Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Speaking as someone who has been horribly depressed in the past, I credit my current emotional stability to the right combination of anti-depressants. And while taking drugs for depression may not sound like an effective solution, it has helped me significantly in dealing with my own mental illness.
Sooooo anyways, I am now officially recovered from my wisdom-teeth removal surgery, so w00t to that. Oh yeah, and the largest Ikea in Canada is currently being constructed within a few kilometres of my house, so that's kind of cool as well.
Let's see, what else... Um... I've discovered that rye bread tastes way better with peanut butter and jam than regular bread. N'stuff. So yeah.

Hi! My parents are back from their trip and that's about it. I'm planning to stay with them in Colorado till around the end of the month and then go to Arizona or somewhere else depending on job stuff.

Moi,
Yay! Wisdom teeth are now out!....but I am in quite a bit of pain. The sides of my mouth are a bit swollen, but ice and ibuprofen are helping that. I'm amazed that I'm able to take these huge pills to. Other then that, for the past...almost 24 hour now, i've just been sleeping, eating soft foods and playing Pokemon Platinum.
Right now, if I wasn't recooperatng, I might have been at a friend's 16 birthday gathering. Oh well, at least I had enough time to make her a present and have one of my friends give it to her. I'm pretty sure she'll love what I gave her.
In other news: Yay for oatmeal, pudding, water, and ice cream. (And these pain pills. A big thanks to them.)

Hi!
oh hey, 1300 pages.
Today was a major downer. I expected to go to a friend's house today at 2:00. Never made it. So, while I couldn't go there, I decided to make an entry for my school's contest. Which the rules are:
Draw the Mascot for the Baseball team. It's dog tag (cuz it's a bulldog) must say "DAWG". You win $25 gift card to store of your choice.
...Hoping that Gamestop is an option, but why would the school have a Gamestop option anyways. But it's going to be a free gift card if I win anyways, so all is well.
I'm also trying to fix my spriting, because the last ones I made shouldn't count as original sprites because they were kinda directly based off of another. They also looked a lil' goofy.
Anyways, YAY! IT'S NOT APRIL FIRST ANYMORE!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Heso! It's not bad to use sprites directly based off of someone, especially as a beginning spriter. Everyone starts with simple recolors. That's how you learn what looks good on a sprite and what doesn't, as well as start to understand what makes each style of spriting different. You don't just rush into re-posing and custom sprites.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! I agree with Silver. Making good completely original sprites isn't easy. It's best to start slow. First some recolors and edits and then maybe alternate poses before trying to make a sprite entirely from scratch.

Moi.
Yep! They're both right. Start out slowly with spriting, like recolors. Once you think you've "mastered" it, then you can get into more involved things.
I can do some scratch sprites of pokemon, but they mainly end up looking crustacean-like....I'm still working on "perfecting" my human sprites. They do get pretty challenging, and they normally end up looking chibi or having weird anatomical mistakes. Most of the time, if I need a human sprite, I just take a pokemon trainer sprite and edit a few things on them. (I don't really know of any other sprites I can use...) Just keep trying is all I can say.
Blah....the side of my face where I got my wisdom teeth out are a bit swollen...I think, to my parents, I've been demoted to Chipmunk status...>_>;

Hey!
Not in one of the best moods lately, because of thinking about this girl I'm having really strong feelings for, unlike my previous dates and girlfriends... I haven't seen her in ages, and she's so good a friend to me, too. I've been thinking so much lately. On the side note, I went to a Christian retreat yesterday, and it was awesome! I've been praying the Lord will help me through all this drama lately, and I believe I can do it, too.
Peace out!

Hi! Nothing exciting going on here. I might go see Source Code today, but that's about it. Otherwise I've just been hanging out, sending job applications, and doing some work for my dad. Along with my continued rereading of One Piece (just finished Water Seven) and playing KH Re:coded, of course.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hellou everyone!
I would now like to say that I'm going to be taking a leave of absence for the rest of the school year. I've been dealing with a lot of crap these past few weeks as it seems everything that can go wrong has. I've gone to to competitions, trying to balance them both with schoolwork, and lost them both and A's in several classes due to that fact. Also, there has been some teacher related grading errors on their part that have to be worked out with the most tenacious and adamant of all my teachers and I am expecting it to end with the principal as an arbitrator. Wish me luck with that. Also, I've been losing studying time trying to balance clubs, senior exit, and school already, and I don't really want to add the internet to that list. Especially with APs coming up. Word of advice, don't take 6, especially if two are rumoured to be the worst teachers in the school.
I'm not exactly sure what I just typed, but I'm sure I got the basic point across. Anyway, just wanted to say goodbye before I disappeared for a while. This is Phonox saying Au Revoir.

Hey.
Anyway, wow. I'm wicked impressed. Good luck with everything! I guess you're not going to be around, so I can't ask what AP classes you're taking, but, oh well!
Geeze... suddenly, the fact that I'm worried about my AP Physics B test tomorrow seems kind of silly.... 6 APs.... you'd have to be a freaking GENIUS.... and HOW on earth would you have enough time for homework..... *keeps muttering in disbelief*
Holy crap. 6 AP classes?! I've never heard of anyone taking that many... I don't think you possibly could at my high school, the way they schedule classes! You'd have to be ridiciulously lucky and all of your classes would have to line up perfectly... which would never happen, because of all the budget cuts. The most I've ever heard of is 5, and those kids are insane. Hell, everyone's calling me insane for signing up for 4 AP classes next year! Most people thought I was crazy for taking 3 this year, as a matter of fact...Phonox wrote:Especially with APs coming up. Hi! Good luck, Phonox!
Still nothing too exciting going on with me. One of the companies I applied to sent me a design test of sorts so I've been working on that. It's taking a while since I had to actually design an entire game concept and a level for said game (complete with layout map and mock screenshot), but I'm almost done.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Greetings!
All my 8th grader buddies are not only going to the local highschool but they are also going to farther schools! Man, I'm going to miss them....
Oh yeah, 7th grade year will end too. Like all other grades end at the same time. But we have a standardized test coming up. And a research paper.... ugh. And I completed most other projects too. But now that I know another one's coming up AND it's a new marking period meaning we need to get more project grades... ugh. Just uggh.
We've been doing nothing aside from flat studying the past 3 days, and the rest of the week too. It's rather boring.

Moi,
Man, at first, I thought that my mouth would be hurting the most right after I get the wisdom teeth out, but it is pretty painful now that it's healing more. I'm hoping I have enough pain pills to last until my mouth heals up completly....
Wotd of advice, never ask your friends "What do you think I should draw now?". Me and a friend we doing some request from out fellow Anime club members, and one person blurted out "UNICORNS!" We both decided to do picture of unicorns, but make them look as weird as possible. Mine turned out to be...well...I might post it in my art stuff later, but my friend...wow...when she has an art block, she draws some pretty weird stuff. It was a very simple sketched out unicorn with buck teeth, bugging googly eyes, flying up a rainbow....yeah...The entire Anime club is basically like that. Very odd...and proud of it!

Wow, page 1300!
Hola~!
I'm back, for a bit probably...
I guess I'll just hit the basics:
I'm in Spanish 3 now (kill me D'x)
I got a 3DS last Sunday :3 I got Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars. (It was the only cool 3DS game Wal-Mart had at the time)
I got my learners permit on March 3 ^^
Oh, and I got ISS for something I didn't do (My friend was playing a game, and thought I was too, and he 'attacked' me in my 2nd period before the bell and my teacher sent us to indefinite ISS =.=)
