Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Ugh, tomorrow (or today, I guess) my mom is taking me to get some fancy senior pictures taken. I've never been the most photogenic person ever, plus I don't really like getting my picture taken all that much. I just don't really know what to do. I know you're supposed to smile and look nice and stuff, but my smile always (and I mean always) has been awkward. I normally just end up smirking or something or not smiling at all. I also have no idea what to do with my hands, so I normally just end up putting them in my pockets. Ugh, the small things in life. They always get to me!
So, nothing much else going on. Just chilling. Trying not to get eaten by mosquitoes. The usual...yep.
Stay radical, people! Peace off!

Hey.
Senior pics are just an awkward experience. I really dislike posing for photos in a normal, smile-y way... making silly faces at the camera is my forte. Don't worry, at least at my senior pics, they told me what to do with my hands and how to pose and whatever.
Also, Shauni, that's so cool!
I've also been experiencing the heat wave. Blech. At least it cooled down over the past few days.
I also feel it noteworthy to mention that one of the Cornell trumpet alums is nicknamed Gar. Any relation, perhaps?

Hi! I've been in Phoenix for the last few days and will be here for about another week. It's nice to be out of the humidity and, while I love going all over the place touring, it's nice to take it easy for a little while as well, especially now that I got that story finished.

Moi,
Hey, I survived my senior pictures! To be honest, it wasn't that bad. I still dislike getting my picture taken, but at least the photographer was pretty cool. We found out we shared an interest in Star Trek and agreed on who the best captain was (Picard, now and forever), so that was awesome.
Also, after that, I went to a graduation party for a friend of my god-brothers (who has also been my friend for a very long time). I had a good time there, talked with some other people I knew very well there. Had a good time overall.
So yeah. Pretty good day...And now I have to get to bed so I can get up to do that bike volunteer thing again tomorrow. Woo.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Y'know now that I'm actually thinking about this... how are you supposed to greet someone that you've known since you were twelve but you've never actually met? Is that like a formal handshake and a nice to meet you sort of thing, or is a yo what's up casual wave acceptable? Do I need to do both? In which order?
Besides that, when seeing someone you've known since you were twelve for the first time who's pretty much your best friend, and who realistically speaking you're never going to see again, it seems logical to spend as much time with them as possible, but that also sounds creepy and disturbing. What is the appropriate level of clinginess that doesn't seem distant but also isn't... stalker-ish?
Fudge Crackers. This is complicated.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! XD Yeah, meeting online friends can be kinda awkward. I met a pen pal in real life once a long time ago, and there's a friend I mostly got to know online before hanging out together in real life (though I did briefly meet him in real life first)... From that limited experience, I'd say acting fairly casual is the best way to go. As for spending time together... I mean, at an event or outing or something, hanging out with friends is generally more fun than going around alone, so I can't see much of a problem there as long as you want to do similar stuff. As long as you don't end up acting like this, you'll probably be ok.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
To meet one of you guys in real life would be so cool my brain would explode with rainbows and magic and excitement.
Anyway, I'm really sick and done with work. It was okay for the first month or so, but recently my task has been "I don't know if this is actually possible to program, but we need a code that does this." which has been frustrating, to say the least, especially considering I learned the language I'm working with about a week ago.
Also, I miss staying up late at night which is why I haven't gone to bed yet. Though what I really miss is staying up late at night with friends hanging around the dorm complaining about our insane amount of homework Cornell come baaaaaaaaaaaaaack.
Oh, and in case you've been missing your dosage of Saber's Way Too Dramatic (But Not Really, Saber Just Needs To Get A Life) Soap Opera, in tonight's episode, Saber glances through Cheryl's pictures of her trip to India to see that Gladys was not tagged in any of the photos she was in! A quick check through Cheryl's friends later (because facebook brings out the creepy stalker in all of us) shows that Cheryl and Gladys are no longer facebook friends. Dun dun DUNNNNN.
But yeah. I really don't feel like sleeping right now. Partially because I love the night, and partially because the past few nights have had nasty dreams that I really don't feel like returning to. Maybe I'll go play on my keyboard. Or just continue thinking out loud to this forum post. Yeah. Maybe I'll do that.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Well, I feel good about myself! My little cat decided to bring in a present: another bird, alive. Luckily, it didn't look all that hurt and for being cornered by a cat, it was pretty calm. I managed to shoo my cat away, capture the bird in a towel, and release it outside. I am the savior of birds...at least when they're in the house.
So...for the past few days, I've been having really strange dreams. Probably from the Melatonin I've been taking to help get to sleep (not that I can't sleep, I just need a little persuasion to get to bed). At least most of the dreams are either fun or wacky enough that I don't mind them. Also, it seems that, at least for the past two days, the dreams seem to "continue" in a way. They seem to occur in the same "world" or something. Seeing how often I've been remembering my dreams, I might try (keyword: try) to have a lucid dream in the oncoming days.
Oh, and one last thing. I found a fun little "game" a few weeks ago. It's called "GeoGuesser". Basically, using Google street view, you get dropped in five random places somewhere in the world and you have to guess where you are, earning you points for however close your guess was. You can play it yourself, or challenge a friend (with or without a time limit) using the 'create challenge' button. And, trust me, it isn't always that easy. Especially when you choose not to look up cities using some search engine. I once was dropped somewhere in a mountainous area, snow everywhere, and I have very little room to move around in. I guessed Greenland, but it turns out I was somewhere in the mountains in south Asia. Ugh...
In any case, my highest score was around 11,000 points. If anyone's looking for a challenge, I'm (almost) always ready. *Does cheesy fighting pose*
And...I've run out of things to babble on about. Thank goodness, 'cause I need to get to bed.
As always, stay radical people! Peace off!

Aloha!
Donated to PV today, just so you know to check Josiah, haha.
In other news, Otakon is quickly approaching, and my top hat is still in the mail. This is...troubling.

Hey.
One more week of work, one week of chilling at home, then back to Cornell for me!
Also, watching my sister play Ocarina of Time is highly amusing.

Well, if all else fails, I have a foam top hat from the kids craft section of Micheal's... it won't look great, but it's better than going hatless. A gentleman always wears a hat, you know.

Hi! Wait... Are you guys going as Layton and Luke? Because that would be awesome.
My friend's wedding is tomorrow. Let's just hope it doesn't rain (which it might) since they have absolutely no contingency plan...

Aloha! Weddings are fun. I unfortunately just had to miss an aunt's wedding due to work, actually.
And, yes, that is the case, haha. In fact, tomorrow I intend to negotiate the purchase of some puzzles to carry around.

I felt like a bit of a change with my avatar, and I really liked Syveon in that last pokemon video, leaning over to view the player, it looked really cute.

Hi! Leaving for PA in a few hours. It's an overnight flight, which I probably won't be able to sleep on and coming after a 10 hour or so drive (interrupted by a flat tire). Not the greatest day...
In better news, I'm not able to announce that the game I wrote those tie-in novellas for is EverQuest Next, which is looking to be a potentially revolutionary MMO! My stories should be showing up on the ebook section of their web site sometime in the not too distant future.
