Today, I'm afraid, was just too much
With my poetic side, I'm quite out of touch
As a Lit major, I should take this in stride
But rhyming just makes me want to hide!

So should you encounter a Silver, beware!
Rhyming is something you just shouldn't dare
It's in my nature to give rhyming a miss
The thing makes me want to take a pis

tol to my head and fire a few rounds
Until all of the words become empty sounds
In the struggle to rhyme we forget what they mean
And by the end we've said something obscene

So many awful poems I've had to endure
My feelings on this matter are far from pure
I'd take all of your necks and wring them so tight...
If you weren't all far away and out of my sight

I ought to pretend that I just don't care
So my chances of winning it will not impair
But with all these poetics I just don't do well
On a day like this, it's like going to hel

The world's such a terrible, ugly place
I'm going to end up a total basket case

Oh, yeah? You think you're a potato? You haven't even SEEN a potato until you've looked at ME. I won the national "Best Looking Spud" contest back in '69! You looked at the cover of Tater magazine lately? Because I'm on top of ALL of them.

In other news, today I slayed a dragon. I used its liver as an engine to fly to space, then I had a party with some leprechauns. A pretty uneventful day, you know.

Oh, and by the way, I REALLY don't hate poetry. At all. I don't hate writing it or reading it or the very fact that it exists. That doesn't bother me one bit! And as a result, I'm not constantly impressed by the second to last stanza of that thing I wrote yesterday. Nope. Not impressed with myself at all. Because I'm a fragile, hormonal, frequently depressed girl, and I have no reason to be proud of myself anyway.

My chemistry lab is working perfectly right now! I don't have ridiculously screwed up data from a faulty pressure probe, or anything! Nooo, all the data is wonderful, and I shall finish it after I've finished planting orange trees in my family orchard!

So you're probably thinking why I'd be going to bed so early tonight at 11:30? Well, somebody in my group project did their share of the work so freakishly well, but then she flushed it down the toilet, along with her brain. So that leaves moi, tonight, doing her part of the work while she sits in her boyfriend's car making out with him. This is so much fun! If only everybody can do their share of flushing their hopes and dreams down the toilet!

On that note, wouldn't it be awesome if we all saw Mr. T rap battle Mr. Rogers? My money's so totally on Mr. Rogers! He ain't gonna pity no foo in no Roger's neighborhooood!

Today was an absolutely beautiful day! The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, it was warm, and the birds were singing! It was so nice that I decided to walk home from school, and simply marvelous idea it was! I got home feeling great, not soaked to the bone at all from any rain, and ready to finish up my little bit of homework that I got during school. I finished it up really quickly and had enough time to take a little nap! And, Yowza!, what a great day it was! Yessiree!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be getting to bed so I can be well rested and feeling great when I wake up in the morning! Stay tubular man!...men!...dudes...yeah...
