Hello, many of you young ones won't know who I am, but I'm Shauni. I make the Realm of Monsters comic on the main Pebble Version page, I'm also a moderator (though i'm in semi retirement if I'm being honest) and I've been a member of these forums for many years.

I don't post as often as I should, and the longer I leave it the harder I find it to keep with everything that's going on....
I'm sure I'm not the only long term lurker on the forums, so I decided to make a "summary thread" for people that visit the sight infrequently.

I'll be posting major events on this thread that took place on the forums, or summary's of important discussions that are of note. Or, on running gags, members that have done something note worthy and competition winners and really good RPs, game threads that are worth a look.

I'm depending on other members adding these events of interest for infrequent visitors. So please, if something happens that's worth reading about that someone that only comes online once a month should read about, PM me and I'll add it to the list, or add it yourself here.

I don't know how well this thread will take off, but if it works, it saves reading through alot of the older threads for members that have been a away for a while and may encourage a few of them back.

Also, feel free to post things yourself here. This is very much a wiki style summary.

A forum update took place around the 20th Nov. Lurkers may find issues with some of the functions on the forums. Read below for Josiah's news thread.

As a quick heads up, I want to let everyone know that I've updated the forum software (no, that's not the reason the site has been going down from time to time, that was some upgrade my hosting company was doing). The update is mainly bug fixes and a few minor additions (mostly admin stuff) so chances are you won't notice any real differences (other than a fix to that annoying IE8 scrolling bug in really long posts), but let me know if you run into any problems.

it was started on 08 Dec 2009 by Winters Rage and has become a sticky. i didn't see that till today, but I figure it's a good place for lurkers to find out about new members without reading a million million posts

There are a few "new" sub categories in the RP section on the sight

Portal Panic
Compete for wealth, fame, and glory in the greatest game show in the universe. Or just fail miserably, that happens too.

Misadventure
You see a section dedicated to a strange RP based on some thing called text adventure games. The whole thing seems rather stupid. After all, who needs boring things like words and sentences in a game when you could be shooting zombie aliens in glorious 3D?

um....was that aimed at me or at the lurkers using this thread? This thread is to keep a tab on note worthly threads for users that don't post very often. It isn't really here to give advice on how to post. Stuff like that should really go in this thread
