you, and I listen..."

"Shauni. I have watched over you the most for you are the one that has given me the most concern in the past two years... I want nothing more than your safety and well-being, daughter. Virus, or not."

"And that is why we must not tarry... " the lion-morph sheathed his weapon and began to walk, "I have seen ghastly things come about on these plains. Night is not exactly a gentle time to be outside of D-Edge."

"Oh... and by the way..." Simeon paused in mid step, "The villagers have not seen what I look like under this cloak, Holy Warriors. I would advise you that you do not say a word about what I have become... Only the children know what I look like, and they are expecting me back in Havenwoode very soon..."

"Ok, let's get moving then." *Josiah decided that following Simeon seemed like the best course of action for now. As they began to walk, he dropped back next to Silver.*

"What the fudge crackers is going on around here? All this stuff doesn't make much sense."

"I know how you feel. But I think I've got a handle on some of it. Anyway, since Jeff and David are already guarding Ivy, I'd like you to keep an eye on Neo incase he turns evil again. I know I can trust you, and you're strong enough to defeat him if anything happens. Just don't make what you're doing too obvious, ok?"

"Right! You can count on me!" *Silver ran off to gawk at Neo.*

"Hey Virgo!" *Josiah called to his constant companion, who was currently walking with Shauni.* "How about walking with me for a bit?"

"Like really you need to ask?" *She was at his side in an instant.* "What's up?"

"Nothing... Everything... You probably know as much as I do at this point."

"Want to talk about it?"

"Maybe later... Right now I just need to clear my head. Being with you helps."

*She reached out and took his hand.* "Let's just walk together then."

It was nightfall by the time the group reached D-Edge.

"I'm sure Master Neo and Miss Tsu would prefer to head home for the night..." Simeon commented. Hearing no answer, the cloaked lion-morph led the group to an inn.

"Oh! Simeon!" the innkeeper excitedly peeked up from behind the counter. He looked like a small monster, something akin to a small blue cow with funky spots that looked like big eyes. "Don't you think it's a little too late to be bringing customers to your smithy?" the critter joked.

Simeon chuckled, "Good evening to you, too, Ku-chan."

Ku-chan strained to look over Simeon's shoulder, "What's this motley bunch you brought here tonight, mate?"

"My guests, friend." Simeon replied calmly, "They'll be spending the night here... and I'll pay their tab for as long as they linger in town."

The innkeep then took a good long look at Ivy. "What about her?"

Simeon glanced back at Ivy then leaned on the counter to bend closer to the innkeeper. "The Dryad?"

Ku-chan nodded.

Simeon slid the innkeeper a big gold coin. "Treat her with the same respect you would give a queen and she will give you no trouble, Ku-chan."

"But..."

Simeon slid another huge coin over to Ku-chan. "If she is the cause of any damage to your inn, I'll pay for any repairs. This..." he slid one more coin over to Ku-chan, "Should pay for the same treatment for the other guests, friend. They need to recouperate for what they have endured just getting here."

Ku-Chan sighed, "Your kindness might be the end of you, Simeon-san..." and he put the coins into the register. "I'll take good care of the guests, friend... oh!" Ku-chan dove under his counter and pulled out a large box, "This is for the children."

Simeon looked inside the box, "Ah! Mu-Chan's toys and clothes... Lezo will fit in these nicely..."

"How's Mahri, Simeon?"

Simeon sighed. "I wish I can tell you, Ku-chan, my friend... I'll tell you everything in the morrow." Simeon forlornly picked up the box and began to walk out the door.

"Alright then, friend." Ku-chan seemed concerned. Then he handed keys to the group of travellers. "Simeon feels you must be important for him to have me treat you like royalty..." the critter commented, slightly wary of the Dryad among them, "But you are guests here... and I will treat you like family."

He then addressed the girls, "And ladies, I would suggest making yourselves scarce when my son is awake..."

"Why?" Shauni asked naively.

"I'll be blunt with you." Ku-chan hung his head. "Mu-chan is a pervert."

Simeon walked until he was far out of the sight of anyone before he sprouted wings and took to the sky.

"... that fiend..." he whispered into the slient night, "How could he encroach upon that sacred place!? The children were more than safe there... Oh Mahri! I will come for you. My destiny has arrived..."

(i'm glad you introduced mu-chan and ku-chan, I was going to do so as its an important plot point)

Shauni sat next to Ivy at the bar and began to sip on a glass of water
"So....she attacked your village then, the other one?"
Ivy noded "The harpy burned it down with fires from her wings"
"i'm sorry"
Ivy smiled "It's okay...I know know your not so much the blame"
She turned to Shauni
"I must ask though...when did Vanderbilt do that to you?"

Shauni sighed "Its better not to ask...I ment Vanderbilt almost a year ago..."
"Which one was it?"
"Envy."
Ivy noded "So, your envy then...I had no idea what happned to the missing sin"

Shauni stood up and walked way
"Sometimes it still gets out...but I keep it at bay"
With that she walk away
"Goodnight Ivy"
"Don't worry...if I can be freed...so can you"

Ku-chan retunred to the bar
"I dont trust you"
"Not many do"
Ivy stood up and glanced at David and Jeff who had been watching her
"I wish to go to bed"

Neo and the group arrived at D-Edge by nightfall. Neo and Tsuekasa bid the group farewell and headed off twords Treveld's house.

