Hi! I'm heading home tomorrow afternoon. I'll be missing the end of the conference but my pass only let me get into Tuesday and Wednesday's sessions and I did the expo to death today (it's a rather small one). I'll be catching up on forum stuff tomorrow night (and maybe a bit in the morning as well).

Hey.

Soo I had a small fit of depression last night where I threw my binder against the wall and rudely knocked all the papers I was working on off my bed and cried myself to sleep! Wheeeee life!

Marching band today... some games to reff tomorrow morning, then more band, then our first real competition on Sunday! THEY HAVE APPLE CRISP THERE! EXCITEMENT!

And no school on Monday is there to be quite helpful because otherwise I'm too busy for homework~ AP Stat quiz on Tues, though... ugh. And an AP Physics B quiz on Tues, and I need to finish those test corrections, and I have so many chapters of AP US to read... Whyyyyyy was I so insane as to take 3 AP courses, again?

Hi!

Thew, that was probably the best invasion ever. About 40 game posts, maybe even more. Expect more from me another week. :P

Other than that, I went on a field trip to the courthouse on Wednesday. I was able to see my first real trial, which wasn't very exciting but it was worth my time. Hoping to become an attorney in the future and looking forward to law school, yep, that's me! the most awkward thing I noticed at the courthouse on Wednesday... A 60-70 year old woman who assaulted a man? How is that even possible, I thought. Whelp, You never know what goes on in the criminal law system, I'll tell you that much. If you watch TV shows like Law and Order or Criminal Minds, it makes life a whole lot easier. It's a lot different though, in a real court trial. Trust me.

Now, off to play the guitar. Adios.

Edit: Sorry, Saber. I hope you're out of this depression stage, soon.

Hi! Hope you're feeling better now, Saber.

I made it back to Colorado and, well, that's about it really. I'm trying to catch up on forum stuff, though I probably won't finish until sometime tomorrow.

*Hugs Saber* I'm sorry you're sad. I understand. Cheer up. I used to be depressed all the time. And I'm always over-emotional due to a chemical imbalance in my brain. So cheer up. COME ON, EVERYBODY, GROUP HUG!

Wow, Saber....I used to have quite an amount of fits like that when I was little, up untill....maybe the mid-point of 8th grade (last year). I now can just take out my aggression by playing some of my more rebelious songs (like Rammstein) way to loud. It may annoy everybody else, but I kinda think it's for my own good. [Maybe you need some good rebelious songs you can play to get out some of those bottled up emotions]

Oh boy Metal....I hear enough about court and stuff like that from my dad. Crazy people doing crazier things....so yeah. Any kind of job dealing with law is not really my cup of tea. I don't work well with people. Them annoy me. Computers are better. They don't judge you, or do anything to annoy you, and if they do, you can easily fix it if you know how to. Gah, now that I think about it, being an only child, I kinda grew up not being close to anyone, untill 2nd grade, when I met my first friend. Before that, I was in a Chatholic school, but no one really believes that since, as some of my friends say, I'm "Really, kind of, a bit messed up". Yep, gotta love contridicting sentances like that.

Saber! *Glomps* Its okay, I've been in and out of depression for the past few years. It's not fun but there's always someone around who'll help you out, or at least give you a hug and listen. ^_^

In the meantime we have this thing here called kerbside clean-up, so pretty much once a year people from the government come round and pick up either general household items or green waste (it rotates depending on the area you live in). But anyways so we have a lot of broken stuff that accumulated over the past year and a half (or something like that) and I was taking out some of it including my old sewing machine that I got second hand that kinda worked but not really. I saw a truck coming down the road, went back to grab some more stuff and heard it pulling over in the street. Came out a few minutes later, truck was driving off as I went down the stairs, got to the front and lo and behold. The Sewing machine was already gone.
See I know there's people that drive around picking up old stuff, you know like people who go to the dump and find old things that they have a use for, and I expected it to happen. But it wasn't even there for 5 minutes, and I was still taking stuff out.

Hey.

Awww, thanks, guys :) *feels loved* I've been struggling with depression for a bit now, but I can usually stay on top of it... or I lose it and start sobbing and chucking things across the room, but, thankfully, that doesn't happen too much :P I've been working on talking it out with my friends, but it's nice to know you guys care :)

And, Poison, I'm just the opposite :P I go to the piano and play sad, slow songs, and they make me feel better, because it's a total way for me to just... kinda play out all the sadness into a song (and my sad songs always sound better when I'm upset, or so it seems to me :P ). Upset me plays a LOT of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon :P

Back from reffing two hockey games... left my arms cold, as always. Band practice later! Football game last night... ugh. We played the 4th song even though our director said it wasn't ready, 'cos we need it ready for the competition tomorrow. Percussion... frankly... sucks. A lot. We don't even have a drumline for the show, just a pit. They seem to NEVER watch our drum major... becuase they totally effed up the top of the show. There's one part where the marimbas and the woodwinds play a scale in unison... marimbas ended like a count early. Ugh. Then there was one part where I lost my place, so I stopped so I could come back in like a measure later.... and all the other trumpets stopped playing, too. We had melody. UGH. Then the 4th song... clarinets and flutes were nearly two counts early at the beginning... they recovered when they had a rest for a couple measures, but... stilll.... at least my error didn't have to do with NOT LOOKING AT THE DRUM MAJOR.

