Hi! I'm taking the final exam for my TEFL certification today. Since I'm doing an online course, I get to take it right here. They said the average time required to finish the test is 6 hours though, which could be kinda crazy. I haven't taken a test that long in years. But hey, it's on the computer and I have 24 hours to finish it so I can always take a break whenever.

My hamster died today. I just hope that she lived a good life... She was so sweet and innocent... So lively... Now she's just... cold... and... dead. Anyone know how to cope with the death of a pet, because I am LITERALLY crying my eyes out.

Anywho, 3-day weekend! Me and my friends are preparing for an archery tournament coming up early in November, so we're having practice tomorrow. So far, the best I can hit is a 40. It's so-so, but I'm aiming for the 50, still. Adios.

DEAR LORD THERE ARE SO MANY DEATHS THIS YEAR IT'S ABSURD!

Like... seriously! Just THIS SCHOOL YEAR! In the past MONTH! UMASS band director died, we were all sad about that 'cos he was awesome. My friend in color guard's father died a few weeks back. My friends' grandfather died a few weeks back (on my other friend's birthday, nonetheless...). One of my friends' friends (who I do not know) died yesterday and she was told about it at soccer practice. My sister's friend's dog died. And now Pikachu's hamster. What the heck?

Pikachu, I apologize, but you're totally ignoring the point of a hiatus... but whatever. The only pet deaths I dealt with were my mice a bunch of years back, but I wasn't all that attatched to them. My cats, on the other hand, would be a different story... The only thing I can think of is to lose yourself in something else in order to distract yourself. Or just have a big burst of talking it out and crying it out, then be done with it. I mean, it's still okay to be sad and such, but one giant emotion dump should help...

Ugh... all this death lately is just kinda freakin' me out... I mean, it's just been insane... Back in March, my friend's father died, and that was awful... now, just in the past two months, all the aformentioned deaths have happened. It's made me think a lot, too (also on top of the dream I had like a month back, which STILL makes me think)... Especially when I heard today about my friend learning about her friend's death at soccer practice... God that had to be so awful. I mean, I'm not even very close friends with her, but we're still friends, and... that's just so absurdly awful. I mean, how do you react to that? How do you tell someone that?

Just a lot on my mind, which I really don't need on top of all my schoolwork...

Hi! I'm going to avoid the whole death topic since I already talked to pikachu a bit about it via PM.

Today is rather hectic. I was rushing to put some final touches on my textbook so I can get the final files submitted...except that this morning they decided they wanted to have an editor go over things before it's all finalized so suddenly there's no big rush anymore. On the one hand, more time is nice. On the other, I kinda just want it to be over and done with already. Plus, I hope that the editor doesn't want any major changes...

Other than that, there's a big Italian dinner tonight at my congregation so I've gotta cook some stuff for that. I'll be back on later tonight once things calm down.

My mood is the greatest it has been for a long time! This week was just full of win, I have a new cell phone with the internet on it, I saw a double rainbow(!!!), got the purple skirt that I have been killing shops for, cleared a game for the most part, and made it into my school's Drama Club, which we needed to tryout for!!!!

Well, my book is done, except for that editorial pass and the Metal Gear screenshots (I'm supposed to receive permission and some better images to use sometime this week) and I finished my TEFL exam on Wednesday so what now? Well, I'm going to another round of applying to every game company I can find (haven't done that since the beginning of the year) instead of just applying for stuff listed on the job boards and I'm also going to do something I haven't done in years, buy a giant book of publishers and send out a bunch of cover letters in hopes of finally getting my novels published (I'm hoping that having the textbook to my name will help in that regard).

Oh right...I'm back! Yeah I'm on one of the school's computers again. I was kinda grounded this weekend, so...yeah. Well...technically, I was still allowed on the computer so...umm...I guess the only way to describe it is, if being grounded is like being in jail, I was on probation.

Yeah, anyway. Our school is having this thing called "Red ribbion week" this week. I guess it's a thing made to remind kids to stay of drugs and stuff. Ah, but, quite frankly, I don't really care. I already know that it's a really good idea to not drink and do drugs if you care about your health. I'm pretty sure that all the stuff I learned last year in health had been pounded into my head quite enough, and, at least for me, I get it. Drugs = bad, Drinking excessively = bad.

I guess one of the other reasons I'm not quite into this 'Red Ribbion Week" thing is that i'm not one to really care about any school activitiys. Never really have, most likely, never will. I don't play any sports, so I really could care less about them, and I don't have any of the "school spirit" that everyone says I need more of. If there's any kind of "spirit" i'm going to have, it'll be some ghost of a deceased Native American child or young warrior. That kind of spirit, I'll gladly have. I think everyone in this day-and-age needs a little bit more fear in their lives, or everyone will become lazy and bored.

In my opinion, schools go overboard with the whole prevention of drugs and alcohol. Third year in this school, and every term so far we've had a presentation about smoking and drugs and why it's bad for you as well as in health class, which is mandatory. If people still smoke after that, forget them.

Hi! Nothing too exciting going on today. My parents and I started watching the sixth season of 24, so there goes my evenings for the next couple of weeks. But anyway, my to-do list for today includes updating some computer stuff and finally filling out my ballot for the upcoming elections. Exciting, no?

Well not sure what is wrong with my comp at home. Last week late Tuseday night my appartment complex had a quick power out and back on (afew sec) and now my computer won't connect to my roomates router. Everything else seems to be connecting to it, mine and his PS3, his XBox and at least as I can tell his IPad (though that might be using something else) and I've turned off the power to the router to try and reset it but nothing seems to work at me connecting...

Hi! Did you check your computer's wireless card? Try connecting it to some other networks and see if it works.