"Grandpa I'm home! And look who I brought with me!" shouted Tsuekasa.

"Welcome back Tsuekasa and from the sounds of it you brought Master Neo with you. Welcome back Neo."

"Well, it feels good to be back. I wish I could say the town looked the same as I left it but I saw the damage that Tsuekasa had told me about. Seems worse then I had thought at first."

"Yes that attack on us was most unforuniate. I'm still puzzled on why soo many of them attacked at one. That's soo very far from there normal pattern. We lost too many good people in that attack. Even Riti's family wasn't spared. His house was destroyed and he lost his parents. His wife is still recovering from her wounds."

"Well from the sounds of it, me and the others will be going into the forest tomorrow to see what's up."

"What group and you can't be serious about the forest. Noone has ever came out of there after going in. Even with all the warnining signs."

"Well, remember telling me that legond when I first came here? Well, I found the group 1.5 years ago and travled with them for awhile, then we split off and now are back together again trying to figure out what on earth is going on."

"Well it's good to know you found them but I still got to protest about the forest."

"Well, I don't think you need to worry too much. Since tree of us have theses." Neo digs out his god card.

"You have one of the god monsters!"

"Yep, though I wasn't too happy about the way I got it." Neo begins to tell of what happned to him when he meet the group.

"Intresting. Well, it is getting late. You 2 should starting heading to your own homes for the night."

"See you later Treveld." said Neo as the left. Metalmorph woke up and followed beside Neo.

"I figured it would be best if I didn't go in for now. I'm sure it would be a shock to him to see me this way tonight."

"Whatever floats your boat." Neo headed for his home. He unlocked and opened it. Apparently Tusekasa had been keeping house as it was still clean, even if it hadn't been cleaned for afew weeks. Neo went in and went to bed.

*Virgo awoke to a familiar sound and opened her eyes. A single lamp burned inside the room. Josiah stood by the open window, holding several scraps of paper.*

*She yawned.* "Anything important?"

"Not really." *He sighed and shut the window.* "It doesn't seem like much has happened back home since we left."

"Well, when you think about, why would it?" *Virgo replied cryptically.* "You and the others are pretty much the most powerful beings in this entire world. Sure there's Amhal, his army, Mustadio, and a few others who are strong but if someone wanted to conquer Orca you, Silver, Neo, and the others are the ones that have to be dealt with. There's little reason to continue fighting with Amhal when we're right here."

"You have a point." *Josiah extinquished the light, blanketing the room in darkness once more.* "I just hate have having so little information to go on."

"But that's how it always was. With Moenn and Hellion and Bowen..."

"True." *He admitted.* "I guess the last couple of years have spoiled me." *Josiah shook his head, barely able to keep his eyes open.* "Uh, I really need to get back to sleep. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Neo was sleeping rather well until his dreams started back again. This time it played all the way though again and Neo woked up in a pool of sweat. "Man, why do I keep having this dream.", Neo said to himself. Then Neo felt he wasn't alone. Neo looked to his left to see Tsuekasa sleeping beside him again. "And why does she keep on doing that? I mean I do like her but she wants to marry and is trying to get that idea to me." said Neo to himself again. Then Neo got out of bed and headed over to the sofa. He went back to sleep. But sleep wasn't a good thing for Neo dreamed again.

Neo saw what looked like D-Edge. Infact he was standing in his own house. Then he begain to walk. He opened his door and starting walking across town towards the inn. Neo tried to stop his body but it seemed to do whatever it wanted, just like his other dream. He could see a light on in one of the windows but couldn't make out the figure very well. He walked into the inn. Noone was in the main area. Neo still didn't know where he was going in this dream. He then opened a door and steped in while drawing his weapons. He walked over to a bed. He could see Opal sleeping in the bed. He raised his daggers and Neo tried to stop but still didn't have control and to his horror he stuck Opal killing her. Just then Neo woke up, only to find himself standing over Opal with his daggers raised.

Opal awoke with a startle.
"Whoa...that was a weird dream..Neo...what are you doing here?" She asked, barely seeing the daggers with the darkness.

(Hey, are there random trainers around this area?)

Shauni had gotten into a bad habit of late, yet again she sat on the roof of the inn, as she had done at Josiah's home. She looked into the night sky and sighed again as she contemplated her fate
"Vanderbilt..." she muttered, suddenly hearing a commotion from opal's room
"What the?"
She lent over the edge and looked in the window, seeing neo standing over opal as she lay in her bed, as he was holding daggers as if to strike her dead.
"Not interupting anything am I?!" she yelled at Neo
"What the heck are you doing!"
She flew in the window and pushed Neo off Opal
"Get away from her with those things!"
She drew one of her own daggers
"Get away from her!"

*Meanwhile, before he could go back to sleep, Josiah heard what sounded like shouting coming from the next room...*

*The door to Opal's room burst open and Josiah and Virgo stepped inside.*

"What the?!?" *Josiah gaped at the scene. Shauni and Neo were there, both with weapons drawn, with a very startled looking Opal between them.* "Ok, both of you put down the daggers and back away!" *Josiah commanded as Virgo's spear appeared instantly in her hands.* "Opal are you ok?"

"I think so..."

"Ok you two, I want an explanation and I want it now!" *Josiah's eyes flashed dangerous and, although he didn't have his sword, he did have Virgo and his cards.*
