Hi! If money's really tight, Saber, you could look into getting a student loan and/or try to find a part time job while you're college. Always better not to get a loan if you can, but getting a loan is way better than not going to college. Lots of people do it. If your parents don't know much, you might want to see if one of the schools you're applying to has a financial advisor (most colleges and universities do). They can tell you all about student loans and any other options you may have.

Hi!

Some of my friends and I today on Google+ started speaking leet, so we became addicted to it all day. Can you speak basic leet?

In other news, my grades have gone up a lot. Speaking of school, hope you get to the college you're looking at, Saber. I'm thankful not to have any financial troubles at the moment, but I still hope the best for you. I would go by Josiah's advice on the financial loan. Some friends I know get part-time jobs and work for about a year before going to college, which is commonly done by most graduates. Good luck, though!

Peace out!

Hi! I who just took out a loan and then worked while in college. It makes good time management a bit more critical, but it's not a bad way to do things.

Rosh Hoshannah (a major Jewish holiday) is tomorrow and I might be doing something Friday (not sure yet though) so I may not be online much for the next couple of days.

Hi! Welcome back, Neo!

We played jeopardy in Business Law class today, but I played a lot worst than I usually do. In other news, I have a busy afternoon and evening ahead of me. I wish my little brother who's in 7th grade would stop complaining he's working harder than me, despite him being just a straight-C student. >.> Today was tiring, in general.

Peace out!

Hey.

So my life somehow became a love triangle. Which is weird because I normally stay as far away from this stuff as possible. Somehow I ended up liking a guy that one of my other friends (where "friend" is used loosely) recently stated she likes. And, after sending in a third friend as a secret agent, I learned that he apparently is in the awkward stage where he kind of likes both of us. Part of me is excited that ANYONE would like me (I mean--that's gotta be a first), but then the other half is disappointed because I don't know where to go from here. Wasn't expecting this response. And my friend is far more forward than me, so I feel like she'll end up with him in the end, which sucks because he's waayyy better than her.

Gah. So that's my little shallow life rant right now. Maybe I can win him over with my arrangement of the LoZ theme as a trumpet/trombone duet...

Ha ha. Ha ha ha ha. Sounds like a Type 7 Triangle there, Saber, and you'd be Point B. I know that feeling. And how. I can't claim to be an expert on such situations... we were all kind of stupid after all. But everything worked out in the end... I guess that's how it always is. As long as nobody kills anybody else at least. I'll give you what advice I can, though.

1. It's not a race. Don't think that you need to force yourself into a relationship as fast as possible so that Person C will give up. Because they probably won't.
2. Even if A and C get together, you can still be friends. It feels like you've been betrayed, but Person A may just have been oblivious or didn't think the relationship would have worked. That doesn't mean the friendship can't. Just look at Marius and Eponine! ...maybe I shouldn't use that example?
3. ...How do I phrase this without it sounding like I'm telling you to cheat? Well... even if they get together, you've still got a chance. But don't let him cheat with you! For the love of God, don't do it, even if he's the one doing the flirting and it's really tempting and you don't like Person C and you think they deserve it because they cheated on Person A - with Person A's best friend no less! - and broke their heart the last time they tried going out and you can't believe Person A gave them another chance because they didn't deserve it and-- Er... what I mean to say is... Person A and Person C might break up eventually. And if Person A's in that awkward phase where they sort of like two people... They're most likely going to try a relationship with both of them at some point. They'll break up with one and go right for the other, which sort of sucks, but that's just how it is. But I guess, how can you know for sure if someone's right for you without trying to make it work, right? I mean, if Person A picks Person C and they're really happy together and everything works out well... well, then that's great. There's not all that much drama, so long as Person B holds their tongue. But if Person A realizes that Person C was a bad idea a little bit too late... that's where Person B comes in. And maybe it'll just be a rebound thing... but if it was there from the start, maybe it'll be more than that. 'Cause I mean, I don't think people normally spend two and a half years on a rebound... Do they? I hope not. I really hope not. They don't, right?

...Well. I'll uh... I'll let you know what happens if it comes to that.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hey.

I totally refrained from linking to TV Tropes on my post (because it's like opening a black hole on the internet), but since Silver did I might as well post my tropey opinion on the matter. Kind of. I don't like to think of myself as boring, though, per se. My secret agent friend has even confirmed that he likes her for her looks and me for the fact that I'm actually an interesting person >.>

Haha, thanks for the advice, though, Silver :P Bonus points for the Les Mis reference!

Hi! All my knowledge of love triangles comes from anime, books, and the like and, as such, tends to involve giant robots, aliens, and magical powers so I think I'll refrain from offering any advice here unless you're secretely an alien, mech pilot, or magician, in which case I'd be happy to help. Actually, if you're an alien, magician, or mech pilot, I'd probably want to date you... But anyway...
I will back Silver's "don't cheat" rule. Cheating is always a bad idea, regardless of the situation. And be glad it's only a triangle. You could have ended up with something like the tangled mess of relationships in School Rumble and that would probably be considerably less hillarious in real life.
Oh, that reminds me of some good advice. Watch School Rumble! It probably won't help with the whole love triangle issue, but it's absolutely hillarious as is the best romantic comedy (anime or otherwise) that I've ever seen.

And now, I'm off to get bagels! And probably a green tea frappacino, since the only time I can ever get Starbucks here is when I'm out shopping in Gainesville (there isn't one in the town where I live or on my way to work) and I'll be passing one on the way to the bagel place anyway so I might as well.

Hey-o! Just had a biiiig pep assembly for our annual homecoming game against our rival school! Our pep assemblies are the best, and by the best I mean "guy dresses up as a gorilla, two others as bananas, everyone dances with the cheerleaders" best. Not to mention reannouncing the homecoming royalty, which includes a few of my best friends (including one with a 4.1 GPA)! Good things are in store for this year.

Love Triangles that involve Giant Robots, huh? Though for some reason I gather that isn't quite what you meant.

:smack: Yeah... I was thinking more along of the lines every Macross series ever made, where one or more of the people in the love traingle pilot giant robots. Having one of the people actually be a giant robot is just plain weird...

Where have I heard something like that before...

Now that I'm done breaking the internets with, God forbid, MORE links to TV Tropes, I should probably try and get some homework done before the football game today. Finally a freaking home game! Probably a band party afterwards (it's what we do), where person C will definitely be, and likely person A as well. Last band party, C flirted with A like a crazyface and I ended up wanting to punch her in the face! Whee!

Really hoping this all gets resolved relatively soon. I don't like having my hopes up. If they're gonna get crushed, just do it already.

Hi! I nearly did say alien, esper, or time traveler when typing that post. For the record though, I'll note that I have a whole lot more in common with Kyon than Haruhi. I'd probably get a bit more into things than he does and wouldn't fawn over Mikuru as much. But personality-wise we're pretty similar.

I was thinking the same thing Saber and Josiah :P

Ohey everyone. College stuff. Lots of it. In a late response to Josiah's post: Yeah you're right about that. I still have a little ways to go, but I've gotten better at managing my time since I got here.

You know what's more fun than drawing plants outside at midnight? Making wire penguins at four in the morning. :D

Don't get me wrong though. I like it here, and the work is of a type that I can deal with. It's just that there's so much of it. Eh, I'll get used to it.

All college things aside, I am of no help in any romantic situation whatsoever.
