Hi! Conference doesn't start till tomorrow so I walked around Austin for a bit. Got 1.5 million bats fly out from under a bridge, (it's the largest urban bat colony) and my friends and I found a mall with a really awesome used game store (tons of rare, albiet mostly expensive) stuff.

So seeing Neo change his avatar reminded me: next year at the local anime convention here I'm going to be part of the Crisis Team (the guys who do whatever needs to get done) with a few other people I know, and just to show that we're all together we're going to be dressing up as the stitchpunks from 9. As you might be able to tell from my avatar, I'll be 6. I'm really excited!

Hi! One day of conference down, three more to go. Wasn't a bad day, but I had to wake up very early (one on my friend's volunteer shifts started very early in the day and I had to drive her there). Looking forward to tomorrow when the expo hall opens. Tell Tale is going to have a booth!

Stuff like that. I've also got a couple useless programs that have one menu, and you answer either 1 or 2, and that's it. The one I showed earlier is what I work on when I'm bored. There's a few things. Like, it starts with:

2. NO

Have a few screens for that one.... it's a long program, needless to say. Also got a program that flips a coin, basically. Says heads or tails randomly. Didn't realize my graphing calc already had an app for that... also didn't know it had a dice app. Meh, it was easy to make. Just display random integer between 1 and 6....

Also been listening to a bunch of Les Mis. Apparently, the school chorus is doing I Dreamed a Dream, but it's a weird version. But, my friend is a major Les Mis fan, so anything that isn't Fantine singing I Dreamed a Dream will be strange to him. I hope it's good.

In the pit orchestra for the school musical, which is the Sound of Music. Final day for auditions for all of the parts are today.... hope my friends get the parts they want. Good luck to them! Not sure if I'm gonna be first or 2nd trumpet... for the first pit practice, the director went to us 3 trumpets and was all "Uh.... you guys... can decided yourselfKAY BYE!" We're basically at similar skill levels... me and my friend are slightly better than the 3rd, probably, and he's probably taking 3rd. Me and my other friend might switch off for 1st and 2nd throughout the musical, so we don't die. Fun stuff.

Back to homework... Rosh Hashana(sp?) made the football game on Thurs night... so I need to get ahead, 'cos I'll have like no time for hommework tomorrow.

Hi! Tomorrow is the last day of the conference and I'm driving back immediately after it's over. Probably won't get back till sometime Saturday morning. As a consequence, I probably won't be on again until sometime Saturday afternoon or night. It's gonna be a long couple of days...

Hey.

M'kay, so we had a football game yesterday in a town a little under a hour and a half away. Rosh Hashana prevented the game from being on friday, like normal. So, we drove down there, and our football team was getting their butts kicked, our band was yelling at one another and the other team's band (very, very small. No uniforms (only jackets) and they didn't march) was being EXTREMLY impolite and obnoxious. Like, when their football team ran on, they played their fight song, and when ours came on we played ours, but the other band started playing Rock and Roll part II (the Hey Song)! That... is terrible ediquette. They were constantly playing when we were, and their brass section blaired so much.... it was irritating.

The second half was better, though. After a nice half-time show by us, the band started getting along better and we all had more energy and we ended up getting 3 touchdowns in the 2nd half, making the final score 21-40, a much more respectable score than 0-33.

Anywho, on the ride home, I... cracked. I've been not getting nearly enough sleep lately, and started to doze off on the bus, but my friend Kim was shaking me and saying "Wake up! Wake up!" She started laughing, then I did... and that's about when I broke. I was sooo slap-happy. Everything someone said to me made me crack up. I was giggling like crazy... and my laugh started to even get on my nerves, but I just couldn't stop. It wasn't my normal laugh, either. T'was a weird giggle. I was also extra ticklish.

It was rather amusing, though. All of my friends thought my food had been spiked, or something. One of them said "Saber, what are you on?" I promply raised my arms in the air and shouted "PANCAKES!", and then burst into laughter soon after. I was twirling around outside, shouting "wheeeee!" as well as "Look at the stars! They TWINKLE! Twinkle twinkle little star! Hahahaha!"

I'm better now, though :P
