Hi! Did anyone else see the LEGO Starwars special they had on Cartoon Network yesterday? It was pretty funny.

Anyway, I'll be adding that info to my resume and portfolio site soon enough so I guess there's no harm in telling you. I'll be teaching at Florida Gateway College in Lake City. It's not a particularily big or well known college. The addition of a game program is kinda out of the blue seeing as they're not very tech focused (their most well known program is a certificate in golf course management). If you're interested in studying game design you should...probably not look into going there (though I suppose I shouldn't be saying that). I'll be there, and they're taking my suggestions for the program pretty seriously, but it's only going to be a certificate for now, not a full degree. So while it might end up being a pretty nice certificate program, there's only so much you can learn in a 24 credit program. So while it will be nice for people who already attend the school and just want to study game design for fun or to get a feel for what's involved, if you're really serious about wanting to work in the game industry you'd be better off going to a school with a well established Bachelor's program.

Moi,

A LEGO Star Wars Special?! Gah! Must...see...but have no idea what channel It's on...Wahh.....Hmm...To the internet!...Oh wait...

Anyway...up late again. I just finished a bunch of (Not so bad for once) self sprites that I'll put in my art thread...you know...once I'm done rambling...and mis-spelling stuff because I'm a bit tired.

So...yeah, not much to put here...hmmm...oh! I went over to my Grandparent's house for dinner and got to see my little cousins again! We mainly just talked randomly, got into some Harry Potter stuff (both my little cousins are obsessed with it.), and...stuff...ummm...yeah. I'm tired...

Hi! I went to the doctor today to get rid of a small lump I've had on the back of my hand for a bit over a year. I could have left it (it was a minor annoyance) but my mom really thought I should have it removed. The whole thing went well but my left hand is bound up for the next couple of days, which is making typing a real pain.

Hey.

Channel numbers differ depending on location/what type of cable you have. I honestly don't know what our current channels are because I haven't watched TV much since we changed service providers like two years ago. I have to scroll around forever :P

So, I saw Harry Potter 7 part 2 yeseterday. I thought I'd be more upset that it's all over, but, eh, it ended for realzies years ago with the 7th book, so I guess I got over it back then. Plus, Pottermore's coming out in October, so that's more HP stuff to look forward to! And, I can listen to A Very Potter Musical/Sequel to my heart's content. And I still haven't read The Tales of Beetle the Bard. So, basically, there's still plenty of Harry Potter-ish-things to occupy my time.

Also, I've been trying to work on this novel idea I've had for a long time, but I've never gotten around to starting because I wanna actually plan stuff out ahead of time for once. Otherwise, I only have a few ideas that I really like, and then I rush into things, and then I realize I don't know where I'm going. Either that, or I don't know how to get to the awesome ending I've already planned. Anyway, I think I've actually done some good planning, except I'm missing one absolutely crucial thing... I've got several designs for the main character, but I can't decide. The main character's pal is a character I've had planned out since the idea first formed in my head, and I really like her, except I just can't tell the story from her perspective 'cos it wouldn't work. So now I'm struggling to create a main character that will function and that I can work with and GAH

Moi,

Goodness. Google+...I've heard about it, and I've been thinking of checking it out. The only thing that's slowing me is that...well...I somehow just know that Google+ is going to become today's Facebook, and yesterday's Myspace...Well, maybe I'll take a quick look at it. I mean, it's not like I've completely filled up my favorites bar with useless/semi helpful/random stuff yet!

Arg...Next time I go hiking with my dad, I'll bring a water bottle. Espessially with the kind of weather there's been. We probably walked three miles, at the least. Also, when my dad said "hiking", I was expecting something more natural. Not aspualt paths. Note to self, find more comfortable hiking boots or better walking sneakers.

Hi! I'm not a big fan of social networking in general (those of you who friended me on Facebook have probably noticed that I rarely post anything). But Facebook has some people I like to keep in touch with that are horrible at replying to e-mails. Unless they move to Google+, I've got no reason to.

Hey.

This pretty much sums up my opinion on Google+ Except I don't plan on using it, 'cos it would wanna hook up with my gmail, and I use my gmail to talk to people I don't know in real life, so then it'd just be awkward.

Anywho, softball later today... I get Thurs off from work, which is pretty awesome. Planning on hanging with my buds that just got back from England and India. Whoo!

That's the whole point of the "circles" functionality though. Certain messages go to certain groups, other people don't see them.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

And the hover text pretty much sums up my opinion on Google+.

Also, my Google+ account is attached to my gmail that isn't attached to my name. People should add me! B-D
Three guesses as to what my name on G+ is.

Yaaaay Otakon starts tomorrow! And... I still haven't quite finished the cosplay I've been working on since December... I procrastinated down to the last month, and then spent most of that month totally addicted to Recettear...

But I don't have to go to work for a whole week! A whole week with no 5:30 AM shifts, no 100 F temperatures, and no mentally slow managers that have no idea what they're talking about! I can't remember the last time I was off for that long... oh wait, yes I can. Last Otakon...

Hi! Wish I could have gone to Otakon or Anime Expo this year... I wonder if Florida has any good cons.

I took the wrappings off my hand. It's a bit stiff and sore but otherwise ok. And, um, that's about it. I'm saving the unpacking and cleaning for next week and with my hand bound up there was a limit on what I could get done the last couple of days so I saw a couple of movies (Captain America and Winnie the Pooh) and played a lot of Persona 3.
