I assume waiters and waitresses earn at least minimum wage over there
Indeed they do, but I think some in really classy places are on better wages than me, so no tips for yooouu!
whenever I've come across an opponent to gay marriage, I just think to myself, "they arn't bigots, just ignorant. It's not their fault."
Before I even begin with a reply to Giga-Gar post, I just want to state I'm for Gay marriage. I think you should be able to marry who you want.

However, you can't just say that someone that don't agree with you is ignorant in this case. Some people have very valid reasons to be against Gay marriage, and you need to respect there right to disagree with something as much as you respect someone else's right to agree with it.

Some people don't have an issue with giving Gay people the same rights as a legally married couple, like a civil partnership we have here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_part ... ed_Kingdom

What most people have a problem with is calling it a "marriage" and to be fair, I can understand. Religion is meeting politics here, and in the eyes of some religions, marriage is a religious commitment before a legal one. I get that Gay people want to get married, and call it a marriage. I truly understand, but I can also understand why so may people have an issue with it.

I think Gay marriage should be excepted on a legal side, but you can't really force a religion to except it. It is something that needs to be worked out by those people who believe it. Forcing them to do so will only make it worse.

Aloha! Have fun, Josiah!

In other news, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is really very fun, although I miss the large mansion and portrait ghosts.

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.

So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

Hey.

The new board works just fine for me, Josiah!

In other, non-rainbow news, I've got an indoor drumline competition this weekend, so that should be fun, since our show is actually finished now. I'm also joining the marching band's intramural softball team, which should be a lot of fun. Haven't played softball in two years, but it used to be my favourite sport. Hopefully I can actually still throw and catch and bat...

Salvete

Well then, that was quite interesting.

So, now that I only need my Rue and Asafoetida, I'm just about set to have a proper roman dinner, starting with a honey baked ham for Easter. Kinda funny, having Roman food for a Christian holiday, but oh well.

Hi! Gar, I have one word for you. Constantine. Rome and Christianity have a very long history, a lot of which was good.

Speaking of food, I'm on lunch break and am trying Phillipino food. It's not bad, though it's not going to become a new favorite either.

Side note, if you PM'd me for unrated forum access, I'll add you tonight when I'm on my computer instead of my phone.

My middle name is the feminine form of Constantine. When people ask my middle name, I always give a trivia question about Constantine so I can see if they can deduce it themselves. If not... THEN THEY DON'T DESERVE TO KNOW MY MIDDLE NAME

UGH it's also course selection time and course selection is SCARY to an undecided engineer because I need to pick a major track to get on BUT I'M SO INDECISIVE THIS IS BAD. Slash I also really wanna take a music theory course, but the course description is all "needs to be taken as a co-requisite with musicianship. Intended for music majors" and I'm all I JUST WANNA LEARN MUSIC THEORY and there're so many cool psych classes but Adult Psychopathology is all "you need to take another psych class first. Spring only" and Social Cognition is all "BRO you need to be a junior or a senior" BOO

Oh, and I guess I should figure out the engineering courses I'm taking, too.
May the Triforce be with you.

Oh I know, Roman Catholic Church and the like but I'm just saying, this is from Rome's pagan days, back when they were subjugating Jews and crucifying Jesus and persecuting Christians. The whole "Constantine made Rome Christian" thing isn't true. Rome was still very much pagan during and after Constantine's rule, Christianity just got a pretty big foothold because of him.

Also, Nutella is now a guilty pleasure of mine.

Hi! Yeah, Constantine was just a start. Interestingly, Roman was essentially responsible for Christianity becoming its own religion (as opposed to a branch of Judaism) due to the Fiscus Judaicus tax.

If you notice that the post count decreased, that's because it did. Because I moved the recent discussion over to the Unrated section. Just so no one gets worried about Time Warps or anything.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Did I? The post moving system is kind of a pain, I've gotta check them each off individually and I may have missed some when scrolling through. But I did deliberately skip a few of the early ones that weren't all about the LGBT issues, since that would leave gaps in the conversation here, plus they didn't cross any lines.

Hi! Yeah, moving individual posts isn't all that easy to do.

Last day of GDC over here, and it ends early so I'm planning to head over to Japan Town afterwards for some shopping and Japanese food.

Hey.

Mainly posting to see if my title is still there.

Also I do like the idea of an unrated section.

Bluh. This cold air sucks. What also sucks is my parents going camping for the weekend. On the bright side though I got to watch Dredd last night on Blu-ray.
