WHOA!~
I just realised how long it's been since I last read this thread. I've missed quite a lot. But then I've actually gotten some IRL in for a change. I've hung out with friends (amazing! me, actually SOCIALISING!) and I've been spending every day with my boyfriend. It's great^^

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I have always wanted to meet online friends for real, but at the same time... I like the online association just fine. It's so much easier to be yourself online, you know? But just for the record, Siranae, I am going to meet you face to face someday. You really don't live that far away at all so I'm sure we'll have a chance at some point. And now...
Heso. Ten errors in two lines. That's too much. Dark Gentleman, please be more careful about your grammar.
Y'know, it's always been my Internet life that helped me to deal with real life, which seemed so dull by comparison, but now I'm realizing... it's completely switched. See, today I... Had a party celebrating the end of anime club. Our last meeting of my Senior year - Colly and I were the presidents. There was Pocky, Origami, Brawl, and Battle Revolution, not to mention an epic gathering of Otakus... Then her little sister was in a band concert, so I went. Played Animal Crossing Wild World the whole time. Got a ride home with her family, they stayed for a while and played with our kittens. And may have been suckered into adopting one~ Excpet she's kind of allergic to cats, so I'd feel bad, but...
Yeah. Good day was good.
"Clarify". Don't overuse caps, italics are better. Period or semicolon after avatar, it completes an independent clause. "Very". Space between thread and the parenthese. Space after the period. Space after the comma. Period or semicolon after picture. "Tomorrow". And for the love of God, it's "too", not "to"! Look at my freaking signature!Dark Gentleman wrote:Just to clerify,I look NOTHING like my avatar,I look vary much like the picture I posted of myself in my art thread(Dark Art).Hmmm,I seem to have forgotten to add some new pictures,I will add them tomarrow if I'm not to busy.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I've met one online friend in person (while in Japan, actually). There's another friend too, but I don't know if he counts since we originally met in person, though it was a really short meeting and it was online that we really got to know each other.
Man, walking around a convention floor all day really wears out your feet. I don't think I've done this much walking and standing in a single day since some of my touring days in Japan. Anyway, played more games, watched more trailors, got more stuff, and the like. I'd say more, but it's already getting kind of late and I'm going to go into detail in Monday's PV update anyway. But if anyone has questions about a specific game feel free to ask.
FYI: I probably won't be on again until Friday not. Tomorrow I've got the last day of E3 and then a long drive back to AZ. Then Friday I've got classes and then I need to spend a lot of time working on homework that I didn't have time to do while on this trip. I'll catch up on forum stuff then and on Saturday.

(insert greeting appropriate to 3 AM here)
Oh, man, walking around at conventions...You were at least wearing comfortable shoes, right Josiah? Second day I went to AX, I had to survive the day walking around in handmade hemp sandals. Oh the pain. It took a full day to go away. * winces at the memory*
Uhm...I...don't think I have anything else to add...* runs away*
I should sleep at more normal hours, don't'cha think?

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I've met one of my online friends.. in fact he's in the same room with me now
Just started playing Half Life. Mostly cuz I completed Portal (TEH WOOT!) and it mentioned Black Mesa. So far compared to Half Life Portal is a (no pun intended) cakewalk. There's no head-nomming-zombie-crabs you have to fight off with a crow bar. No alien doggy things.. just basically there's a lot less tryign to kill you. Also less buttons.
The game seems pretty sweet though so I'm going back to that now. Time to shoot some.. things... um... yeah..

Mesa wub pocky. My friend has it every once and a while, and I snatches it from him and 'noms it.
Well...we have state tests today and tomorrow. MCAS (Massachusetts Child Abuse System, only not really
And, my friend is coming back from Florida! We're having a welcome home party for him on Saturday. Finally! He can give me my copy of Brawl back--uh, I mean it'll be awesome to see him give me my copy of Brawl back. Eh.
May the Triforce be with you.

THE NAZI IS BACK!
Yeah, I had a week off internet, because my folks were in Israel, but I'm back.
And I've heard that I'm needed.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Well I haven't actually met any of my online friends technically, but I used to hang out with Celebifly whenever I visited my grandparents (they kinda lived close together-ish) and now I'm on the other side of the continent, so I don't know if that counts? But yeah, I actually have an online friend I've known for about 3 years now in Utah. She's planning on coming up next year and I'm really excited! I'd be visiting her this year, but the plane tickets alone are a good $600 total and I'd have to hotel it up. Being poor sucks.

Space after full stops and elipses, DG.
And comma before 'So' and after 'Wow', separate clauses.
Try saying your sentences out loud, and applying puntuation from that.
Oh, and the correct term is 'Grammar Nazi'.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Heso! Ok, DG... I'm sure you knew exactly what all the mistakes you made were, considering you made the same mistakes in that post... It's one thing to make grammar mistakes - it happens to the best of us. It's another to completely deny them, pretending to be more proficient than you really are, and ignore the advice of others entirely just to make yourself look better. If you're going to act like that, you could be the first exception to the Theory of Pebble Version... If you prevent it from becoming a scientific law, I am not going to be happy.
Also, I just remembered that technically I have met one online friend in real life: PoikSpirit. Now, technically, he was a RL friend of Stevenson's before joining the forums, and Stevenson is obviously my RL cousin, so there was a connection there, but... the first time I met him was online and I later got to see him face to face, so... I say it counts.
