Rant Title: ROM: The return
Heya everyone! Shauni is back in business with a comic…not by her! Today’s comic is brought to us by the great and merciful Merlin http://www.dhscomix.com/ over at DHS Comix. This follows on from the last “Evergreen” comic and is the first of four or five more to follow to end this arch before “Origins” begins. Things are now back on track in my personal life and ROM updates will once again be every Friday!
Keep tuned for more updates and FINALLY the fabled Origins of the main protagonists!

So, I realized some of the pages in your comic are computer-made, while you sketched some others. How exactly do you make it so?

All of the line artwork is done by hand on A4 paper and then scanned in. I prefer to work on paper for that part. Then, I either hand colour the comics, the result being like the one above and scan it in colour, then use Paintshop pro to crop, add some effects and add speech bubbles and text. For the full computer coloured comic, I scan the drawings in Black and white and use Paintshop pro to colour it in. I then crop, add effects and speech bubble these comics in the same way. if I have more free time I tend to colour on the computer, but the pencil work I can do anywhere, so sometimes I'd do a panel on my brake at work, or down time out. I prefer the computer done ones, but the hand coloured ones do have a more personal touch. Glad you like the comics.

You do all the outlines before you scan it in? Whoah, I can't do that at all, whenever I do my lines look like asssssss.. I think I am bad at scanning.
I think hand colouring is heaps more fun than digital colouring though, but it always takes me much longer to do. I really enjoy the textures in your hand coloured comics, it makes them look really nice :3 Also ohhhhh man that last panel in your latest comic, so sad, poor Lilly's mum.
