Round 2: Uber-Mart

SILVER

The kids gave Silver a look, as if telling him to stop shouting and pick up a gun if he wanted to shoot things, then resumed their game.

RYAN

Ryan got on the next elevator and made it down to the first floor without incident. He found himself in the usual cashier area.

TROY

Troy found himself in the area contianing Mist Vacuums. Lots and lots of Mist Vacuums of all sizes. Right about then he heard Shana yell something about Portal Panic and seeing themselves on TV.

TROY

Troy failed to find anything of interest in the vacuum section. That left the areas that Shana and Gary were currently searching (Mist Home Entertainment and Mist Cooking Devices) along with the Mist Lighting Fixtures and Mist Heating & Cooling Devices sections.

"If I was more into doll's I'd be in heaven right now. But I think I'll stick to stuffed animals and plush toys." Kaida said then she began to look for anything that might be out of the ordinay, but considering she was on another planet and in an alien shopping centre, it might prove to be difficult.

Kaida found quite a lot of stuff that seemed rather out of the ordinary but nothing that seemed to be related to Portal Panic.

After finding nothing of interest in the vacuum section, Troy's love of electric blankets (So warm and comfy...) led him to the Mist Heating & Cooling Devices section.

After serching every misty nook and cranny in the cookwear section, gary decided to look in the lighting section, but not without taking a mist walfle maker with him.

TROY & GARY

The Mist Heating & Cooling Devices section seemed to hold mostly fans and some sort of floating orb things that appeared to be able to grow very hot or very cold on command.

The Lighting section was very large and contained about every size and shape of lamp imaginable.

Meanwhile, Shana was still watching the TV with Portal Panic on it. "You`re gonna miss it!" she called, annoyed that the others were ignoring her. "I think our stage is gonna be shown next."

"Heh, I might as well take a look," he said. Besides, the light was blinding him. He walked over to Shana, but couldn't help but have a bad feeling about something.

"Well if thats the case then I should try another floor." Kaida said as she headed in the direction that she hoped the elevators would be in.

Kaida made it back to the cashier area without any trouble.

GARY

"Come on, come on! They're switching to our course, hurry!" Shana called as Gary walked over.

Meanwhile, Hostly was on the screen giving a quick status report on the teams in the Uber-Mart course. He cued the scene change just as Gary arrived. But, instead of showing a scene from the store, the screen suddenly blanked out and a message flashed across it. "Take a look #683."

"What the?!?" Shana frowned. "I wanted to see where the rest of my team is, you know? What's the number for? Do you think the TV is broken? Do you think it's a clue? Huh, huh?"

"A clue?" Troy poked his head around the corner. "What colour is it? Oh yeah, sorry for falling asleep earlier... Shana, was it? I'm Troy." Troy looked at the TV screen. "'Take a look at #683'... Hmm.. Might be an aisle or product code or something."

"hmm...It could be an asle number. this store is big enough for more then 683 asles. Ok, so here's what we'll do. Shana and I are going to go look at the office supplies, while you, troy, will go ask anybody if the have seen any orange sphearical glowie things on that asle. agreed?"

Kaida went out of the cashier area and over to the railings near the escalator. "Okay now up or down, eenie meenie mi-Ooo they have shiny things there! Down it is!" Kaida said as she leaned over the railing to look at the floor below her. "Shortcut!" She said swinging herself down onto the floor below.
