Hi! SAT is one of two major tests (the other being ACT) that students in the US can take when they near the end of highschool. When you apply to a college, they typically look at your SAT or ACT score (along with some other things) to decide whether or not to grant you admission.

Saber, not sure what virus scanner you've got but make sure it's got all the latest updates then restart your computer in safe mode (it varies a bit bycomputer but usually that involves hitting F8 at a certain time while the computer is booting to bring up a menu from which you can select safe mode) and then run a virus scan. If that fails, and you have a windows installation disc handy, you can boot with said disc in the drive and do a repair on your installation, after which you should be able to get rid of the virus (though an OS repair tends to break some installated programs so you'll probably have to reinstall and update the anti-virus first).

Heso! In other words, the SAT is the biggest waste of time and money in the history of the world. Life isn't a test. It has projects, quizes, homework, and it's a class you have to participate in. A single, stressful, eight-hour test can't measure someone's value, and colleges can't possibly justify judging people based on that.

That said... hah! I scored way higher than Brenda in the writing section! Most likely entirely due to her... poorer-than-average spelling abilities. Anyone who can spell "symptoms" as "simtompys"... should really consider tutoring.

Hey! It's teacher torture preparation week at my school, where the students donate cash and the teacher who gets the most money has to be tortured, I can't remember all of them, but the one I do is that 2 math teachers have to sit on a block of ice.

Having major computer problems. Got a very nasty virus that can't go away normally so after hearing afew options I (lack of better judgemnet) decided to try and reformat my computer despite my dad saying wait. My hurry to get my computer fixed solved the virus thing but left my computer in abit of shambles that I don't know how to fix and can't revert back to the old way again...I should of just payed the 200...

It seems a lot of people are getting super viruses. I got one, I had to reformat my hard drive... but I did it through the reboot disk thing that come with my computer.

The great majority of my friends have below average spelling, which drives me nuts because I always end up being the one fixing their mistakes.

Hi! Being the computer expert here, I feel I should chime in so, presenting...

Josiah's Virus Avoidal Tips

1. Get a virus scanner (if you have money, get Norton Internet Security; if you don't, get AVG Free).

2. Make sure your virus scan is set to automatically start when your computer boots and run in the background.

3. Turn on auto-updates to keep the scanner up to date.

4. Get a firewall (if you have money, a really good one comes with the afore mentioned Norton Internet Security; if you don't, turn on the Windows firewall).

5. Make sure automatic updates is turned on for your firewall too.

6. Download a decent free spyware scanner like Spybot Search & Destroy or Microsoft Anti-Spyware. Most virus scanners have spyware scanners built in, but it doesn't hurt to have a second. Remember to turn on auto update and all that.

7. Don't have more than one virus scanner, firewall, or stand alone spyware scanner running at the same time, they'll probably conflict.

8. Never download files from strange websites or people you don't know, even if said file is supposed to be something good. If you absolutely have to for some reason, have your virus scanner scan the downloaded file BEFORE opening it.

9. Don't open e-mails that are obviously spam.

10. If you do open a spam e-mail, NEVER click on any links in it or download any attached files.

11. Don't visit shady websites.


Josiah's Things to Do if You Get a Virus

1. Make sure your virus scanner and spyware scanner have the latest updates downloaded (if you don't have any installed, get a copy ASAP and try to run a scan off the disc (most let you) before installing.

2. Reboot your computer in safemode (hit F8 repeatedly while it's booting to get option on most computers) and run all your virus and spyware scans.

3. If the scan finds infected files that can't be cleaned, quarentine or delete them.

4. If nothing works, back up your most important files to a disc, format your computer, and reinstall Windows, your virus and spyware scanners, and firewall. Be sure to run a scan on the disc containing your backedup files before copying them back onto you computer to make sure none of them are carrying the virus.

Heso! Gurren Lagann just ended. I'm glad they gave us the last three episodes instead of waiting until next week for the last one... I'm glad they did that, but... now it's 12:30 AM and I can't sleep.

Because they essentially killed off every good character besides Viral and Leeron.

And it was still epic.

Hi! I use Spyboy Search & Destroy, and have been for a while. If you use it though, I recommend using the Immunization feature every time you download new updates and I also recommend leaving Tea Timer turned off.

Since today's a holiday, my anime club had a marathon session last night. We watched the first 18 episodes of School Rumble straight through (from 9:30 till around 4 AM). It was fun.
