Kusa quickly took hold Yuki's wrist, not hard, but to ensure that she wouldn't try and run off. "Some of us should head back to the soul society and report to the captains. Those who will stay are... Bael, Kaoru, Rath, and Yume. Everyone else can head back. Any objections?", he asked, looking around.
Rune set Rath down on the ground. "You be careful while you're here, okay? I should be able to come back soon.", he said. He then walked over to take Kiku from Yume so that she could be helped back to the soul society.
Rath nodded his head, looking sadly over at Rai. "All right..."
Bael grunted, but offered no objection whatsoever.
Kaoru shook his head and walked over towards Rai.

Yume smiled at Yuki and gave her a little wave. Kiku thanked Rune profusely while internally wondering if she should insist she could walk or if she should accept his assistance. After she nearly tripped halfway through the gate, she decided on the latter.

Kusa landed on the other side of the gate, still holding Yuki's wrist. "Sorry, but they've got it covered. We need to go report to Hitsugaya about that women.", he said firmly to her, meaning he wasn't going to play around right now.
Rune helped Kiku through the gate, keeping a careful hold on her. "Tell me... Where would you like me to take you? Or would you rather accompany me to see Captain Kuchiki?", he asked. "Your choice, Miss Kiku."
Bael, Rath, and Kaoru all stayed behind with Yume to watch over Rai.

Kiku blushed again. "Um...that's okay...I'll just...sit down somewhere and...recover," she stammered. "I don't know if it'd be...allowed...I mean..." She looked like she was getting hopelessly confused. "You're a vice-captain...I shouldn't intrude on your meeting with your captain..." She stood blinking for a little while, then sighed. "I think I'll go back to the Fourth Division headquarters...Unohana-taichou might want to know..." With a distracted smile, she excused herself and hurried off, just barely avoiding colliding into a wall.
Yume, meanwhile, was fiddling with her shawl, twirling the fringe between her fingers. She looked at her three companions, then down at the Quincy. "How long do you think he'll remain out?" she asked no one in particular.

Yume looked down, surprised. "Well, maybe I should complain about things more often," she joked, half-smiling. "It seems to bring results faster than just waiting." She turned to the Quincy. "No, you're not dead. I'm pretty sure you might have been, had Kiku been slower. She fixed you up all right, but she ended up so exhausted she couldn't stand on her own for a while. I'm sure she's gotten better by now though."
