Hi! The slim is buggy? Lovely... I'm still thinking of getting a 360 soon and I'd kinda need a slim for the wireless as my game consoles are nowhere near our router (well, I suppose I could get an Elite and ridiculously overpriced $80 wireless adapter). You'd think Microsoft would have learned their lesson after all the problems with the regular 360...

As far as I can tell, The Slim isn't Buggy at all. Two of my good xbox Live friends have had them since they were released, and have had no problems with them so far. And besides, it come with a warranty.

And just the Idea of getting Halo: Reach should outweigh it anyway...
And as for not getting into FPS, If you play the custom game in Halo with a bunch of friends, it hardly ever boils down to shooting. Usually it's running away from a Zombie you can't kill or trying to run each other of a platform in Chupa-thingies.

Haha, it's page 1221...
Ohayou. Well well, we seem to get Internet here. So I'll be able to stay in touch (more or less, just 15 hours ahead of you all) for about two weeks. I don't know if I'm getting Internet after that, since I'm going to three different places.
Anyway. It should be around 6:36 AM in LA. 9:36 here in Shanghai. I think I didn't get enough sleep on the plane, because I'm feeling a pretty bad headache, and the room seems to be pitching back and forth. @_@ Maybe it's the heat...I can't stand humid heat...

Sounds WONDERFULLY like where I live... except... that being the only way it sounds like where I live.

So, goofin off with Hindi, tryin' to see if I can learn anything. Kind of fun, kind of frusturating because I can't get my throat to make the right sounds, and also frusturating because there are just so many characters, and when you smoosh them into a word they become really confusing. Now off to PurplePrincess' place. Ta!

Nice quote tunnel :P

Hey!
I'm not gonna be here today, rejoice! Or something!
I'll be at some local(ish) hot springs! Where the water boils out of the ground~
It's very dangerous, I've been there once before and my foot slipped into one of the colder patches, almost scalded it though. I'll be more careful this time :P
Oh, and the springs mix with some really super cold mountain water and form a nice warm/hot/cold swirling pool too~
The springs also resembles Lavardige, but bigger and real :P
Ok, gotta go now! Bye!!!

Hi! Poik has a point, there's really no reason to start big quote chains like that.

I did a little searching online. Some people have had serious problems with the slim, others haven't. It's too early to figure out how common the problems are or aren't though. If/when I get a 360, I'll probably risk the slim for the wireless. Not in a big hurry though. And, sorry Marley, but the Halo games really don't appeal to me in the least. Sure they could be fun, but I've got a zillion other things I'd rather play.

I have over 8 comics I have on my reading list and none of them I check every day :P I'm not the kinda of guy who can do the same thing every (or even once a week) day for awhile, I like to read alot of them in succession, plus, if the artists leaves for awhile, I get to (usually) miss it :P

I had fun at the hot springs, although leaving was the worst part... but I'll get to that later. (Oh, a note about places in Honduras: Nothing is really up to American standard laws, when I say boiling water out of rocks, I mean like gushing 1 foot high with people putting corn and eggs in the water near it; No guard rails, no life guards, nothing :P)
When we got there, we were on the other side of the river than last time and we had to go through this maybe 200 foot long cave to get to the other side, one small problem: That is the source of the boiling water, if you slip, you're lunch. Plus it was full of steam. I loved it though, it was adventurous ~ My mom and other non-cool sister walked around, sissys XD After we were all on the other side, us kids (Me(14), my older sis (21), older younger sis (17) Olga (One of the girls we live with; 16) and Teresa(25~?) and my dad all jumped in the river where the cold national park water was mixing with the hot water making it perfect. There was a little 'pool' off to the side where the water was that of a hot tub where we stayed when we weren't trekking up the river~ Me, Nicole (Oldest sis) and Teresa all started climbing up the river (You had to swim across near waterfalls, climb up almost vertical cliff sides without foot holds and jump down 10 feet rocks) to get to the 3 waterfalls. They were amazing and breath taking! 3 waterfalls, roughly 40-50 feet tall, all falling down next to each other. I had wished I had my camera T.T. My dad then snuck up on us after we got there. After a bit of exploring around, we found a little cave behind the falls! Near the bottom, all three of the falls kinda merge together from just gravity and mist and it hides this small cave about 4 feet tall and it connects one side to the other behind the falls, but it's kinda dangerous to get to so I felt like we were some of the first people to find it~ And then we all jumped through the falls and floated down river. (Yea, right XD Actually we went to the other side and jumped in, about 7 feet from the falls, to be safe.) When we got back we waded in the pool again and about 10 minutes later my other sis and my mom decided to up and leave with only two towel, one for. They left Olga on the other side of the river than us (and it was strong at that part) and about 10 more minutes later I decided to go over and get her; After a bit of coaxing and help I got her over to out little pool and then we proceeded to cover each other in mud and give ourselves mud baths :P. It actually was really neat because the sand/mud had alot of minerals and stuff in it and we just kept rubbing it on and cleaning it off, our skin felt definitely smother XD You should have seen Olga! She covered her entire body in mud XD It was sooo funny and we all just had a good time. Then, after the party of two were gone for about 20 minutes, we decided to go back. We rinsed off in the river. Dang! It was freezing! Like sliding rock cold! But it wasn't actually that cold, it just felt like it. After the short little hike we got to the car and asked for the towels. That's where things went down hill. They said that they left the bag infront of the cave for us to carry, along with the camera bag with the camcorder. So me and dad head back and look all the way up the river as far as we could (2nd beach up, about 1/4 the way to the falls) and about 100 feet past the caves. The bags were no where in sight. Someone stole the camcorder, 3 bottles of sunscreen and 3 towels. One of them was my favorite beach towel that I had had for 10 years T.T. I never had gotten the videos off of the camcorder from the beach either, so sorry guys :( I can't show you that cove T.T
That pretty much wrapped it up... We drove home, my dad angrier than... well let's just say no one wanted to ride in the cabin, even when it started raining... and made it back in record time, if that even matters >>' So that's pretty much what I did today...

