I never went to my "Prom", I dropped out of school before it happened, and what's really funny is I'm not even sad that I didn't go.

Although I agree with Silver on the relationships part.
Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Taipan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell
That spikes you when you pick it up

Hello. I'm Poik, and I've been "the game" free for 3 months.

Yeah, I went to the prom. Last year. Not this one. Not because of the mental scarring, but just because I just am not a dancer. I danced because my ex made me. I guess it was okay. But still was not anywhere worth the rest of the ordeal. Oh and the theme was... umm... You know, there was one, but I don't think they did anything with it. And one of the years my sister went, the theme was "Hotel Royale." Because the schools don't support gambling, instead they support pretending that the whole teenage population of the school is going to a hotel with their dates... Did I ever tell you that the people at my school are dumb. :eyeroll:

Hi. Ya, about me not being on for a for a while? Well, what I ment to say was that I'm not going to be on as much. I'm using my brother's laptop.

Ok, so yesterday, my brain broke and a lot of people learned that yes, it is possible to roll on the floor laughing. Ok, it all started in the morning, when I was eating breakfast and forgot to take my meds. I have ADD and take concerta, but it's a low dose. Now, I've always taken my meds on a school day, but sometimes I don't do it on weekdays and I can be a bit irratating. Kisori can attest to this. Anyway, my not medicated-self snuck some jelly beans in my backpack before I left for the bus. Borring bus ride, yadda yadda, first period. Nothing real special there, just me eating jelly beans while taking notes. Now we make our way to third period. Allow me to give a little background info. My school scheduals it's clubs every other thursday, usually during third period. To accomidate that, my school shortens first, second, and third period for and hour of clubs after third period. Well, so far, I was acting like I usually do(sitting silently staring at the teacher, board, or space), but I was twitchy. When clubs started, I was still in the classroom and some people came in because we have a club in my classroom. The person who was sitting behind me noticed my twiching and wanted to know what's the matter. It was then that I realized I didn't take my meds. Hilarity ensues. The girl who sits infront of me (who I kind-of-sort-of relationship with) made a comment that I, on my non-medicated, jelly beaned high state, thought was the funniest thing I ever heard in my entire life. So I started laughing. Loudly. Like the Joker. I was laughing so hard that I fell out of my seat. It was so bad that I was curled up in the fetal position and shaking. This smilies right here --> is only the basic idea of how hard I was laughing. The girl had to drag me across the floor so I wouldn't get stepped on. Oh, but that was only the begining. when third period was over, I had to make my way over to my next class. Now, I was still laughing by then, but I was able to get up and walk around. Luckly, the girl who dragged me across the floor had fourth period with me, so she helped me get incase I fell down again. Forth period was real bad. I usualy sit next to some funny people before I go to lunch, so...yeah. This time, it didn't have to be funny to send me sprawled on the floor, limbs flailing, laughing my head off. For example, "cookies and cream" had me flailing my arms everwhere. Luckly, I calmed down during lunch so I wouldn't be distracting during class.

No more sugar for me!

So, now to get to the subject at hand. Now, I know for a fact that I'm not going to prom this year. The logic being that it is expensive, senior prom is more memoriable than junior prom, and that the theme is lame. I have someone I like to go with and if it wern't for those three reasons, I'd ask her. She'd probably say yes, because so far, the reason why she says that she's not going to prom is because 1) it's expensive, and 2) no one asked her.

Also, has anyone backed the bid for Chicago to host the Olympics in 2016? The opposing cities are Rio, Tokyo, and Madrid. If Chicago hosts the games, I'm going to try to reserve some seats. What about you?

Third... My GOD I don't want to go! You can't make me! Why on earth do humans think it's a good idea to wear fancy, uncomfortable clothes when they plan to dance and get all sweaty anyway? Why does society condone the idea of getting everyone in the emotionaly and hormonaly unstable teenage age group together at the same time in the same place, even when a lot of them hate each other? Why are people willing to spend so much money just to enter when they could easily go somewhere else that costs much less and have just as much, if not more, fun? Why, oh WHY, did I agree to go for the sake of... her...? Geh... Relationships are like the game: You just can't win... but you play anyway.

And... secretly you enjoy it.
Heh, I hear ya there Silver. I didn't want to go but my friends somehow managed to con me into going. I'm no dancer, but it wasn't half bad really.
*sigh* at least some people have friends in their own grade to show up with.... I mean I met up wiht a few aquaintences whne I got there (on bought a date so Ifelt like a third wheel, one I had a crush on an he showed up with a gorgeous girl from another school although they were only friends and he wasn't interested in me anyway and one I hardly knew but we all had an okay time...) so I had three guys to hang with...

Jut when I actually arrived.. I had nobody to talk to and everyone else looked so much prettier than me >.< blah. You can't have a worse prom than I did.

Dangit, I just lost the game. Also Gar that was hilarious, I was actually chuckling while I was reading that! ;-) Proms are definitely expensive, the only reason I went was because my friends dragged me. Ah well, it was still good times, even though none of us ended up dancing that much.

