Hi! I unlocked the cooking thread. Actually I don't remember locking that one in the first place. Must have done it by accident at some point... If you've got a Borders nearby, Doodle, I've found a lot of really great cookbooks for different countries there.

Oh... okay... Imma go sulk in corner now...
Iiiiiin other news, me and my team placed 17th out of either 62 or 67 teams at Global Finals! Exciting! Too bad we bombed Instant Challenge, or we might have made top 10, which gets announced and it would have been AMAZING to make top 10 (even more amazing to make top 3.... you get announced and you get to run up and get a medal... 1st gets a huge trophy of amazing and wonder). Got a buuuuuuuuuuunch of pins! Had SOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun, and I'm wicked upset I have to go to school tomorrow because I am so freaking sleep deprived and I've still got homework to do. AAAAAAAGHHHHH!
But, Globals are totally worth it :D :D :D

Hi! Welcome back, Saber! Glad you enjoyed it.
I spent a while at JUCO (Junior College baseball championships) yesterday first helping my dad get some guy's autograph and then catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. Today though, it's back to work (by which I mean errands, job searching, and a little bit of book related stuff). On the up side, it looks like the most frustrating parts of the whole book approval process are just about over and I'll soon know whether or not it's been accepted. At least I think so. But then again, I've thought that before too... In better news though (or at least more fun news) that last big batch of One Piece volumnes goes on sale today which will take things up to the start of Impel Down (which is the arc currently running in Shonen Jump) and complete the "we're finally not years and years behind Japan" catch-up.

Would anyone here happen to know about the National Young Leaders Conference? I got an invite... and I know my friend went to it, but I got an invite for the fall, and I'd be missing 4 or 5 days of school for it, which will really make it hard to convince my dad to let me go. Also, is expensive... I know this is like... really awesome, because my friend went to it and said it was awesome and she's wicked smart (that MIT friend I've mentioned a couple times here and there) and I really want to go but I'd be missing school and it's expensive and I dunno what to do, so, if anyone here knows anything about it, that'd be a major help.

Hi! Gee this place has been quiet for the last few days. Everyone on vacation or something? Anyway, I'm afraid I can't be of much help there, Saber. But you could always try Wikipedia.
Now that all that surprise book stuff seems to be done, things have calmed down for me (though I'm kinda acting as secritary for my dad's business while my parents are out of town, so that takes some time). I'm driving down to Arizona Sunday for my university's career fair. I doubt anything will come of it (there's only gonna be around eight or ten companies and, of those, probably only two or three will be game related) but it couldn't hurt. Worst case, I waste a couple days driving and some gas money. Besides, I'll get to go to Bookman's and my favorite restaurants and hang out with some friends who are still down there. As for the book... I'll hopefully know one way or the other about it on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hi! Since I'm driving to Arizona tomorrow, I probably won't be online much (or at very least not until the evening). I might (or might not, depending) be away from my computer most of Monday as well. After some thinking, I decided not to bring my Wii down. Galaxy 2 is awesome and all, but I won't be gone that long and really need to finish Disgaea and make some progress in Heart Gold. Of course, there's also that third Higurashi answer arc which I just started and am dieing to spend more time with... What I am bringing, however, is my Slayers Revolution and Evolution DVD sets which just came in the mail today (let's hear it for perfect timing

Hi! The career fair isn't all that incredible (as expected) but a couple of the places I talked to might eventually lead to something... Having fun in Phoenix though, and that's really about it.
