Moi,

First quarter of the school year is over, thank goodness. The last week or two before the end of the quarter is so hectic. Trying to get your grade up if it's a bit low, handing in any missed or late assignments, etcetera, etcetera. I can only guess that it's just as bad for the teachers, having to get all of those grades in and such. At least I won't have to worry about this again for another nine weeks.

I'm kind of liking Ceramics so far. The next project is making a ceramic box. We were told that we were to put a landscape that wraps around the outside of the box and, oh boy, do I have an idea that makes my stomach all warm and fuzzy. I have recently gotten very much into Minecraft (Though I have not purchased it yet, I do know a good deal about it), so I was thinking of doing a Minecraft related landscape around the box. I had gone though several ideas, but I think I finally have one that I really like. It's basically a cross section of a few cave systems and a mineshaft. This design will wrap around the outside of the box and on the top, as a handle of some sort, I'll make a little Nether portal. Due to the complexity of the design (I'm hoping to go into quite a bit of detail, including different ores and mobs and such) I'll probably have to do the details in acrylic paints. No shiny glaze for me. *slightly disappointed*

Ugh...I think the stress of the last quarter has finally caught up with me. I've recently been getting more migraines then is normal for me...Or maybe it's just because I didn't have my coffee this morning...

Well, anyway...Stay radical people! Peace off!

Speaking of relationships... finally coming out to everyone is scary. Whee. Every time I get a message from a family member I sit there praying it'll be good before I actually open it. Tad bit terrifying. Everything's gone swimmingly so far!

Hey.

Picking one of the most busy and stressful weeks I've had so far as the week to come out publicly was probably not the best decision. Did not really need that added stress of worrying how people will respond. Whee.

By the same token, every supportive message I receive from friends and family makes me feel incredible. I had a friend tell me that that "your story (though this may sound silly) gives me hope for the world." Not sure how I managed to do that, but it was really sweet. I really am very fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive and accepting group of people.

In other news, we're playing the University of Pennsylvania this weekend! One of my best friends from high school is in the Penn band, so he'll be coming up to 'nell for the game! I'm hosting him, so it should be super fun. I miss that kid and our shenanigans in high school. It'll be really nice to be able to hang out with him again.

Also: Random connection I just made. One of my girlfriend's exes real-life name is Saber. This is the ex that did drugs and was in a super abusive relationship with my girlfriend.

Random connections.

Cha!

I had to give my fish away last night. I'd had them for going on 5 years and I loved them, but they were getting to big and we didn't have room for a bigger tank. While we were getting our kitchen done I decided then was as good a time as any to find them a new home. A friend of mine from work has taken them in, and as he was asking about PH i'm guessing he can look after them better than I did LOL.

Here is a pic.

The fan tail got renamed floatzel after the pokemon cos he liked hanging out at the top of the tank, and the white fish is Silver, after his former silver (now white) scales and the forum member LOL. The regular Goldfish went from Golda to Bob and Golda again.

This pic is from when the tank was about to be transported, it was usually full of water (obviously) and they had some nice things to swim around.

Hi! This comic is so true.

In other news, the school schedule here (and most places in the US, I suppose) is a bit crazy. The college closed for Veteran's day this week. It's close again Wed - Friday next week for Thanksgiving. And then after that there's only one week before finals. Makes scheduling classes, assignments, and final projects a bit of a pain.

No idea what I'm going to do for Thanksgiving itself. The Japan club I hang out with is having a Thankgiving party on Sunday, but on Thanksgiving, most of the people I know will going home or whatever. My parents are in Hawaii right now and flying all the way over there just for Thanksgiving break would be expensive and fairly pointless since I'm going to visit them over winter break anyway. Originally my brother was planning to come out here and we'd hit some theme parks but plane tickets for those dates are way overpriced so we had to give up on that. There's still a chance some of my friends may end up staying here and we'll do something, but it's looking more likely that I'll either end up going to a theme park myself or staying home and doing a video game marathon. Not bad ways to spend a day, by any means, but it's still a little dissapointing.

I'm having quite the opposite problem, Josiah... I'll be going to Stevensonland for Thanksgiving as usual, it will be a great fun time and good and turkey and frolicking. Yes. But... I'm going to be working on Christmas! Apparently, the movie theater is the place to be on Christmas day. So I get to spend it there... fun times...
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Moi,

I'll try to get some pictures of my ceramic pieces up whenever I can. One still needs to be fired, one still needs to be glazed, and one is still in the "Oh god, working with wet clay is impossible" stage. But, yeah. Whenever I have the time and remember to bring my good camera to school, I'll get some pictures of 'em.

And, Josiah, I agree fully with that comic as well. Especially the inspiration part. I never get inspiration at the right time, ever...speaking of which, today I believe I found the absolute worst times for me to get inspiration to draw or write something during school.
The first would be gym because, during gym, I of course don't have any access to paper and pencils, and then afterwards, while I'm waiting for the next class to start, I'm too tired to sketch or write anything. Poof, idea gone.
The other bad time to get a good idea is during a math or science class. Why? By the time you get out a scrap piece of paper, make a quick sketch or write down a few words to remember the idea, put it in your backpack/folder, and look back up at the board, you've missed half of the lesson. On top of that, it was most likely the most important part. The part you need to know in order to finish your homework that's due the next day...Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything...

Uhm...yeah. Stay radical people! Peace off!

No Thanks Giving here, so just Christmas to look forward to.

It's my Mum's birthday next Wednesday, so we might be doing something for that.

Thank god its Friday, I've had a bad throat all week and its starting to take it out of me as I'm coughing all night.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Hi! I'm actually pretty good at getting writing, comics, and the like done whether I'm "inspired" or not. It's totally doable, just takes a lot more discipline.

if I've lost interest in something, I find my work is lack luster and not up to my standards. It's why I've stopped ROM until I can rekindle that flame, the comics were forced and just weren't good enough.

So, hi guys. It's been ages. Things aren't going better. Simply different. So to start off, new high school. Public now, like it much better than catholic, no reference to any religion now. Even as with a new start I still get the feeling I'm not a true part of everything, as if I'm more of an onlooker than a participant in society. It's not the people that put the wall of ice there, I did that a long time ago, I have friends, it's just that I find myself always knowing far more about other people than anyone has ever known about me. Again, I find myself unable to make small talk. So uhhhh, has anyone seen wreck-it-ralph or skyfall yet? Saw ralph, going to see skyfall later. So hasta luego I guess.
