Hi! Amiibo availability in the US sucks right now. The Mario Bros. characters are easy enough to find, along with Link, Kirby, and DK. Beyond that it's pretty iffy, with many (Pit, Marth, Lucario, etc.) being near impossible to get for anything near retail price. Nintendo recently said it's not a stock issue but due to some shipping disputes holding up shipments. So maybe things will improve once that's resolved. I'm not trying to get the entire set, but there are quite a lot I'd like to have (mostly for display purposes, though for in-game use). I did happen to find a Toon Link today, so that was cool.
I never watched SpongeBob on TV, so the movie has no real attraction for me. I'd see Kingman or Jupiter Ascending, though neither is a must.
On holidays, Chinese New Year was fun here. Next up is Purim in a week and a half and some Hawaiian festivals in the first half of March.

Saying that amiibo availability sucks is something of an understatement... Colly really wanted Pit, but you just can't get them in the US. She put in something like four orders from US stores and had them all cancelled. Finally got one by importing it from Europe...

Hi! Yeah... I've never even seen half the amiibos in person. Thought about importing some but it's so expensive... Thinking I might just have to wait and scour Akihabara next time I go to Japan. Not sure when that'll be though. Not entirely out of the cards for this year, but not looking especially likely either.

I got my Marth from toys R Us, he was the only one there. I did see a megaman which I hear is rare but I didn't want him. I got Lucario on pre order.

All I really want is Charizard (got him on pre order thank god) and the fire Emblem guys. Can't catch a break with them though, so probs have to pay over the odds when they finally come out.

Hi! I passed up on getting Wi Fit Trainer and Villager early on, since I didn't really care about them. Though, seeing what they sell for now, I wish I had gotten them... At this point, I really want Mega Man, Sonic, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Pit, and the Fire Emblem guys. Wouldn't mind some other characters, but those are the top of my list by far. Hoping things will improve here now that the shipping dispute is over, though it could take a little while.

Also I've made cakes for a charity bake sale over the weekend. Only rice crispy cakes, they are however selling very well!

Hi! Out of curiosity, I checked Amiibo prices on ebay. Some are ridiculous, others not so bad. I was able to get Sonic and Mega for about $19 a piece (that includes shipping).

Nintendo is working on an Amiibo censor for the regular 3DS models; no clue what the price is going to be, but it's certainly gonna be cheaper than a new system. I also don't know if they've announced a Europe release for it yet, but I don't imagine they wouldn't sell it there.

Hi! There is that, yeah. Though the New 3DS will get you the little analog nub, faster processor, and better 3D tracking. I plan to get one eventually, not in a big rush though.

I didn't know about the adaptor, however I do like the faster running and little nubin for the camera on the new 3ds, I've played a friends, and the custom cases is a nice touch. I cant really play Resident Evil Revelations or Monster Hunter well on the one I have ATM, this should make it easier.

(For some reason, the US is only getting the XL, they're not releasing the normal sized one here at all. Personally I like my portable consoles portable and have absolutely no interest in XL sized ones, but I do have interest in custom faceplates especially when they have Animal Crossings on them)

Hi! Yeah, I'm bummed out about the lack of the regular size New 3DS here too... I'll still probably upgrade eventually for the various improvements, but one reason I haven't been in a hurry to do so I that I'm hoping they'll bring the regular one to the US sooner or later.

TBF, you can probs buy covers for the XL that will go over the top. My current 3ds has a purple case that goes over it to protect it, so the XL will probs get some third party stuff the same
