Hi.

A while ago, I thought about getting into D&D, but....no one in my family knows how to play....neither do my friends. I would like to learn how to play when I get the time to.

Ughh....I hate commercials now a days! They're un-needed, annoying, and completly childish! I hate to rant about something so normal in most people's lives that they rarely pay attention to, but I feel like I'm about to destroy my TV out of pure hatred toward those things.

*cough cough* Sorry about that. I haven't been feeling that well for the past two days. I get very easy to bother when I'm sick. (I think I have a cold or something. Could be related to my allergies as well.) Because of this, I will not be on as often as I am for a while.

....I feel terrible, so I'm going to bed soon...relax, maybe play with my new game that I have kept myself stimulated with for the past few days as I was sick in bed.

Hi! I'm finally making some serious headway on screenshot usage permissions for my book. Now if Sqaure Enix will just approve me request I'll be in pretty good shape. Though I still can't find the right person to talk to at Konami, Atlus Japan, or Sony, and I'm still waiting for a response from Valve (despite having found the right guy). Most companies are pretty agreeable once I find the right person though. Nippon Ichi and Don Bluth Games were particularily helpful. The only places that have actually turned me down outright are Nintendo and Type-Moon, and neither gave a very good reason. <.<

Hey.

Duuude once I've actually played a game of D&D so I know what the heck is going on I'd totally be up for an epic Skype game if that didn't take too much effort and invoke my lazy-ness.

Sooooooo we're trying to figure out how we're gonna play D&D becaaaaaause we have a starter book from 4th edition, but my dad went and dug up his old stuff... A 1st edition Advanced D&D Players Handbook, Monster Manual, Dunegeon Master Guide and Fiend Folio. My dad wants to try and play with the new rules, but for 4th edition we only have a start-up guide thing that came with 5 pre-made characters and a guide to being a Dunegon Master. Not many choices. We think we're gonna try and get a game going with the old rules, and if we dig it, pick up the 4th edition Players Handbook (because we went to the book store today to look at the D&D books and they were AWESOME and there were SO MANY and they were COLORFUL and didn't have black and white drawings like the old books and were so much more user-friendly....). So many more class and race choices that I wants! Old one... We've got Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Half-elf, Halfing, Half-Orc, Human for races, Cleric (and sub-class druid), fighter (and sub-classes Paladin and Ranger), Magic-user (sub-class Illusionist), Theif (sub-class Assassain) and Monk (which has no sub-class!).

But I told one of my friends (MusicMaker) about it and at first she scoffed but then we started talking about it around her and she started thinking it was cool and now we all wanna play SO I HAVE PEOPLE TO PLAY WITH LIFE IS GOOD!

It's gonna be: Me, a guy friend, PurplePrincess, MusicMaker and Tango.... with my Dad as DM. Heck yes. Not the layout I expected at all since this totally seems like a game most of my guy friends would play... they all like fantasy...

And I went go karting wtih Purple and Music yesterday and they slept over and it was AWESOME and SUPER FUN and AWESOME! :D

Type-Moon obviously shot him down because he's not Japanese, and Nintendo shot him down because they're Nintendo and they can do whatever they want.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

From what I know, Silver shot that nail in the head. Forget a hammer, we're using guns here. Which is sort of why I changed from looking into video games to looking into neurotechnology.

Just for the record, I've been playing practically all my life, and it just may be me, but I find 3.5 much more enjoyable than 4.0. But my dad prefers 2.0, since he had made his own supplements to that version. I actually stole a few of his supplements, I should find them, they were good.

If Skype allowed video conference calls, I would love in on this. So far I have not found this ability.

Wow, going from 1.0 to 4.0 must be pretty tough! I still have my handbook from 2.0 and the change to 3.5 (the one my games club uses) was a bit confusing for me even

As far as video conference calls go, one thing you can do (I think, never tried this but it makes sense to me at least) is to just open up a chat box with each member and just start the webcam with each person. It'd wreck your connection speed for sure, but I think it'd be worth a try at least.

