HECK YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Anywho, I've been sick, too, though not quite as bad. A combination of mentally willing it away/pain meds have made me feel better... though I've been feeling increasingly sick upon waking each morning for the past 3 days, then feeling mostly better by the end of the day... hoping tomorrow I don't feel sicker than I did this morning because this morning was ugh.

Oh, and I made ice cream in a bag using the magic and/or science of ice and salt. BAM.

Alright. I've got my books. I've packed up my clothes. I am no longer going to be a slave to the internet. I'm going back to Rhodes tomorrow, and I swear, I will do better this semester.

Also, congrats on your job and subsequent move to Japan, Josiah. Good luck, have fun, and if you teach in japan again, then it would only be logical to teach high schoolers.

Heso! I was always the same way, Saber... I'd wake up feeling terrible, but a few hours later I'd be fine. My mom would always comment about how great it was that I never got sick, because I was so easy to take care of. I'd respond, "But I AM sick!" And she'd say, "Well, you seem fine to me." Then I'd realize that I was fine, and maybe the sickness was just because I didn't want to get out of bed... Then I realized I'd never be able to take a sick day from school, work, or anything, ever again, and I was sad.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Yeahhhh, I get the same type of thing a lot... usually it's just really bad in the morning, but it will still carry over for the rest of the day... I usually get better as the day goes on, but the few times I feel worse... yeah, those are the times where I'm really sick. However, haven't had a sick day since like 7th grade, I believe... maybe 6th. In 6th I missed a week and a half of school straight... yeah, was really sick that time. Like, getting up to get myself a cup of water pretty much drained all my energy. Same with sitting up, so I had to lie down... and then that clogged my lungs and got me sicker. Wheee.

Anywho, I had woken up on Thurs with a minor sore throat, it got better as the day went on. Woke up on Fri with a pretty powerful sore throat, but I ignored it and went on with my life, and it got better. Then I woke up on Saturday with a major sore throat and a stuffy nose and a small headache....took some meds, got better as the day went on. Today, it got better, though! Only a small sore throat, small headache, and still pretty powerful stuffy nose... but definitey better than yesterday, so I'm not getting increasingly worse, which is nice!

So... back to working on Eye of the Tiger on piano... tomorrow, I should be getting the 2-3 other pieces that I need to have down by Saturday >.<

Greetings!

I wasn't in school today because I was sick! But I got to my computer the time I would everyday....

Unfortunately, sick days do not mean:
"Oh boy! No school! I can sit and play with my computer all day!"
Sadly it's:
"Oh boy. Medicine. *falls asleep*"
This morning was terrible. I needed to push myself to the point of tears just to speak. I had no fever, but my face was ghost pale, and I was aching. It still hurts a bit to talk, but now only my left shoulder is aching. Kinda weird but whatever. I guess it's like what Saber said, as the day progresses you start feeling better.
Now I'm scared to go back to school tomorrow and receive a lot of work to do.

Hi!

I haven't been on or posting for a while because I was busy studying for exams, plus I'm really addicted to playing my new guitar. I'm getting a new amp probably by Friday, and I'm really hyped. For once, though, I don't want any snow this week. Why? We're supposed to have a day off on Friday, and if we get snow tomorrow, we lose Friday as a day-off. Oh well... I wish they'd make-up another day.

Hi! Sorry for dissapearing for a few days. Unlike everyone else, I wasn't sick. Just didn't really have any time to get online. I was out a lot (as you'll know if you read my travelogue posts) and then I had to write those travelogue posts and edit the photos and everything which takes quite a long time. Anyway, had my first day of work today. It seemed to go well, though all I did was watch a couple of classes and sit at my desk all day (spent most of the time reviewing the English textbooks they use and studying Japanese). Anyway, I finally have a bit of time to spend online (and go through all the stuff I bought at Akihabara). Sorry to hear so many of you were sick though.

Hihi ^_^

Grats and Good Luck with you're job Josiah.

Hope you guys feel better soon, Poison and Saber.

Update on Kaida land. I don't know how much you guys have heard but we've currently got lots of flooding over here in Kaidavilladge... okay so its Brisbane but yeah. 8 meter wall of water hit Towoomba (west of Brisbane CBD) yesterday (Flash Flooding) and today the Brisbane River burst its bank and has been steadily rising, their expecting it to peak on thursday.

Death toll is at 10, 78 people are missing. A third of Ipswitch is expected to be flooded. We're currently looking at the worst flooding in 35 years.

I'm alright were I am but seriously worrying about Robby. He's supposed to start work in 3 hours and I don't want him to go. Theres lots of roads flooded and the area where he works is close to the Brisbane river and is one of the "danger zones". (His employers/managers think its just a bit of water and don't think the area's in any danger).

I somehow don't think I'm going to get any sleep tonight. (Also sorry about the depressing news)

Hi! I really should pay a bit more attention to the news... Good luck, Kaida!

On a much less serious note, I figure that some of you might appreciate all the stuff I bought in Akihabara the other day (along with a few things from the flea market and Pokémon Center the day before) so I present my list of too much stuff that I purchased so far in Japan (in no real order):

Regular Games:
Project Diva for PSP (Nice to have a good new music game that doesn't require plastic instruments and a bunch of friends.)
428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de for PS3 (It was on sale and I really really want to play it, all the kanji is a serious problem though.)
Archaic Sealed Heat for DS (Once again, the kanji is a problem but it was only 500 yen.)
Fate/Extra for PSP (Another game that I really want to play but will have a lot of trouble reading.)