I got out of my prom fairly cheap compared to some girls because I borrowed my dress from a friend. She wore it to her prom like 10-15 years ago and her sister wore it to hers after that.

Unfortunately with the flash one of the people who was taking photos was using it went slightly translucent.

When I saw the pictures I was like :-o then >-| then -.- then ::-(

Hi! Being homeschooled, I never want to a prom. Well, that's not quite right. I could have since the local homeschool group did have a prom but no one I knew was going and I had pretty much zero interest in going anyway. If it's not DDR, I have very little interest in dancing (though I do kinda want to learn the Hare Hare Yukai, but that's still totally different).

Tips for Gar: The better virus scan programs can often run off a CD and give a good shot and fixing even a heavily infected system. Failing at that, you might need to format the system and start over.

So, I spent most of the day at Anizona. This is my forth time there (was at the first three, missed one or two (can't remember), and now I'm back) and I've got to say, it seems like each year it's less organized and has less things to do. I mean, the first year was awesome (Yoshi-taka Amano as the guest of honor, three viewing rooms, huge game room, cool panels, big dealer room) but every year after that the guests have gotten more obscure, the game room has shrunk, the dealer room has shrunk, there's been fewer viewing rooms, lamer panels, and the general scheduling and planning seems to be declining too. Year two was still pretty good, three got boring after about a day, and this year is even worse. Not that I didn't have some fun though. I ran into an old friend of mine who I didn't know was still in town, bought a few things, and had some fun in the game and karaoke rooms. Still, if the registration fee wasn't so cheap I'd probably be rather annoyed at the whole thing.

Hey.

It rained last night, which may mean softball practice is cancelled. Darn fields take FOREVER to drain. It's really obnoxious. Can't play on a wet softball field.

Regardless, our first game (finally!) is this Monday. I'm pumped....and I hope I get to start ;-D That'd be fun. Too bad it's against what's usually the toughest team in the leauge. Ah well. We'll manage...hopefully.

Aside from that, I'ma gonna try and get my new laptop today. My dad said instead of having a birthday party, he'd chip in 250$ for me to buy a laptop. Yaaay! I've been wanting a laptop for quite some time. I'm super excited.

Laptops are the best thing ever. I have no idea what I'd do without my laptop. Ask me to get rid of my laptop and I'd ask you if you want me to hack off a limb as well!

I <3 my laptop^^

Anyway, went to the annual festival thing my city puts on today. It's awesome with rides and markets and stuff. Only 2 things could have made it better.

1) I have bruises on my shoulders from the harnesses some of the upside downy spinny roundy rides. They don't hurt though unless I poke them. So I'll have to try not to do that.

2) If my sister didn't puke when coming off the last ride... and she got my arm >.< btu the plus side to that, we cleaned ourselves up and a nice lady at a market stall gave us a free sample of a scented massage oil so she could mask the smell.. and then I bought one of the beautiful smelling soaps from there^^

Other than that. It. Was. Awesome.

...fun skiing was fun. Went with 5 friends. My friend Lauren broke her arm on the bunny hill (I really shouldn't of laughed... she's never skied.), though, and she came back at around 2 with her arm in a sling. Ski conditions were great in the morning, but sucked in the afternoon because it was so warm, and the hills were getting slushy so around 4 we stopped, went inside, and drove home. I shouldn't of put my ski pass on my jacket, it was so warm. I had to keep at least that on. >>

We have school dances. I don't really go, because;
1. I can't dance. Actually, I can, but I look like an idiot.
2. Even it I wanted to ask someone out I wouldn't have the guts to.
3. The line for karaoke is amazing... I've gotten to sing once before there, and the song didn't even have the correct lyrics. >>

Gar, I'm not going to Chicago or anything, but I'm excited to go to the VANCOUVER 2010 GAMES!

I've only ever been to one con and that was more of a 30 min "Hey look there's a con!" thing because none of the rest of my family wanted to stay more than that. However, I have every intention on going to Anime Evolution this year, apparently it's the only anime con in BC, so it's really big. Blah, exams start in 3 days, I want them to just be over with already! :-q

Hi! I would be more excited for the Vancouver 2010 olympics if I didn't live on the other side of the freaking country. Now that I think about it, Chicago's actually closer to Ottawa than Vancouver is. If they get the 2016 Olympics I can just go there and pretend I'm in Toronto instead, except on a different Great Lake and without the horrible major-league teams. (That's right, I said it. Maple Leafs/Raptors/Blue Jays/Argonauts SUCK!!!)

Anyways, the teams in the NHL playoffs have pretty much been decided, and Ottawa's out for the first time since '96, so instead I'm rooting for my other favourite hockey teams (Detroit, Montreal, and Calgary). Hockey's been the only major league sport in Ottawa since our baseball and football teams folded... I miss the Renegades! T_T
