As a side note, I think it's simply in the wrong genre to top any of the lists. The reason? Nearly all the top 100 free Kindle books are trashy looking romance novels. On top of that, most of the free fantasy and teen fantasy books ranked higher than Guardian were trashy looking supernatural (vampire, warewolf, etc.) romance novels.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Well, Guardian didn't get all that close to the top 100 free list on Kindle, but it got pretty high on the lists for free fantasy (in the 50's) and teen fantasy (at least 30) and got several good reviews and around 500 downloads. Hopefully that'll be enough to get a bit of momentum. I did sell several copies of both of the other books in the trilogy already, so that's something too. I think I can do another free promotion in 90 days and if I can pick up some more good reviews by then (hint, hint), it may do pretty well.

I'm thinking most Kindle owners are middle aged women with too much time on their hands...

Moi,
*Laughs at Josiah's comment about Kindle owners* Yeah, probably...
So, I had a fine time yesterday with my God-mother. My God-family is leaving for vacation today, so we also picked up some stuff for that yesterday. We walked around, looked at some various stores, and ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory (very nummy).
After that, we picked up my god-brother from the airport and talked about my computer and gaming conundrum. What he said is that instead of getting another system for games, I could get a gaming computer. They're a bit expensive for me right now, but it's possible I could save up and buy one that's not too bad. I'll try to get my other god-brother's opinion when he's feeling better (he hasn't been feeling too well this week).
After chatting for a bit about various other topics including Reddit and Minecraft, we dropped him off at a local hospital so he could visit his ex-girlfriend that he still stays in touch with (she recently got her appendix out and had some minor complications).
And then my god-mother dropped me off back at my house. I'd say I had a wonderful time chatting and such with my god-mother and seeing my god-brother again. And after all of that, going out shopping for my late birthday gift, what did I return home with? Bubbles.
Mission: accomplished.
Stay radical people! Peace off!

Hi! On a gaming computer vs. a console, I'll note that a decent gaming computer is going to cost a lot more than a console. Other than that, it depends what kind of games you want to play. A computer is much better it you want to play simulation games (The Sims, Sim City, etc.), RTS games (Starcraft, Age of Empires, etc.), or MMOs (World of Warcraft, The Old Republic, etc.). And both computers and consoles are more or less tied for FPS games. For all other genres though, consoles are the better choice both due to game selection and controls. Consoles are also much simpler since you don't have to install everything, update drivers, trouble shoot, etc. While I have a lot of PC games, with the exception of a couple genres, I highly prefer playing on a console due to the simplicity, controls, and being able to play on a TV. Also, most (if not all) of the best games in my favorite genres are exclusive to consoles.

Moi,
Oh boy...well, as I said, I'll talk to my god-brothers a bit more about this. Also, because my god-mother is so nice, she said that, whatever I get, she'll pitch in to help me pay for it.
So...I've been staying up for...a few hours more then a day...I think I'm at 29 hours right now.
You...you know...there's a certain point when you've stayed up so long, that you start to not feel tired anymore...but I know from experience that that point is when your mind gets a bit...weird. Weird as in you start to...see things and act a bit dazed.
Anyway, I'm going to try and get some sleep...maybe I'll draw a bit...

Hello! How's it going?
Wow! How long has it been? the last thing I remember is...I think somethingto do with Pikachu127, and that is the closest to today I can remember
I really am sorry for being gone this long, I am usually not that bad, so ummm... anything i missed?
I thought Snivy was a grass version of Cyndaquil, that's the reason for my nickname, oh yeah check out my Youtube channel, grassaquilUV. (easy to remember, isn't it?)
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Welcome back, grass. You missed the forum awards, though not much else.
I'm flying back to Colorado tonight. It's an overnight flight, which could be nice except that I can't sleep on planes. Guess I'll just have to play games all night (totally not a bad thing) and hope I'm not too tired tomorrow. At least it's a good flight (only one connection with a short layover).

...I really hope what made your day busy didn't involve attending the Batman premier...
You're really having bad luck with locations these days, Josiah. Face eaters in Florida and Batman shooters in Colorado... The scariest thing we've got here in NJ is the Jersey Shore. And Camden. And Trenton. Hmm... maybe it's not much better, actually...

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Well, at least I missed all the crazy stuff in Florida. Let's just hope it's all over and done with by the time I return there in mid-August. I missed the fires in Colorado too. After being in Japan for the big earthquake and Phoenix for the big dust storm last year, it seems that I'm doing a bit better this year (diasters are still happening where I live, but I'm avoiding them). Then again, I'll be back in Florida just in time for hurricane season so we'll see... Fortunately, the Batman shooting was in Denver, all the way on the other side of the state. Plus, after not getting any sleep on the plane, I don't think I could have stayed awake long enough to go to a midnight premier anyway.
That said, I do want to see Batman. Though I haven't seen Spiderman yet and who knows how much longer it'll be in the theaters so that'll probably come first.

Moi,
Gosh, that shooting during the new Batman movie has been all over the news. Yeah, when it comes to locations and bad situations, Josiah is like an Absol or something.
On the other hand, up here in New York, not much has been going on as far as I can tell. Dispite what most people probably think, we're honestly a pretty boring state. New York City? Seen it. Statue of Liberty? Done. Niagara Falls? Meh.
So, in news related to the new Batman movie, I actually just finished watching The Dark Knight a few hours ago (Yeah, seriously). A bit late, but at least I saw it. Now...I'm a bit of a Batman nerd, so of course for that movie, and most likely for the new movie, there will be commentary...Oh, will there be commentary.
...Yep...Stay radical people! Peace off!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I saw Spiderman yesterday. While I still think it was too soon for a reboot, I liked it. Though if I had to compare, I think I'd rank the first movie in the older Spiderman trilogy higher.
In other news, I got a job offer from Full Sail today. I knew they'd been considering me for a position for quite some time (I interviewed months ago) but the sudden offer was a bit unexpected. At the same time, the place where I'm currently working wants me back in in three weeks for the start of fall semester, though they haven't actually given me a contract yet. I haven't gotten the full details on the Full Sail position yet but the working environment looked pretty good when I was there and the people I'd be working with are closer to my age and very into video games (unlike my current job). And hey, it's in Orlando which is a much better location (though even hotter and muggier). I think the Full Sail job would pay a bit more too (though I don't know the actual salary yet), which is nice. On the down side, there's no summer vacation and there or even a winter break. From what I've heard, you only get two or three weeks of vacation a year and, unless you can get someone to cover your classes for you, you still have to do all your work while on vacation (so all they really let you do is work from somewhere other than your office for a couple weeks). As for the teaching and other responsibilities, there are some pros and cons of each position that I won't get into. Ugh... Thinking about this kind of stuff always stresses me out...

Just one more day... one more day of work, and then I get to leave for a week in Stevensonland! I love NJ and all, but... not during the summer. It'll be nice to get the hell out of here for a while...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! After getting more details and giving it some serious thought, I decided to turn down the Full Sail position and stay with Florida Gateway College for the next couple semesters. The fall semester could be rather crazy (six on campus classes, four of which I need to make a lot of new material for), but all in all it seemed like the better choice.

Hello there everyone! How are you all doing? It's time to celebrate....why? they ask WHY, because dear forum members, four years ago yesterday, the final post in the Time Warp section in the general section was made, bringing it to a close, I say that is worthy of a four-year anniversary! I got the cupcakes! Who's got the soda and party games?
