Re: Mafia
OKAY GUYS FINALLY TIME FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN!
I've decided to use a different style than last time, just because I like playing with different writing styles. If you guys don't like it, I'll go back to being comcial, but I just wasn't really in the mood for that right now.
--
Night had fallen on the small town of PebbleVersionville. It was a cold winter’s night, and snow danced lightly through the air as it fell to the ground. The obscured moon provided no light and only the occasional streetlight was on, the bulbs on the majority of them had burned out long ago, but no one had bothered to replace them. Every once and a while, a figure or two would enter the pools of light only to leave into the darkness moments later. Not too many people were out at this hour, and the ones that were out often had questionable motives.
One such figure was the young Miss Saber Knight. She was very, very cross at this time, for she did not at all appreciate being out at this hour. In fact, she was often casting worried glances over her shoulder. Her childhood fears of “stranger danger” had never quite left her mind and, even at age sixteen, she was wary of anyone she saw on the streets.
She continued through the snowy sidewalk, mechanically putting one soaked foot in front of the other as she glanced around in all directions. Why had she thought it was a bright idea to come out, again? Something to do with some homework assignment… an assignment that slipped further from her mind the colder it got. With a shudder, she continued on her way, cursing the fact that all snow-covered houses looked the same to her in the dark.
Suddenly, the teenager’s ears perked up as she became aware of the sound of another pair of boots crunching through the snow. Heart pounding, she rounded about to see a boy who appeared to be slightly younger than herself. He smiled weakly at her.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you,” he apologized.
“Uhm, don’t worry about it,” Saber quickly said with a wave of her hand, embarrassed at being scared so easily. There was an awkward pause. “Well, I guess I’ll just be on my way,” Saber muttered.
“Oh… okay,” the boy said after a pause. He smiled weakly again, the smile not reaching his eyes. His eyes were filled with a frenzied, frightened look. Saber frowned. There was something going on… something she really didn’t want to get involved in.
“Well, goodbye.” With that, Saber turned around and continued on her way. Silent, the boy watched her as she vanished in the distance. His face was expressionless, but his eyes still carried the same frenzy. He didn’t even flinch when he heard a set of heavier footsteps approaching him.
“Did you honestly think that girl would help you?” questioned a gruff, mocking voice. The boy made no response. The man chuckled darkly. “Smart girl, staying away from suspicious folk like yourself. You’re in deep, boy.”
With sudden vigor, the boy turned around and faced the taller man. “Alright! Fine! I’ll pay you back, just give me… a little more time.” His frenzied eyes were pleading. The taller man shook his head, seeming to enjoy the look of terror that crossed the younger boy’s features as he did so.
“The boss has given you too much time,” he said, eyes filled with malice. He saw the young boy’s eyes flick to the side, and he chuckled again. “Don’t even think of running, boy.” His words fell on deaf ears. A moment later, the boy had rounded about and dashed off.
“Oh well, can’t say I didn’t warn him.” A grin spread across the man’s face as he reached into his coat and pulled out a silver revolver. In his panic, the young boy hadn’t thought to keep to the shadows…
The sound of a gunshot echoed through the empty night.
Saber’s heart clenched with fear as she heard the sound. She froze mid-step. It couldn’t be…
Her mind was working overtime, trying to figure out what to do. The rational part of her was being overridden by the sheer panic that was coursing through her veins. Before she even knew what she was doing, she was running. She didn’t know where, she didn’t know why, all she saw was snow everywhere. Her breathing increased in rate as she ran through the cold but then she slipped and suddenly the world was upside down and all she could see was white—and red.
She looked up to see a body face-down in the snow surrounded by red snow. Blood. With a sickening jolt, she recognized him as the boy from before. No… she thought to herself, her mind spinning, forcing her to her knees. He was alive not ten minutes ago. Hell, she had been talking to him ten minutes ago! How could this happen?
Her fingers numb, she reached into her pocket and dialed 9-1-1. With a trembling voice, she relayed the information. The next few minutes were a blur of snow, red and howling sirens. All she remembered was waking up the next day and seeing the headline on the news paper:
Mafia strikes again—Winter found dead.

Yeah... sorry about that... I changed one of the roles twice because I didn't get a response for weeks, but I'll leave them on the list for now. If it becomes a problem that they don't come on to vote, I'll then take them off.

Re: Mafia
Tall man? Gunshot? If anybody, I would say Doodle, but it's unfortunate he's not among the suspects. My vote goes to Josiah. If anybody has skills to pursue someone, it's him.

Trying to blame the leader is the oldest trick in the book for evil dissidants! Which means that the killer has to be Metal!

Re: Mafia
Let's try using the facts here.
Tall = Older (at least older then Winter)
Silver Revolver = A liking to shiny (mainly silver) things
I think that's quite more then enough evidence to lead to a good accusation...Silver must have killed Winter.
