The King of the Forums Contest 2010

The exact date changes a little each year, depending on my schedule, but it usually starts between mid-February and mid-March.

Time to award a few bonus points...

Saber gets 15 points for posting on more days than anyone else (except me) in Saying Hi. Nab was second and gets 10.
The people who made posts 6996 - 7000 all get bonus points (8, 10, 12, 15, and 20 respectively).
Sira gets 15 for her awesome mafia comics.
Silver gets 10 for counting posts in IPA.
There's also some people who received several points here and there for what I considered to be particularily good posts in one thread or another.

This was a good joke, but I saw through it.

Congrats guys! Go ahead and let me know which prize you'd like from the appropriate catagory in the first post. Silver, since you've donated both of your past KotF prizes to PV, I'll also give you the option of the King/Queen level signed book and PV strip prize.

The contest this year started out with a very heated competition between Marley (aka. Blastotoise), Phonox, and Saber. That continued for about a week, with Marley and Phonox running neck and neck and Saber a respectable third. Then, after about a week, Phonox dropped out to do some other clearly less important things, leaving Marley and Saber to duke it out. This continued for another week or so. During that time, Saber slowly narrowed the gap between the two of them but Marley managed to stay slightly in the lead. Then Marley got distracted by Heart Gold / Soul Silver (which he apparently couldn't play while posting on the forums), leaving Saber alone as the sole serious competitor for the last half of the contest. While she gained points at a much slower rate after that (since there was no one to get into post wars with) she surpassed Marley before too long and went on to cement her lead with lots more posts and a good number of bonus points (especially from the challenges, in which she often ran unapposed). However, with all the other serious competitors gone, Marley's large number of posts during the first half of the contest allowed him to hold on to second place. Similarily, Phonox managed to stay in third for quite some time before being eventually passed up by Silver's slow but steady posting. Also of note are Poik, who earned a whole lot of points during one weekend but that was about it, and Kako who managed to scrape together a decent number of posts during the last half of the contest. Overall, this was a fairly good KotF, definately much better than 2008, it wasn't quite as close of a race as last year and, of course, didn't come anywhere close the crazy amounts of posts made in 2007. Anyway, I hope everyone had fun!

A few interesting facts, comments, etc about this year.
1. Saber scored more points this year than the past winners (Phonox and Silver) did in the 2009 and 2008 KotF.
2. Silver has now won all three KotF titles (Prince in 2007, King in 2008, and Duke this year).
3. For the first time, I decided to score myself this year out of curiosity. Had I been competing, I would have gotten third (I also would have gotten third in 2008, though I wouldn't have even placed in 2007 or 2009).
4. I made the most regular posts of anyone (with Silver and Saber tied for a distanct second). Saber made the most game posts with Marley in second. No one made very many RP posts but Saber made the most.
5. There were more people in KotF this year than any previous year (as in, more different members posted during KotF than in past years).

That was my reasoning and my problem. Now... I'm 18. I order stuff online from time to time anyway, so my mom's used to stuff showing up for me. So this time... I would definitely like to have a copy of your book, Josiah.

I guess you can use blastoise sprites this time. It would make more sense since I haven't played brawl in, like, 2 years or something.
