If this is the right person I recall, then Seth because he's the only advanced starting guy who doesn't suck.

Kane (from C&C i.e. the guy with endless lives), Kain (FF4) or Cain (bible)?

Kane probably since he's got endless lives and therefore cannot be killed, though he'd a have a bit of trouble with the wooden cane.

Luigi. In Super Mario World for the SNES, Player 2, who was automatically Luigi, could beat Bowser just as well as Player 1/Mario could.