Hi! Too bad about the stolen stuff, NG. As a precaution, I tend to avoid leaving my bags (especially when they contain electronics) anywhere where I can't see them, unless they're locked up.

Enough with the quote chains though, ok people? If you're responding to something from the last few posts people will know what you're talking about without quotes. And if you do need to quote something, just quote the last thing that was said, not every single quote that came before it as well.

Wow, NG. Really sorry for what happened. I would've loved to see the cove, too. I'd put that in the Rant thread. But don't worry, I promise you it'll turn up somehow.

Very, very highly unlikely, the people here usually sell off anything they find/steal, so that's probably what they'll probably do. Also, considering that we have the charger and everything else (but it's a hard-disk camcorder, so no need for external things) so it'll be pretty hard to sell or use cause it'll die soon.
Also, the likelihood that we'll get it back is very low because we live about 1 and a half hours away from Azacualpa, which is 10 minutes from the boiling caves. :/
Oh, riding in the car was good for my Pokewalker Ankletstrap (R), I somehow managed to get over 650 wats today without walking hardly at all! It's amazing actually~ Wearing the thing on your ankle/shoe is the best idea ever XD
Oh, I also got a screen shot of that Munchlax that I caught yesterday! And like an hour earlier I caught a Beldum~ I love the winners route ^^~

Hey.

Wow, that sucks, NG/Winters/whoever you are. I've had stuff stolen, too... never a fun experience. I lock everything up nowadays, I never let anything valuable out of my sight.... ever, basically.

Soso, I saw a word in Hindi, and I read it, without having to look up the characters. And then I did it again. Kind of one of the more amazing times in my life.

Yea, it sucks :/ Plus having our house robbed those 4~ months ago doesn't help >>' Ugh...
I usually leave my DS strapped to me, or my laptop glued to the table, unless I need to hide it, then it goes in my drawers or between my bed or something and my DS goes anywhere small and dark.
I have experiences like that for Japanese :D My sis gave me this really handy image to learn how to read the non-changed characters in Japanese (Non-changed means non of the little symbols in things like: ホ (Ho) instead of ポ (P, as in Pokemon/ポケモン) But I can't find one that tells you what changes a symbol into something different (Again, from ホ to ポ). Anyone know of something like that for me?
Heh, it's fun, I can read Japanese (for the most part, make out the sounds) but understand none of it XD.
.......___________
Over 600, 700, 800 900 (We need a strike out option T.T)! Wats (Plus up to 100ish used means 1000 wats in a day! :D) and 20k+ steps today, found up to 350 by finding 50 wats randomly too~ Gotten some cool pokemon including a Magikarp (the bouncing one), and a Beldum ~ So all I need now is a Horsea, the rest I have already gotten (Duskull, Bronzor and Munchlax). Then, onto warm beach! (Actually, I haven't caught a single pokemon in town outskirts, and the only one 100% done is Honnen field XD)

Well, the small circle there that turns "ho" into "po" is referred to as a "maru" (or "circle"). The only characters that use it are ha, hi, fu, he, and ho (they become pa, pi, pu, pe, po). The other mark looks like " and is called "ten ten." Almost every row has a form with ten ten; ka ki ku ke ko (ga gi gu ge go), sa shi su se so (za ji zu ze zo), ta chi tsu te to (da ji* zu* de do), and ha hi fu he ho (ba bi bu be bo). I'm not sure about the ones marked with asterisks, and I can't think right now if I've missed any...Josiah, have anything to add? ._.
I also know that the above tends only to apply to hiragana. In katakana, I've also seen the ten ten added to u, turning it into vu. For example, Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist is written as エンヴィー.
Konbanwa.
