A blinding light engulfed the Hollows as well as Rai having beams go right through several hollows, eliminating them. "I've... done my part..." said Rai, having his blood soaked body fall to the ground "So... this is what death feels like..." he said, as blood poured out of his wounds.
(so... he ain't dead... IF he gets some healing....)

(Uh, Blastotoise...You do realize, I hope, that Yume is more than nine times older than Marley? oO')(And sorry I'm taking so long to reply. *pokes Saying Hi thread*)
"That's odd," Yume thought to herself. "Shinigami and Hollow I can understand, but Shinigami, Hollow, and Quincy?" She shook her head. "Odd." Without further ado, she swung her blade in several wide arcs, expanding her little flock of birds. She then sent them to attack everything in sight, both Hollow and mysterious opponent. That is, before Rai's explosion wiped out nearly all of the birds. "What'd he do that for?" Yume looked rather surprised as she lowered her ice shield, having hurriedly created it when she heard Rai begin his incantation. "He might've killed himself." She thought about it, shrugged, and looked around. Practically all of the Hollows were gone. "Less trouble for us," she noted as she attacked one of the few remaining.
Kiku, partially protected from the ginto blast by Yume's ice shield, ignored the few minor injuries she had sustained. She hurried to where Rai was, remembering what destruction he had caused last time. She only hoped he hadn't done even more damage to himself. It soon became apparent that all the hoping in the world right about now didn't change the fact that he'd die extremely quickly if not healed.
She instantly bent over his prone figure, pressing a hand to what looked like his most severe injury. It took her almost five minutes to get it to close. By then, Marley had forced the retreat of the strange new enemy. Kiku took almost twenty additional minutes to seal the remaining injuries and stop most of the bleeding. A few wounds were still present, but nothing life-threatening. Kiku, exhausted, sat down next to the unconscious Quincy.
Yume eventually finished off her Hollow and made her way to Kiku. "He gonna be okay?" she asked. Kiku nodded, too tired to speak. "That's good." Yume looked around. "Well, it looks like things are wrapping up here...are we supposed to go back to Soul Society now?" She directed her question at the nearest higher-ranking officer other than herself. Which happened to be Kaoru.

Rune re-sealed his shikai and sheathed his katana, the immediate danger having passed. He quickly found Rath. "Ready to go, little one?", he asked.
Rath nodded, hopping up onto his brother's shoulders.
Bael slung his axe up on his shoulder. "Seems we're not needed any longer"
Kusa held his naginata loosely at his side. "You're right, Bae-chan. We'll be going home now... again.", he said, partially in reply to Yume.
Kaoru put his fan away and went to stand near his younger brother.

Yume heard a voice, turned, saw nothing, looked down, and saw Yuki. "Oh, hello." Then she realized the smaller girl had asked her a question. "Oh, I'm Mizuaki Yume. Eleventh division, eighth seat. I have those 'birdies' help me fight. Nice to meet you." She paused, then asked, "Who are you?" As she waited for a response, she returned her zanpakutou to its sealed form, sheathing it. The small birds reverted back to water and fell to the ground in a miniature rainfall.
Kiku looked both embarrassed and rather guilty as Marley limped away. "I...wasn't aware using bankai could induce that level of exhaustion..." she muttered, her face turning pink again."

Kiku tried not to put too much weight on Yume, though it was nice not having to stand on her own. "Um..." She looked at the vice-captains. "Kyohaku-san has a point...we can't really leave Quincy-san here...that...woman might come back and kill him...she seemed pretty intent on killing all of us..." She went slightly pink again, hoping she hadn't said too much.
Yume turned her attention to the younger Shinigami she was supporting. "Well, I don't think we can take him with us, so..." She thought about it. "Should we have somebody stay in the real world and watch over him? Or something?"

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't," replied Yume enigmatically with a grin. She glanced at Kiku. "Think you can stand on your own now?" Kiku nodded and let go of the taller Shinigami. She wobbled a little, but managed to stay up. Yume looked again at the vice-captains, waiting for instruction.
