Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! It's the last day of KotF. It's also the last day to enter the last bonus challenge. There's a bunch of points sitting there to be won! As a note, since I'll be leaving tomorrow to go to the Game Developers' Conference and will likely be fairly busy while I'm there, it may take me a while to add up all the points, get the award image made, and the like. I'll try to announce the winners sometime this week, don't be too surprised if it slips into next week.

I drew one up during class. Just gotta get home to scan it. Hopefully I'll be able to get another done during Senior Sem.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I wish the bonus challenges weren't all art-related.
Aloha! Can we get a preview of who's ahead in the current post-count? So I can bite my nails?

We had one that wasn't. It was related to getting old members to come back (sort of). Unfortunately, you missed that one.
Besides, I got points in the last one for this, just because no one else entered...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Goodness, I leave for a week or so to catch up on school work and YouTube videos, and suddenly everyone decides to come back for KotF! Well, hello to anyone that I may or may not know that has returned.
So, I suspect that I lost my, at least, third place rank since I've been gone. What a shame. I doubt I'll be able to gain that back by any means possible, so...Aw, to heck with it. I'll still stick around. Besides, ever since I came here, I've always self-titled myself Baron of the forums whenever KotF came around. Why give up that tradition now?
So, not much has happened on my end since I took my little break. I do seem to have gotten a rather nasty art block, though. Every time I try to draw something, I look at it and go "Eehhh...I could do better" and forget about it. I suppose I need some motivation or inspiration or something. Maybe I should take up painting for a bit...I don't know. Hopefully, I'll think of something soon.
Also, on the bus ride home from school I was thinking about plurals. You know how cactus becomes cacti, and radius becomes radii? I was wondering: How far do you take that rule? Is the plural of octopus "octopi", or "octopuses"? If Samus makes clones of herself, would they become "Sami"? If you have two buses next to each other, would they technically be called "bi"? How does changing a singular "us" into a plural "i" even make any sense? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Ugh, this is what happens when I have nothing to do on the bus...I over-think everything.
*Ahem* Anyway, stay radical, people! Dif-tor heh smusma.

Aloha! I have a forum issue. How the heck do I post a link, but link it through regular text. Like, link to a youtube video, but the link itself just appears as "look at this cool video!"? I can't find any way to do it, and it's really frustrating me.

what you want to say
I've been a bit on a cooking obsession lately, specifically with Roman food. It's also quite expensive, seeing as how I need Savory, Lovage, Rue, Asafoetida, soft set honey, and fish sauce, none of which I can find in the US. TO AMAZON!

Hi! Hey Gar, I don't know where you live but some of that stuff may not be as hard to find as you think. Health food stores (especially big ones like Whole Foods) tend to have excellent selections of herbs and spices. You may even be able to find an actual spice store if you look. Fish sauce is easy enough to grab in an Asian grocery story (or any store with a decent Asian section (check large grocery and health food stores)). As for asafoetida, it's used in some Indian dishes, so you might be able to find it at an Indian grocery. If you're in a large city, you probably have access to all the above places. If not, you still might depending on the size of the ethnic population near you.

Well, I live in Memphis, but when it comes to the health food stores, my rule of thumb is that it's very expensive for the quantity of food you get. Although, I guess I could ask one of the waiters at the Indian restaurant I go to where they get their asafoetida.

In any event, buying locally would save you on shipping. Looking around and comparing the prices can't hurt.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Why does Monday have to be my no break day? I have a half-finished comic that I'll hopefully be able to finish after my rehearsal which is after my meeting which will start in like 2 minutes.
Feeling off today, unfortunately. Probably because spring break is over, but also just kinda feeling empty again. I need to stop letting seeing my ex's ex trigger me into the empty feeling. Because I'm over her, it's just that seeing my ex's ex (names would really make things so much easier) reminds me of how hurt I was, which then leaves me upset.
Yeesh, I'm gonna get a reputation for being super angsty and not-able-to-let-go-y, aren't I? I promise I'm not like that in real life... I just need somewhere to vent, and somewhere where people can decide to roll their eyes and skip over the text is better than forcing my friends to sit through yet another angsty rant.

Aloha! Just make a pseudonym for your ex and her ex. (I got the sex right there, right?)
So your ex is...Cheryl, and her ex is....Gladys.

Hey.
I dig. Those are the names I'll be running with from now on until I forget them. Or maybe I'll be able to not have another problem again and won't even have to bother with the names!
Wishful thinking.

Greetings
Currently watching One Piece while working on assingments. ^_^ I think its distracting me to much, but it must be watched.
As for tipping, it's not actually all that common in Australia. Unless you work in a pub its very rare. I don't get food delivered very often but I have tipped a couple on occasion. And generally the company/shop pays for any fuel used, and thats usually included in the price for your meal.
