"That's Icekit and Flamewing, respectively," Louanne informed him, laughing. "I don't really know how good they are because I've never gotten into a serious battle with them yet. The only time they battled was when-" She paused, then continued with slight hesitation. "-When we helped Ezekiel capture the Mystic Hippogriff. Even then, I only had them use Snow Ball and Fire Ball." The girl shrugged. "I don't know their true potential in the battlefield, that is."

"Mystic Hippogriff? Sounds like without this Ezekiel person you're a bit lost..." he said. "Right...Icekit. Snowpuff. he looked at icekit. I hope he doesn't-" he saiad absentmindedly. Just then, Dragoo sneezed, sending fire out of his mouth and nose. "Sneeze." finished Wally.

"Yeah, we kind of are," Louanne admitted. Just then, Dragoo sneezed. Sqealing in a very un-cat-like way, Icekit fled to the safety of Louanne's arms. Laughing, but at the same time trying to comfort her monster, Louanne hugged her. Flamewing hopped to his masters right foot, looking up curiously. He had no fear of fire. In fact, he wecomed its presence. Then again, he was Fire type...

((What do you guys think about all the AROM stuff being moved to the ROM forum? It won't be pinned but it seems silly to have ROM RPs going on in a different forum when they could easy be happening there))

Joshua looked edgy.

"What's wrong, kid?" Wally asked.

"Ezekiel was Joshua's teacher." Louanne explained, "I assume our lion-friend was like a father to our guide."

"... Lion?"

"I guess he hasn't been in your part of town..." Joshua sighed, "He's a lion-morph and student of Elder Koda..." Joshua looked around, "Do you get out much?"

"Not while I'm running a buisness, kid."

Joshua did his best to hide the "wow, that explains a lot" expression on his face. Wally didn't seem to notice.

"And what's this about you being the guide, kid?"

"Master 'Zekiel taught me everything I know about the world of Labryn and about monsters... I know just about as much as he does." Joshua said proudly with a childish grin. Then that grin faded, "I just hope Master 'Zekiel is okay... we have to get moving to Leonhart if I'm ever going to see my teacher safe..."

Ezekiel panted from from the shock and pain, then looked at the two small puncture wounds on his black-furred arm. The blood had clotted instantly. 

The orc grinned with rotted teeth as his "pet" Snake slithered back into the compartment of the orc's gauntlet it was contained in.

"Not long now, furball." the Orc growled, "Now all the cat-men will serve de Orrks!"

Ezekiel clasped a paw over the Snake-bite. <Joshua... my ward... Hurry...>

Satashi slurped his Ramen and said in a little whisper,"A traveling baker,cooking things out of no where with logic that makes sense only in this world ... Cute."

Wally somehow managed to hear it.

"Excuse me there,son?"

"Guh,nothing.nothing at all. Please don't attempt to choke this food out of me."

Trying to get out of the subject,Satashi looks at Kilth.

"Say,where'd you get that card from? Someone dropped it on the ground?"

Louanne let Icekit down after telling her to keep away from Dragoo. "So when do we set out again?" she asked everyone else. "We'll need to get going if we're going to save Ezekiel..."

Joshua heard an odd noise outside and turned to look. "Hear that?"

"Don't mind that kid. I always hear weird noises. You know how thin these old walls are."

Joshua only nodded in acknowledgement and got up to investigate the sound.

Louanne tilted her head and strained to hear the odd noise, but all she could hear was the sound of the market... Icekit's ears bobbed up and down as she tracked Joshua...

Joshua held his dagger close as he moved closer to the barrel in the back that carried the source of the noise. There was a barking and a snuffling coming from the container-- then the container jiggled and fell on it's side, and out tumbled a black wolf cub with a silver cross adorning his forehead.

"OOOOWR!!"

"AGH!"

Out of impulse and surprise, Joshua flung his one monster card at the wolf cub.

Oddly, the creature just vanished willingly into the card...

Picking it up, Joshua read the details of his new partner:

Owr - 1/3 - Darkness/Light - MoonCry, Holy Wrath, DarkFang

Louanne blinked. "Um...that was surprising..." Flamewing hopped over to Joshua, peeping. "Flamewing! Come back here! If you're hungry, don't go asking food off other people!" Icekit meowed. "You too? Aii...Wally, could I have some bread and fruit for these two?"

"Yeah, I'm convined that you can hear a fly landing on the other side of these walls if you listened enough." he said. Then he heard louanne's request. "This is a bakery, girly, not a restaraunt. Bread's on the counter." he pointed at a baskert of bread on the counter.

Joshua absentmindedly studied his new card, rolling a plum-like fruit with fiery colors under his palm. 

Flamewing seemed to have noticed the fruit and was perched innocently on the table, staring as if hypnotized by the fruit.

"Flamewing, don' t bother Joshua, I have food here."

But little Flamewing was unresponsive, only letting out one 'cheep' to acknowledge that he heard his partner.

Joshua looked at Flamewing with blank eyes, "No wonder. This is a Pyrolum fruit. I hear that Flamewings love Pyrolums."

Louanne seemed in intrigued, "Really?"

Joshua gave Louanne the Pyrolum fruit, "Really. Master 'Zekiel also told me that if a Beast Spirit eats it's favorite food, it will preform better in battle. " The boy sat down to study his card again, "I have yet to see if this is true."

"We might find out soon, Joshua." Louanne knelt to let Flamewing the Pyrolum, "At least I know what Flamewing likes."

"Uh huh..." Joshua let Owr out of the Spirit Charm [the card], and the little canine looked up at his new partner with innocent blue eyes. The wolf cub seemed totally unaware of what just happened.

Icekit sensed the new creature and arched her back as Owr approached with a curious look in his face. As Owr came closer, Icekit edged closer to Louanne. 

Owr just snuffled Icekit's fur then sat down, uttering a gentle 'urf.' 

Seeing Owr was friendly, Icekit calmed down and pawed Owr on the snout. 

The black wolf cub just rolled over on the floor and 'urf'd again. 

It wasn't long before the two were playing on the floor.

Joshua was smiling through Owr's little episode... but his smile faded. He looked around to everyone in the room.

"Are we ready to go?"