Figurines:
Some 8-bit Mario figurines (Only 100 yen at the flea market!)
A complete set of the latest series of Kingdom Hearts 2 figurines.
Rin, Haruhi, Yuki, Hope, Sazh, Mini Ashe, Mini Fran, Mini Yuna, and Mini Basch

Music:
The Marry Poppins and Pocahontas soundtracks (100 each yen at the flea market.)
Gackt's Moon album, See-Saw's Dream Field, and AKB48's Beginner (Gackt and See-Saw I like, AKB I don't know but everyone says they're great.)
Soundtracks for: Kanon, Fate/Stay Night, the Mario & Luigi games, Gundam Seed, the original three Saga games (aka Final Fantasy Legend) and Macross Frontier
I think a couple of my visual novels came with bonus music discs too...

Visual Novels:
Fate/Stay Night (Already played it but I wanted a legit copy.)
Fate/Hollow Atraxia
Kanon (As with Fate, already played but needed a real copy.)
Air
Clannad
Utawairumono
Xenosaga Freaks (No English patch for this one as far as I know, but I like Xenosaga and it was only 200 yen.)
Umineko Episodes 5 - 8

Misc:
A plush of the new flying squirrel pokémon (Had to get something at the Pokémon Center.)
A Pokémon Center stretch penny, er, coppy penny like disc.

Now I just need to decide which visual novel to play first...

Heso! Kanon, Air, and Clannad, all in one go... geez. And it looks like you beat Colly to Umineko! ...On account of Book 8 just came out at Comiket. We've read through Book 7, and from what people have said about Book 8, I'm... a little worried.

Still... that list proves to me why I should never go to Japan. I'd go broke so fast...

Hi! Yeah, I kinda blew through all my spending money in one day even though I found really good prices for everything... Hopefully I'll get more money soon. And I totally forgot to look for Battle Moon Wars and Tsukihime so I'll have to brave the adult sections again at some point (plus I couldn't find Tears to Tiara last time so...). As for Umineko, I was just gonna wait and buy the download off Witch Hunt, but since they won't put the full set of four up for sale until they translate 8 I figured I might as well just get it now then I can start playing any time. Speaking of which, do you know if they're planning to translate the fan disc as well? If so, I should pick up a copy...

Unfortunately, it seems that the patches for most of the visual novels I got aren't quite done yet. Air and Fate/Hollow Atraxia are all in the middle somewhere and Clannad is pretty far but they haven't actually released a patch program yet (though if I want to deal with all the scene files myself I could get it running). Annoyingly, I'm not sure if the current Witch Hunt patch will work with the 5 - 8 DVD either. And, just to be annoying, the patch of Utawarirumono only works with the DVD version and I have it on CDs so now I have to torrent an iso. -.- Well, it's not like I have time to play them all right now anyway. Guess this will make it easier to choose the order to.

Umineko Tsubasa? Don't know about a patch, but I know just about everything on there has already been translated. Ryukishi wrote them all in short story form originally, and you can find English translations of those around here. So I hope someone puts together a patch - if not, you can always just read along with the translation. Be warned that some of them have spoilers, though.

And yeah I doubt the current Witch Hunt Patch would work with 5-8, but... have you even read 1-4 yet? If so, why haven't we been discussing it? If not, by the time you get through all four of the first ones, the translation for 8 will probably be ready.

Hey.

So, we just got hit by a good ol Nor'Easter, so it meant NO SCHOOOOL!!!!!!!! Like 200 schools called it off last night before a single flake fell...... it's still snowing hard out there, has been since like 4 AM, if not earlier. Probably earlier.

Also, I am obsessed with editing photos using picnik on Facebook. It's way too much fun.

GAHHHH FINALS ARE IN A LITTLE OVER A WEEK.

Also, I have to learn 3 piano songs to practice with tomorrow... and know them VERY well for the compeition on Saturday... I STILL DON'T HAVE THE MUSIC AGGGHHHH

Yo.
The snow hit where I live too. And boy, I hear that we're still in for more. I'm actually not excited over it. I want to be in school tomorrow unlike how most others feel about it. I have Drama Club to attend! *standing outside* If only umbrellas were enough to cover the entire state though....

(By the way: Fun Fact! There are 49 states covered in snow! The only one that isn't covered it Florida! Gosh, even Hawaii has snow!)
I'm scared of February now....

For a second I had this image in my mind of like tons and tons of snow all over the whole U.S., with this random line where it just stops around the border of Florida... but actually, it's not so much that 49 states are covered, just that they have some degree of snow somewhere. That isn't so strange for Hawaii - it may be warm there, but they do have their share of mountains. Getting snow in the mountains isn't so unusual. The same applies to all those southwestern states with the Rocky Mountains running through 'em. They probably aren't covered, so much as their mountains have snow, meaning that it is present there and it counts.

Anyway, I spent the day snowed in with Colly! We went sledding with Melvin and it was fun! Also we watched "Megaman: Wishing Upon a Star" and it was... just watch it, guys. Seriously. Just watch it.
