Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Yeah, as interesting as some of the abilities were, I was glad when the Bount arc finished. I've been reading Bleach on OneManga daily for ages now, can't believe they're almost done - or close to it!

Can't beat dustflier either.Blue Fire Cyndaquil wrote:I'm back. But who gives a digit? What the factor is wrong with my life?
What company, Josiah?
your funny, Saber.
I'm obsessed with The World Ends With You and Bleach.
I finally beat dustflier in KH 358. then accidentally.... deleted the file.... saved over it.... *crys*
I've had a bad week. I've gon on 4 5-hour drives, my sister has been sick, My shool workload has tripled, And I've heard all the current Odyssey episodes at least twice. I did use a inverse matrix today, though. Why does Minamimoto reference math so much?

Hey.
Math. Ugh. Giant WWII test tomorrow. Double ugh. Big pre-calc test on Thursday. Yet another ugh... and also a Spanish quiz tomorrow... not quite as ugh.
Took some national math test thingy today... out of 25 questions, I answered 12... which is more than I usually answer on these things. And I was really confident about all the answers, too, which was nice.
Ugh... senior night is tomorrow for hockey. So, that means I have to make a t-shirt for my favorite senior (we have two seniors on the team... whee... I liked one slightly better than the other... not that they particularly like me all that much) as well as a poster... then hang the poster at school tomorrow and wear the t-shirt... yeah, not looking forward to this... as if I weren't busy enough already.

Ah, that sounds like it sucks Saber. Well, at least you have Hetalia. While it might not help too much, it'll at least make studying WWII a little more amusing
.
So snow's falling again outside. School's been closed already, which is awesome. But now I'm going to have to shovel for the third time. That probably isn't that bad to people who live in cold places, but here it's usually a one-time thing, so it's kinda strange doing it again again. But still, there's more snow to do stuff with. Yaaay. (The yay is either serious or sarcastic depending on your view of more snow, as my household is currently divided on the issue, as am I).
A few days ago I attempted to make a snow sculpture of a polar bear. I walked away while working on it and came back to find it had been crushed. There was a brief moment of mourning.

Hi! History can be pretty interesting with the right books and/or right teacher and while it probably won't help you get a job (unless you want to be a historian, history teacher, archiologist, or something like that), it's still good to know. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it and all that.
My only complaint about Bioshock thus far is that the main character never says anything and seems to take things way too much in stride because of it. I mean seriously, if I survived a plan crash, ended up in a creepy underwater city full of mutants, and was being given orders by some mysterious guy over a radio, you can bet that I've had a lot to say about it and a lot of questions to ask said guy on the radio. Ditto with Gorden Freeman in Halflife and, from the bit I've seen of it, Master Chief in Halo. In my opinion, the whole "silent protagonist" thing only works well when you can use the character's motions and expression, along with the way others respond to them, to get an idea of what they're feeling (like Crono or Link).

So, I'm sitting in my room, sick as all get out. I've only been able to sleep in three hour intervals because of the prescription strength ibuprophen. They swabbed my throat and found that I don't have strep, but I have to wait until monday to find out if it's mono, which is what they think it is. Bleh. I don't want to miss that much of classes.
Just thought I'd check in, because I haven't in a while, before I attempt to go back to sleep.

Hey.
Aww, feel better, Poik!
So... no one told me the WWII test was moved to tomorrow because I missed 20th Century Studies class yesterday because of taking the AMC. Well... at least I get more study time.
Ugh... I have not been able to write in way too long. There has been no inspiration... I had started two short stories, but the first I have no idea how to end becaue of multiple reasons... the main one being it started off based on stuff going on in my life that I really don't want to go back to, and another because I didn't really know where I was going with it in the first place, I just kinda needed a brain dump. The 2nd was also based on real events that I really would like to avoid going back to... and I haven't decided if I was going to end it how it did in real life. I'd rather avoid it... because the characters in the story, though based on real life friends, are just characters, and it's just based off real events... but I can't think of a good way to end it... either story... oh well.
Just haven't had any creative inspiration lately. It's no good!
Is it bad I picture Hetalia characters when thinking of the Axis and Allied powers? :PSiranae wrote:Ah, that sounds like it sucks Saber. Well, at least you have Hetalia. While it might not help too much, it'll at least make studying WWII a little more amusing.

