Moi,
Yeah, never a good idea to wear long sleaves on stage if your going to be staying there for a while. I learned that many-a-times.
Wow, school ends on June 16th for you, Puyon? Is that the last day of classes, or school in gerneral? For my school, techninally, out last day is June 23rd, which is the last day of finals/tests/etc. (and the day before my birthday) Our last day of classes is June 10th (or 14th, can't remember which...). So yeah, I was busy last week with Review packets, and, most likely, I will also be busy this week.
In other news: Bored, homework, and working on fan-fiction.

Hey.
Just got back from my AP Physics B exam. Multiple choice was easier than expected. The free response, on the other hand... the free response kicked my butt. It still hurts.
One more exam left! Whoo! AP Stats, prepare to be DESTROYED!

I'm not usually into the whole catgirl thing, but I actually kind of want this. It seems really entertaining.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Ended up getting a phone call yesterday from another university that wants to interview me for a position. That's three in rather short succession (the first was about a week ago and I didn't get it, the second I interviewed for yesterday, and I'll be interviewing for this new one next week). Teaching isn't my top choice for a job, but I'm qualified, it'd still be game related, and I'd be free to work on my own projects outside of work so it would be bad. The interesting thing is that each of these schools is a regular college / university just starting up a game design program. Seems that everyone is doing that these days (I've seen lots of job postings for similar positions besides the ones I interviewed for). Some schools seem to have a decent idea of what such a program entails, or at least trying hard to learn, while others appear to have no idea about what they're doing. I've seen way to many job postings wanting someone who is skilled in game design, several programming langauges, and all sorts of high level 3D modeling techniques. Thing is, most people only have one of those skills, maybe two. And the rare person that's actually skilled in all three is going to be in such high demand in the actual game industry that he won't be interested in a teaching job. They don't pay well enough for that.
On a totally different topic, if those cat ears are easy to control, I think they're pretty much guarenteed to be a huge hit in Japan. Much better than the brainwave video game controllers I've tried.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Argh. It's so humid...and, of course, I decided to wear a black fleece jacket and a black t-shirt today. >_>
So...I was in...quite an awkward situation at the end of school today. Me and my friends were just goofing around outside the library (You're allowed to walk around and do stuff during free periods, so most of the time, we just hand around outside the library in our school), and once the last bell rang, we all walked downstairs to the buses, when on of my guy friends grabs my head, pulls me aside, and starts bringing me to his locker to get his 3DS. Along the way, he said he wanted to ask me out. I was so embarrassed and surprised that I sort of clamed up. I was wondering if he was being serious or not. I told him I'm not quite ready for the whole boyfriend thing, and he was perfectly fine with it. I guess that moment passed over quickly 'cause after we met up with our other friends, we went right back to our normal selfs. It still is a bit weird, but I guess that would be normal. Also, realize that I've never gotten asked out before, or thought to ask out anyone myself either. Highschool = first time for everything, I guess.
Oh yeah, tomorrow is my friend's birthday. I told her I'd get a present for her by Monday, but I have no idea what to get her. Maybe I'll just go the (lazy) route of drawing her something. Maybe I'll even ink and color it.
In other news: Dying of heat, and really want to play some video games.

Hi! It's nice having a swimming pool again.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Aw those ears are cute! But yeah, I can't think of a situation in which I'd need to wear them. Maybe I could be a cat for halloween or something :P.
Aw, that's also cute Poison. I don't know if I can give you any advice, cause I suck at these things :P. But I think you did the right thing. Gotta go with your gut feeling.
That's cool that you're getting job offers Josiah! Even if they're not your top choice, it's probably nice to know your skills are in demand :D
And hang in there, Saber! My testing finished a week ago and trust me, it'll be great when it's finally over and done with. Takes a while to get used to not having homework every day though :P.