Anywho, that's my band geek rant for the day! Ta!

Hi! So Poison, you think don't do anything to annoy you? Just wait till something starts going wrong for no apparent reason when you're in the middle of a big project. Believe me, computers (or at very least some computer programs) can be extremely annoying.

Ah, well...I do agree with you Josiah...My dad's old computer is so slow...I can't even use it with out screwing something up. I've also had to redo many-a-project 'cause something went wrong, but still, I love mine like a family member. Plus, computers can remember things a lot longer then people can, and they don't call you when you're going to bed just to ask you what homework's due tomorrow...and they don't throw softballs at your diaphram or face.

It's so nive to be back at my house after that Girl Scout camp thing. I have one question though, Why is it in October?! I was freezing, all of my cabin-mates were freezing, and we had a really hard time starting the campfire. (okay, that last reason might be 'cause of our poor fire-making skills, but still, have you ever tried to make a campfire when you can't feel your fingers?) Ugh, we also had an amazingly difficult time controlling the little Brownies we were teaching knots to. I'm not one to know how to handle children...in the end though, we all got them done, and I will always know how to tie a sheep-bend knot for the rest of my life.

I had quite the odd experiance a few days ago. A few of my friends got hear me sing. (I normally would not sing even in front of my own parents) I sang along to one of Rammstein's songs "Rosenrot". I was very embarassed when no one said anything at the end, but they said it was because I have such a low singing voice. I really don't know wheather to take that as a compliment or not...

Girl Scouts and Brownies? Wow that takes me back, I tried out brownies and my sister tried out girl scouts (We call it Girl Guides here, and those ones cause of our ages at the time). It didn't last long a couple weeks, didn't like it, mainly cause of the other kids who we're there. Kids can be so crule.
I ended up convincing my parents to let me join the Scouts (Boy Scouts) a year or later. (Which is what I wanted to do originally but they wanted me to go to Girl Guids. It's quite ironic really since girl guides was created because way back then girl's weren't allowed to join the scouts, but they had to let em join eventually anyway cause of the 'high demand'.) I was a Scout for 5 years. That was fun, 2 different scout groups since we moved and I had to leave the first one and I started going to another one.

Yeah we never really had the whole 'lighting the camp fire problem' thing, mainly cause it virtually never gets cold enough to be frezzing and if we had an issue lighting the fire the group leader took over, and if he/she wasn't present then well one of the guys tried to blow us up by making a flamethrower out of an airesol can. Sure it got the fire lit. But then he dropped the can in it, cause he kept using it as a flamethrower after the fire was lit. I like fire and making flamethrowers can be fun. But yeah... even I wouldn't do it near an actual fire... Unless i have a seriouse bodily harm or death wish. And wait? You guys got cabins? What happened to tents? or was it to cold for that? Bah it was frezzing on that cadet camp and raining and we didn't even get tents. We had hutchies. Yup that was it for us. Rain every night and was frezzing.

((Well, Technically, they weren't actual cabins. They were...like...tents but with wooden sides and put on posts so they weren't on the ground...I think they called them A frames or something.))

Ummm...around here, girls can only join Girl scouts, and boys can only be in Boy scouts. When I was around 10, I asked my mom if I could switch to the boy scouts, but of course, I couldn't. My reason for wanting to switch is that I can be more like my self and more open around guys then I can be with girls. Weird huh? *coughcough*tomboy*coughcough*

Hey.

Yeah, girls can only be girl scouts, or I totally would have found a way into boy scouts... 'cos most of my friends are guys becuase... well... kind of a tomboy with a capital t :P I guess kind of less so, lately, since over the past couple years I met a few girls who I ended up becoming really close friends with (PurplePrincess, MusicMaker) for the first time. Before high school, though... I didn't have a single close friend that wasn't a guy.

So... competition today... went..... uhm.... I freaking hate our percussion this year! THEY WERE OVER A BEAT OFF FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SECOND SONG! Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to play with the drum major when you've got a drum beat pulse that you have to IGNORE becuase it's WRONG?! They also messed up the 3rd song... it was infuriating... we ended up with 3 stars overall >.<

So I've had an idea floating around in my head for a story for like a month now... the idea came from a dream I had, and it's been evolving over the weeks 'cos I've been thinking about it an awful lot. Every time I sit to write it, though, I don't know where to start, 'cos it's all jumbled in my head... kind of irritating...

Hihi ^_^

It's only weird depending on who you talk to, I used to be like that. More male friends before highschool, and then more female in highschool. Now I'm somewhere inbetween, depending on who I'm with... Must have something to do with puberty... Girl Guides here is girls only too, and Scouts is still mostly a boy thing. More males then females. And most of the girls in scouts are tomboys.

Anyways, its been raining here, a lot, like pouring down. Okay so it has its heavy spurs but it's more of just this constant rain. It's caused it to be colder then it normally is for this time of year. Which causes problems for my feet. My feet are normally cold when its cool, so now their freezing when its cold. I need new slippers. Wheeeee

Hi! I was never in scouts, though I was in the 7th Day Adventist church's version of it for a few years. We didn't do any camping though. Then before that my mom ran a different kind of christian scouting group for a couple of years. I probably still have all my badges somewhere... Kinda hard to remember exactly what we did most of the time (we left the 7th Day Adventist church when I was 12 or so), but it was fun.