I know what you mean Saber, I've been writing again recently, but until this story I haven't had any inspiration in over 2 years! Talk about a fickle Muse...
Heading home after my psychology midterm tomorrow afternoon! Oh so very excited

Hi! We did a Spanish meal tonight at my congregation. I made meat pies. It was bad, though not one of my favorite theme nights either.
I also tries out the demo for Heavy Rain today. It's interesting, that's for sure. I might have to get it for research if nothing else (being a game designer and all, I feel like there are some games I really have to play just because they're so different or influential). Not that I really want to spend the money but if it's for "research"... And I should have time to finish Bioshock and still play through it before FFXIII...which unfortunately comes out the day before I leave for GDC meaning I'll only get one day to play FFXIII then I'll be away from my PS3 for five days. Talk about lousy timing...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Okay, I'm really worried. My friend has been going through a lot this year, and I kinda haven't talked to him much lately, either, but he's been getting gloomier and gloomier. I talked to him a few weeks ago... he didn't tell me what exactly was going on in his life, because he wanted to sort things out before telling me (and he felt really bad about not being able to tell me), but he also was like "What would people's life be like if I never existed?" I did the best I could to shake him from that mood and assure him it was alright.
Just the other day, he told me what was up and that things had pretty much sorted themselves out and I was glad for him. However, he was depressed again today, and he wasn't sure why, and he was babbling about how he wanted to turn into a Nobody so he couldn't feel emotion. He was also like "I'm gonna go hit my head against a wall." and I was like "Not a good plan, kind of painful" and he was like "That's the idea"... the kid's starting to make me nervous with his ideas of masochism... he usually jokes about it when someone accidentally hits him in gym class, or something, but he's starting to make me nervous.
He's also convinced his parents hate him... they are strict, I'll give him that, but I don't think they hate him.
Now, what freaked me out most of all.... he told me that he almost killed himself two weeks ago!!! AGH! He must've taken a ton of Advil or something, because his next comment was "I don't think I can anymore - my body's developed an immunity to Advil." I'm wicked worried about him now.
Ugh... this school year... has been... way too dramatic. My other friend was just starting to be better... and now this....

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! You should probably talk to that guy's parents and/or teacher about what he's told you, Saber. It sounds like he could really use some consoling and/or anti-depressents.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I agree with what Josiah said. It's good to tell an adult figure who could possibly help him out. It's also good that you've there for him too.
You seem to be going through so much this year Saber. Hang in there, alright? *hugs*
So, my power was out for two days. Fun stuff there. At first it was kinda cool having a blizzard roll in. But then trees were falling a lot since the snow/hail was so heavy. On Tuesday it snapped a power line (which held a transformer) in half. Bye power. See you Thursday.
We were kinda pathetic about not having power. That night we slept downstairs by the fire and watched a movie on my sis's laptop until her battery life ran out. Having no internet, I played a preloaded Microsoft game. And Wednesday we took all our electronics to Dad's office to charge them. Yeah...
In those three days I learned the hard way how much we rely on electricity. Wednesday morning none of us could take showers, and on Thursday we went to where my mom swims to use theirs. We had to move stuff from the freezer to a cooler packed with ice outside. And at night there were a crapload of candles lit. We went out to dinner partly because we wanted to be somewhere warm.
I would not want to live in an age without electricity, if I had to live somewhere cold.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Yeah, I was talking to my other friend who I figured would know about my friend's OD with Advil. She was saying how she was considering talking to a guidance counselor. I feel so bad for her... she's had stress with this kid, my other friend, and a couple months ago one of her other friends started going all kleptomaniac. Also, one of her friend's dad is now having an affair. Lovely. I've tried my best to hlep her out, and I guess I have... but only a bit.
Anywho, as a result of having to deal with her kleptomaniac friend, she knows one of the guidance counselors at school, and when we get back from vacation we're planning on talking to her.
Yeah... this school year has been really chaotic for a bunch of my friends and I... ah, just gotta grin and bear it, I guess.