I'm on a boat~ I always thought being on a cruise would be cooler, even if this is one of the cheaper ones. There's basically nobody my age, just my family, some really little kids, and a whole lot of old people. :-/ The scenery's pretty cool though - at least, whenever it's not so foggy you can't see the water, like it was for the first two days.

Hey.

Well, all that's around anymore at the stores is 4.0... so I guess we're stuck with that one (or 1.0 FTW!). My dad is getting really excited for this, it's kind of awesome :D He used to be so big on D&D and he's wicked excited that I wanna play and I've found friends to play (though Tango, I didn't expect would want to play (but I should have, it makes sense), and neither Purple nor Music (especially Music since she turned it down right away as a nerd game like I thought, but then we critisized her lack of imagination and she heard more about it and changed her mind) I really expected to play at all... (this was a long parenthesis)). We're still working on figuring out what's goin' on with all this wonderful new stuff, though :P

Hi! Nintendo said they don't liscense screenshot usage to anyone. Except that doesn't really make sense since I can name plenty of non Nintendo books and magazines that use Nintendo screenshots with Nintendo's permission. But I figured that arguing with the guy on the phone wouldn't help. As for Type Moon (note that they replied in Japanese which was a little hard to translate so I might be slightly off here), they said that they couldn't (or maybe wouldn't) give me permission since Fate/Stay Night hasn't been officially released in the US. That makes no sense either, since that's not the way the law works and I already got permission to use screenshots from other Japanese companies. On that note, I had also asked Type Moon if they had any interest in having their games translated and released in the US, as I've been toying around with the idea of starting a company to translate and release visual novels. They shot that down too saying that (once again, assuming I'm reading their letter properly) they don't want their games released in English because they're worried that a translation couldn't accurately portray the story. <.< So yeah, add Type Moon's games to the list of great titles that don't come to the US because of Japanese idiocy regarding foreign markets.

Guten Tag! (Good Day!)

Well....I'm very tired, I feel slightly sick still, and I'm out of dark chocolate! (apperently my parents felt bad that I was stuck in bed for so long, they got me some so I would feel a bit better. It helped....for the time I had it...) Anyway, ever since I got up this morning, I have been playing with my DSi, watching TV, and listening to Rammstein. Over the course of this time I was also practicing speaking in German, taking allergy medication, and doodling on any sheet of paper I could find.

Oh, also, a few months ago, I borrowed my godbrothers SSBB and Megaman Anniversary Collection games. I still haven't returned them, but I think they've forgoten about them, 'cause last time I visited them, they didn't say anything about them. I don't know if this supports my hypothesis or they're making me suffer in my own guilt....they really are such masterminds sometimes....

Hi! Just got back from taking my aunt and cousin on a day trip to Arches National Park in Moab Utah. Arches is awesome, though when ever I or my family take someone there for the first time, we pretty do the same hikes, which gets a little repititious.

Konnichiwa.

Bought Twilight and The Time-Traveler's Wife yesterday for 35 RMB in total. That's about $5.17. I feel awesome.

Just for the record I only got Twilight 'cause I'm curious about all the hype. Plus, as evidenced above, it was...super cheap. So yeah. I only got the first volume though; not really planning to read the entire saga. So far, it's not THAT bad, and one or two sentences were actually funny.

Time-Traveler's Wife I got 'cause I'd been wanting to read it for about 3 years now but kept forgetting to find it in a bookstore or library. Yep.

Finally, something to do other than use the computer or draw! o3o

Hallo... I've spent the last three days attempting and failing to come up with a post in Azuri, a testament to my current brain-dead state. Hopefully I'll be able to get something up tomorrow...

Writer's block is annoying, isn't it? Yes it is.

'Ello. I'm having a blast driving myself around without an adult sitting next to me. Not that I'm doing anything dangerous, of course, but it's nice not relying on others to take me to classes or friends' houses.
...And I still have homework that I need to finish up. Curses.