Hi! Job interviews are a bit different than job offers, though they might lead to them.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey!
Wow, I haven't posted here since AP Stats? Huh! Well, anyway, I destroyed it no problem :P It feels sooooo good to have those tests done! We're having our stats final now, tho (seniors only have like 2 weeks left of school, so since the class is senior-dominant, we need to have the final now)... it's still rather easy. We did half of it yesterday, and it was harder than the AP open response... but she's gonna scale it and I have such a high A in that class that I'm not worried at all.
And then my US class decided to throw two projects and a test-grade-seminar at me... all yesterday. Tomorrow's the seminar, I have to research corruption in the Bush administration and why charges weren't persecuted like they were against Clinton (if anyone's got any ideas, that'd be awesome, because all I can think of is the election of 2000...). By Friday I have to write a paper about two people in American history: One who is overrated, and one who is underrated. For over, I DESPERATELY wanted to do Christopher Columbus because I hate him so much... but I feel like other people will pick him 'cos it's just TOO EASY, so I'm goin' with Abe Lincoln. Great guy, but overrated in many aspects. Still great, just overrated. For under, I'm thinking La Follette... I wasn't gonna do him because I was like "he's too popular" but then I realized that was just among my friends... Yeah.
And our final project is to review a film about history and analyze the historical accuricies/innacuracies... Well, of course the first one that popped into my head was this. I'm such a musical nut. Hope she approves of it. Should be fun. >:)
Oh, and creating a trombone from PVC for my physics project... even with all of this, I'm still rather relaxed since AP tests are over :P

Hi! Wow Saber, your history teacher sounds rather biased there. I don't think Bush's administration was particularily corrupt. Though I'm not sure sure about some of the people in Obama's... So yeah, I'm afraid I can't help you there. Even when it comes to the ellection, I heard a lot more reports about fraud on the Democratic side than the Republican side...
Anyway, work is underway on my new project which I'll be formally announcing just as soon as I have some art to show off since the rest of the announcement is going to be text and all. To some extent, I'm kinda wishing I wasn't auditing that advanced modeling class since there's a lot of homework (not that I really have to do it since I'm not being graded, but that kinda defeats the purpose of auditing) and I really just want to spend a lot of on said new project... But I'll give it through the end of June, see how far I've progressed, and re-evaluate my schedule then if needed.

Hey.
...anywho, off to work!
She is quite possibly THE most biased person I've ever met when it comes to politics. She's such a liberal, it's ridiculous, even by Massachusetts standards. The seminar today was awful. She kept interrupting with her own opinions and shutting people down who had to argue that Bush shouldn't have been impeached. And we didn't get to choose which side to argue... which sucked. There was a small little error in one of my arguments that NO ONE ELSE WOULD HAVE NOTICED because it was some OBSCURE bit about President Bush but then she had to go and interrupt me and keep talking about how I should do my research and I DID research for like two hours yesterday, which is more than the majority of the class can say! AGH!Josiah wrote:Hi! Wow Saber, your history teacher sounds rather biased there. I don't think Bush's administration was particularily corrupt. Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Well...I can finally watch youtube videos again! Apparently, all I needed to do was do something with Java...nothing having to do with Adobe or anything...ah well. I'm happy!
I was told something quite odd at school today by one of my friends. I didn't know whether to take it as a compliment or what. One of my friends said I looked a bit like Anakin Skywalker. Like I could be his twin sister or a female version of him...yeah...I do really like Anakin though, so, for now, I'm taking it as a compliment. I guess it is kind of true. When I was little, my hair was closer to a blond color then it is now, and I have the right color eyes, light blue....now that I think about it, it's a bit creepy how similar we are. o_o In both appearance and a bit in personality...
Oh, speaking of my friends at school, I asked them today what they thought my all-time favorite song was. I got lots of Rammstein songs, R.E.M. songs and even a few Metallica and Collective Soul songs. Nobody guessed right though. My favorite song is an old one called "Daisy Bell" or sometimes just "Daisy". Yes, the song HAL-9000 sung at the end on 2001: A Space Odyssey. I'm pretty sure it will always be my favorite song.
In other news: Chocolate, homework, then bed.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I just heard that there's going to be a Hatsune Miku concert at Anime Expo this year. I was already toying with the idea of going and now I really really want to go... LA is only a six hour drive from here and I've done it before. But there's a couple of problems... First off, between current gas prices and hotel costs, it would be fairly expensive and I'm not really making much money right now. More importantly, while they haven't announced the time yet, the Miku concert is going to be on a Saturday. Which means that, unless it's in the evening, I can't go because of shabbat. Sigh...
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
If Sega's not the one in charge of it, it's not worth it. Keep 5pb away from this one.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Actually SEGA is running it. From what I heard, they're basically redoing Tokyo's 2010 Giving Day concert. So it should be awesome. But there's still that time of day problem so I'm gonna to wait and see for now.
