I tend to go out of my way to avoid learning too much about the story of games/movies/books I want before hand
LOL, I can't help myself. Sometimes I check out as much as I can on a game I'm not sure about buying and that usually sways me. However, with pokemon they did really well this time, as normally due to the different release dates I accidentally spoil the game. Couldn't do that this year!

Hey,

Yeah, I just have a horrible habit of doing that. Doesn't help that most of the games I spoil have been out for quite a while by the time I look at them, so there's lots of stuff about them all over the web already.
And, yes, I called the internet "the web". Even I'm somewhat embarrassed.

Also, as I said before, most of the games I spoil were first classified as game "I might want to play", so I wasn't sure of them at the time. The time in the process where I really did want to get them was while I was in the process of majorly spoiling them, so there was nothing I could really do at that point. Yay.

Hi! That's what reviews are for, Poison. You can learn about the game without spoiling much (if any) of it.

Today was busy, but I got a whole lot done. Made Hamentaschen, finished the final for that class, got almost caught up with grading, and got my Vita switched over to a 64GB memory card. Now I just need to do all my packing and that last bit of grading by the end of Sunday...

stupid EU censor laws.

In the UK we can watch all the South Park episodes uncensored, but the EU has different rules, so when the PS3 game came out in the EU half the content was censored. Some of the best mini games where cut,

If I had know it would have been so heavily censored I would have imported the US copy.

Either way though, I had as fun weekend playing it. Surprisingly deep for a South park game, and very funny.

Hi! I made it San Francisco ok. GDC starts tomorrow so I spent the afternoon over in Japan Town. It's considerably less impressive these days than when I first came now that I've got Honolulu and Japan itself to compare it to, but still fun. And hey, I got some cool stuff at Kinokuniya (the Japanese bookstore), so no complaints there.

Right. So I was browsing the internet the other day when I came across this somewhat frightening movie poster.

Needless to say, I was quite intrigued by the creepy-ass looking dude on the cover. I looked up the movie on Wikiped, and - I kid you not - the first paragraph of the plot synopsis reads as follows:
The plot revolves around the titular Smiley killer, the subject of an Internet myth. Supposedly, if a person on a ChatRoulette-style website types the phrase 'I did it for the lulz' three times, their chat partner will be murdered by a killer called Smiley, so named because he mutilated his own face by stitching his own eyes shut and carved his mouth into a smile.
I... Just... I have no words. I spent a good five minutes laughing at the sheer absurdity of the premise and the fact that a movie with such a freaky-looking poster turned out to be some idiotic ripoff of the Bloody Mary myth.

Also, the movie has Shane Dawson and Tobuscus in it, so there's that.

EDIT: Wait, it gets better/worse:
A college student named Ashley (Gerard) becomes friends with Proxy (Papalia), along with her friends Zane (Allen), Mark (Turner), and Binder (Dawson), who is mocked by his classmates for having reported a case of pedophilia, earning him the nickname "Pedobear".

Hi! With any luck I'll have KotF winners posted in an hour or two.

Today was a weird day. It was my last day in San Francisco (still is, I guess, since I'm in the airport right now) and I got to tour Alcatraz (which was awesome, expect a travelogue later this week) and generally had a good time. On the flip side, in a bit of extremely bad luck, my dad tripped (on a perfectly normal sidewalk, apparently) and landed in a way that broke his knee (fortunately, it'll heal in a few weeks, so at least it wasn't anything horribly serious). Because of that, my mom, who was supposed to fly to Orlando tonight and spend a few days with me at Disney, had to cancel her flight. It's too last minute to get all our money back for stuff, and I need to fly out of Orlando early Friday morning to go to my Grandma's birthday party anyway (which my parents will likely also miss), so I decided it would be less trouble to just do the trip myself. Though I'm seeing if any of my friends in the area want to come (iffy, since their spring break is already over). So yeah, I had fun in San Francisco today, and I'm glad my dad wasn't hurt worse, but annoyed at his horrible timing screwing up so much stuff (not just the Disney trip, but my Grandma's party and a whole lot of stuff my parents had planned as well). Honestly, a couple weeks, or even a few days, sooner or later and it wouldn't be much of a problem (well, it'd still be horribly inconvenient for him, but it wouldn't have screwed up so many plans).

Hey,

I had a sleepy weekend. Not that I was not getting enough sleep. The exact opposite actually. I got tons of sleep. Last night...not so much. I have learned, however, that the less REM cycles I get per night, the more mentally awake, and unfortunately exhausted, I feel in the morning. Basically, if I want to do some math problems in the morning, I should sleep for 6 to 1 1/2 hours, but if I want to go for a run, I should instead sleep for 9+ hours. Yeah, science!

In other news, it's still cold here. In fact, it was snowing this morning. It's not suppose to get out of the 30's all week. Spring, you say? What's that?

Also, recently I have been wanting to relive my childhood and watch some DB or DBZ, for old times sake, and it seems I can find both on netflix...not for instant streaming, but they are there none the less! I foresee some awesome, albeit sometimes long and drawn out, fights and good old fashion fun in my future.

Stay radical people!

Heya Guys,

Recently I have been able to catch some Digimon Fusion of TV. I gotta admit, its actually pretty good. I prefer it to Digimon Data Squad anyway, that thing was a mess. Anyone else catch any of this season of Digimon?

As far as I can tell we are only getting season 1. Some of the stuff is pretty funny and well animated too.

Hi! I'm having fun at Disney and tomorrow it'll be off to my Grandma's birthday party in a much colder part of the country. Not much else to say, other than I finally broke down and did the build your own light saber thing. I've wanted one of those for years...

So I'm just here to say that I'm not going to be here for the next two weeks due to an operation. Bye!

Hi! I only got one, and it's not nearly as fancy as those, but it's still cool. It lights up and has all the sound effects and everything! Maybe I'll post a picture with one of my travelogue entries...

Anyway, I'm in Boston now for my Grandma's birthday party for the last phase of my trip. It's been fun, but it'll be nice to get back to my place.

Hey,

Well, lightsabers are nice and all but if I could I would totally get a bat'legh. Not as flashy as a lightsaber, but still pretty dang cool. Not sure how legal it is in NY though...

Also, yesterday I was going to post about how the weather around here has gotten a bit warmer (it was almost in the 60s), but I can throw that out the window as it is currently snowing outside. Gosh dang it, northern hemisphere...Make up your mind!
