Hey,

Oh, I actually enjoy endless games. They're a good way to waste a boring weekend or a few hours you have to spare. Also, you can feel free to put them down at any time...you know, if you feel like it.

Also, oh gosh. Cookie Clicker. I seem to get into it for a week or so, eventually forget about it, and then a few weeks later get right back into it again in some kind of endless cycle. Doesn't help that it's constantly updating and has seasonal events that make me want to go back to it every so often just to see what's new. Also, you can do a soft reset and start right back at the beginning and try to get some of the harder achievements and there are these shadow achievements and...and...
Yeah, you can tell I'm in one of those weeks...

Eh heh heh...yeah...I need to get to bed.

Hi! Ugh, I'm tired today. Spent all of yesterday at work thanks to that class (almost done, finally) and then decided to play a little Lightning Returns when I got back to get something fun in. But I kinda ended up in this big challenging dungeon and didn't really want to stop before I reached the end so I stayed up way later than I should have. Not a good idea when I have work the next morning...

Endless games are my weakness. I love them. Y'know, if 400 hours in Animal Crossing didn't give that away.

Back in the day, Harvest Moon, Monster Rancher, Chao Garden, and Zoo Tycoon, all ate up waaaay too much of my time.

That's why I'm terrified to open up Terraria...
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! I probably don't need to avoid them as much as I do since, as I mentioned before, I tend to get bored of them after a while. I usually end up going until I hit a lot of the big goals, but just don't feel too much of a drive to keep playing after that.

Anyway, it's Thursday and I'm glad since it means the work week is almost over. I don't think I'll be doing anything too exciting this weekend but I may head over to the local Pokémon league for the first time in a month or so now that my team is mostly done (a couple still need me to earn enough BP for their hold items, and none are at level 100 yet, but I have a couple team configs that are ready to go in competitive battles). And hey, maybe this will be the week I get a PS4. Or maybe not. I could get one any time between now and the very start of April since I want to play MGS Ground Zeros ASAP, but will be traveling from the day it releases until the end of March.

I hear that. I stayed up till 1am last night watching the third Big Momma movie....man it was terrible LOL. I'm thinking of re-ev training my Vapoeron, I went a little overboard on speed and HP and it defence is SO weak. I ddi however finally breed a shiny ditto, but its IVs are terrible, only 1 perfect in HP. Still, i may train it up to use in game.

I'm currently training up a Togepi and breeding for good IV Marills. I've got Snubbull in my friend Safari so I'm taking advantage of it! Coincidentally, if anyone wants Modest/Serene Grace Togepi, Adamant/Huge Power Marill, or a 5IV Snubbull, let me know. I've got plenty...

Hi! I got the last of the hold items I needed for my team over the weekend. All I really need to do now is finish getting them to level 100. I haven't decided on best configurations yet (I trained 11 Pokémon), but that's something I'll probably be playing with for a long time.

I suggest holding that tournament that was mentioned a while back, but with GDC next week and spring break after that, I really couldn't do it until next month.

That was supposed to be shiny Eevee as you can't breed ditto this gen.

I need two focus sashes for my baton toss team and to EV train HP and defence into my Vaperon then I'm done, so a month is good for me to do a competition. My issues is I only have 6 competitive pokemon and I would like a interference team, I have a Yamask and Nobat with switchroo already but I need a hard hitter and something to replace whimsicott on my main team as I plane to move it over to the stall team.

Hi! You do realize that pretty much every tournament format bans you from using multiple copies of the same hold item, right? It's fine for casual play, but if you're making a competitive team, you'll only get to use one Focus Sash.

Today is finally the last day of that class I'm taking! Though I'll still have a test to do online before the end of the week. And I have to go to work extra tomorrow since I've got a meeting to attend. And then I'm going to have to put in some extra time to try and catch up on grading (which I'm still behind on thanks to that class). -.- Well, as long as I can get everything done before I leave for GDC...

That I did not. I'm not planning to go to competitions, and I have never been to any. I am more making the team to battle my friends and random match ups online TBH. Guess I better get ride of my extra leftovers as well.

Hi! If you go against friends, they might be ok with it. But it is a fairly standard rule (even Battle Maison enforces it).

Got around it using a focus sash and focus band and a shell bell on my Greninja and toxic sludge on my tentacruel, which is actually better as no one will want to steal it, so I'm all good. My team is actually winning me some battles LOL, 6 nill to me against my boyfriend. Nothing better than beating a Lugia with a Whimsicott LOL

Hey,

I have a feeling my school district has not been quite right in the head recently. Yesterday we had a big snow storm blow over, causing anywhere from 10 to 17 inches of snowfall in various parts of the state. Everyone expected that the district would not cancel school, but, to be nice, all after school activities and such would be cancelled and everyone would have a heck of a time getting home.
Nope. School was indeed cancelled. No complaints there, a day off is fine with most students. Now, today, school is cancelled again. Two days in a row. This is where I start to worry about the mental health of the district people as this is not something they normally do. In my school district, we are pretty good about continuing on with school as usual even when everyone else in the area doesn't.
Once again, no complaints, but it's just seems rather weird.

Also, as I was lying in bed, trying to enjoy my extra day off but finding it difficult after downing a cup of coffee already, I had a bit of an epiphany. I have a horrible habit of ruining games for myself.
Basically, when I find a game that sounds interesting that I might want to play (but not buy yet because I'm not one to go out any buy games willy-nilly) my brain files it under "games I might want to play" and promptly forgets about it. After some time, one of two things happen:
A) I hear about the game again on a post, article, video, or from one of my friends and regain my curiosity in it, or,
B) While doing a mental check, my brain comes across it again and wonders whether it really should remain in the "games I might want to play" section.
Then come the game-ruining part. Due to my curiosity, I'll look for somebody doing a let's play of it or see if someone I'm subscribed to on YouTube has played and recorded it. As I'm watching, I may hear a tid-bit of information that catches my attention and I'll go to look it up, normally on some wiki. Through that, I find more interesting information and go to inspect them as well. This continual seeking of new information fractals out until I've learned so much about the game, I know more than the average player know about the game, its characters, locations, and major plot points.
And you know what? After this, I don't feel as much need to play the game anymore as, due to my knowledge of all things story and plot related, all that's left to learn about is the game play, and I know I don't play many games for the game play. I mainly play for story and plot, all of which is now ruined.
I have ruined many a game for myself this way, and I will probably continue to even after this epiphany. At the very least, I'll still be able to enjoy those few games that, even though I do know a lot about them, are mostly played for the game play, or you have some degree of choice in how you play them.

Yipes, I went on a bit of a romp there, didn't I? Been a while since I've done that. Probably due to that coffee I had this morning but a lack of school work to focus the following caffeine rush on. Whoops.

So, uh, yeah. End of rant. Stay radical people.

LOL, I do that too, with movies as well. I nearly ruined the ending of the new South Park game for myself yesterday, managed to press pause on the video before I spoiled too much.

Hi! I tend to go out of my way to avoid learning too much about the story of games/movies/books I want before hand. It's more fun to get the full experience than read a summary or watch someone else play.

Nothing too exciting on my end. Just trying to get caught up on grading (which I'm behind on cause of that class) before I leave for GDC in a few days.
