Critique of our Writings
Re: Critique of our Writings
A couple of things, grassaquil. First off, if you want feedback on your story you should ask for it in the thread for your story and maybe in the Saying Hi thread. Asking about it in someone else's story thread is not appropriate. Second, while it's fine to want feedback and to ask every now and then to remind us, you have to realize that these things can take time. A lot of us are pretty busy right now. I just started a new job, a lot of other members just started a new school semester, etc. So be patient, and maybe post a little reminder (in an appropriate thread) every two or three weeks if needed.

Re: Critique of our Writings
Ok, terribly sorry, I was rude for barging in on someone else's post, but the name confused me critique of our writings, I figured it was an open crituqing post, but terribly sorry, I'll try reaaly hard not to make mistakes like that again, terribly sorry.
I thought Snivy was a grass version of Cyndaquil, that's the reason for my nickname, oh yeah check out my Youtube channel, grassaquilUV. (easy to remember, isn't it?)
Re: Critique of our Writings
Actually, I was wrong there. I got this thread mixed up with another one... This is a perfectly fine thread in which to ask for writing critiques. Sorry about that...

Re: Critique of our Writings
Just wondering if anyone has really had much chance to read my new Fanflick or at least have any ideas on it. Will be posting a nother new one (both just mostly to get out of head and into writing) but do want to eventually post both on-line somewhere for others to see but want them to be good in terms of being written.

Re: Critique of our Writings
I read it, but I'd want to read a bit more before making any comments.

Re: My Book Series
Any feedback on Striking Iron (the story in my writing section) would be appreciated.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

Re: Critique of our Writings
The basic writing is solid. There's not really enough for me to say much about the story itself yet, other than that you've got a pretty good narration going.
