Kilth looked around at his 3 Semi-pathetic monsters, One of themb eing really pathetic, and sighed slightly, but clenched his fists and looked up.

"Plaik! use Seed cannon on the arms! See if you can free Satashi! Skelm, Attakc his legs!"

His creatures went off to do so.

Archon hissed and with one fell blow, clobbered a few of the monsters and slapped Spirn away.

At the same time, the distracted Brute flung Satashi across the battlefield and swung his axe at Kilth, barking an order to Archon to preform UnholyWrath.

Archon glowed a sinister dark purple color and suddenly became a blur of movement...

Joshua had to think fast.

"OWR! HOLYWRATH! Djinn! Eyes of Zeus!"

Owr responded and began to glow a radiant gold color... and he passed some of that holy power to Djinn. Djinn quickly put the power to use and fired bolts of energy from his ethereal eyes.

Owr, powered up with HolyWrath, charged headlong toward Archon, tackling the firey daemon and bit deeply onto where the beast's shoulder was with DarkFang.

Archon was shocked and surprised.

Things just got more interesting...

Flamewing flailed about with his wings, eventually getting back onto his feet. Icekit whimpered and licked a small wound in her front right paw. However, both stood their ground. Flamewing took to the air, pecking mercilessly at Archon. He added a few Fireballs into his attack as well. Icekit hissed and spun several times, unleashing multiple Snowballs.

Louanne dove toward the falling axe, using her katana to block the blow. She almost fell over because the axe was so huge, but managed to keep Kilth and herself from being injured too badly. She did get a rather shallow cut on her shoulder. Exerting whatever strength she possessed, she pushed the axe back and swiped one blade at Brute's arm.

Wally, ordering Kippie to use Purify, which would now be more powerful thanks to solar might, on the giant hellfire monster. "And now, for the coop da gracy!" he said, swinging his "staff" (the bakers tool for removing bread from the oven) over Brute's head. (Three hundred Stevenson points (redeemable for prizes) for whoever can tell where I got that line from)

"Ugh...Crap." Satashi got up slowly and after receiving back his stamina,he summons Defense Tortle. "Defense Tortle,Aqua Cannon at his head!" *Defense Tortle's shell opened up,revealing a small cannon and made a gush of straight water at the Brute.*

Blue Wings took the Hellfire attack but it was too fast to be clobbered by Archon's next attack. "All right, Flame Puppy, you get out here, too!" Tim called, finally releasing his second monster into the fray. "Both of you, attack Archon! Flame Puppy, Flaming Scratch, and Blue Wings, light Breeze!" he told them. The monster nodded and went about attacking the fiery foe; both charged at the monster and scratched with flaming claws and glowing talons, respectively.

"Now, Blue Wings, help me out here... we're gonna see what we can do about Macho Man over there." Tim suggested as the purple puppy and blue bird rushed away from Archon so they wouldn't be attacked. Realizing what he was suggesting, Blue Wings flew behind Brute and waited; the others were a little too pre-occupied to even notice. As you can imagine, Brute was kind of ticked off after being whacked over the head and moistened, so he was prepared to attack. Tim grabbed his bow, aimed at Brute, and released... only to see the arrow fly right past him. Just as he had planned. Tim had tied a rope to the arrow; Blue Wings grabbed the weapon in her claws and flew around their enemy in circles. Though he could probably tear through the rope like tissue paper, at least he'd be tangled long enough for everyone to get out of the way.

Louanne realized what Tim was doing and threw herself back to avoid getting tied to the Brute. "Flamewing, use Flame Vortex on Archon! Snowkit, I don't think your Snowstorm is doing much, so don't keep it up! Use Snow Wind or something! Both of you start using stronger attacks." The girl started slapping Brute's face with the flat of her blade.

After his near death experience, Kilth just ducked and covered, covering his head and yelling out to his monsters.

"Just hit him with everything you got!"

So, his monsters complied.

((Moving this along...))

Brute was bound tight by the ropes and could do nothing to defend himself as the barrage of attacks struck. Even if the attacks weren't incredibly powerful, this instance proved that there are some cases where quantity is greater than quality; Brute fell to the ground, passed out, leaving his monster as the only threat...

"All right, yo! Attack Archon again!"

Kilth's creatures did a sort of Charge.

Skelm proceded to jump forward, using Dark sword at the Archon, then unleashing a barrage of Spirits.

Plaik's long leaf whip gained a sligh green aura, as it whipped out at the Archon, attempting to Poison it, then firing a few seeds at the Arhcon.

Jeiko... It just sort of flopped around.

Joshua was starting to panic. Nothing the group was throwing at this Dark Beast Spirit was clicking!

"Great Master... help me..." the little boy whispered.

Lighting cracked through the sky as the sky suddenly blackened with stormclouds. Another crack of lightning and thunder was followed by a steady downpour of rain. The Archon hissed in rage and pain as the rain washed over the creature.

"Owr! Djinn! Attack it again!"

... and at last, the Archon fell.

Satashi kicked at the Brute as the Archon retreated into the Dark Hunter's axe.

"Alright, Brute..." Satashi demanded as the stormclouds suddenly evaporated. He held his honking huge sword at a menacing angle, "You will tell us how to get to Leonhart and how to get past the defenses there, or I'll gladly take off your head and drag it around." Satashi blinked as he sudden'y realized what he just said...

Joshua sensed it, too. "I think your warrior spirit is waking, Master Satashi."

"... It felt scary... and I liked it." Satashi looked at the Brute to ask the Dark Hunter again... only to find he had turned to ashes, leaving only his armor behind.

"That sucks."

"Yeah..."

Wally returned his monsters to his two cards."I agree with...um...that funny talking man who's name escapes me!" Wally said, being horrible with names he hasn't seen several hundred times in a bakery. "And....you know, if there's one thing to cure the evil impulsess to rip people's head off, it's cheesecake." He produced a cheesecake from his satchel. "I only have one though." "Should annihilate those urges to do nasty things." he went over and sat down, a bit tired from fighting off the legions of hell.

"Sah-weet! Cheesecake!"

"Hey, paws off! This is for emergencies only! That uh... actually, I don't think I caught any of your names. But the guy that just threatened to chop the big guy's head off might need it."

"Oh yeah. I'm Tim, and there's Satashi, Joshua, Spirn, Louanne..." he explained, pointing to each one as he said their name.

"What about me?!"

"...And that's Kilth. Personally, I think he's completely insane..."

"I heard that!"

Louanne was hugging her monsters, telling them both how wonderful they had been. Icekit meowed happily and licked her hands while Flamewing nibbled her ear affectionately. "I really should give you two a treat of some kind, but I really don't have much..." She took out a half-loaf of bread left over from their last meal and broke it in two. "Here go you," she smiled rather sheepishly as her monsters pecked/chewed hungrily at the bread. Apparently, fighting Archon had made them hungry.
