Hi.

I wish I had insomnia. I can barely stay up past midnight.
But then again, I love to sleep, but I love to stay up late. Yup.

Ha....I don't exactly have an insomnia problem, as I stay up late by choice, but...I have gotten to a point where I won't sleep past midnight because I'll think it's "too early." As a result I usually end up sleeping around 2 AM. It's not good for me, I can say that. :/

Hi! I went to Salem around a while back (like two and a half years ago, I think). Definately an interesting town.

Didn't really get a chance to get online today since I was hanging out with my dad and brother. We had services, hung out a bit, then went to the Arizona State Fair. It was...like a fair. Lots of overpriced carnivals rides and games, junk food, and the like. Saw a hypnotist show. I was pretty skeptical about hypnosis but, after watching it, I don't know. I doubt all the audience members who came up were plants or just playing along. Maybe it's not so much hypnosis but tricking people into thinink that they're hypnotized? Though I suppose that would kinda be hypnosis... Anyway, it was a really funny show regardless. He even got this big tatooed guy thinking he was the singer Pink at one point.

The main reason we were at the fair was for the Bob Dylan concert which my dad really wanted to see. Dylan has some good songs. The weird thing about his concerts though, is that he changes the tunes to his songs all the time, so it's really tough to tell exactly what song he's singing at any given time.

Yeah, hypnosis can work on people. People who go up there and try wicked hard not to be hypnotized, it might not work on, but people who allow it to happen, it will work. Probably. My dad went to one as a kid and his best friend went up and got hypnotized :P Really should get to one myself, though. They sound like a lot of fun.

So, hopefully, we're having our first DI meeting of the year today! WHOO! I <3 DI.

Yo.

I'm seeing a hypnotist tomorrow. Actually, an X-rated hypnotist (yay college) so it's gonna be interesting :)

Konnichiwa.
This week's FullMetal Alchemist was pure win.
I'm sure the One Piece episode was win, too, but I'm behind and need to catch up on...maybe two month's worth of episodes so...maybe I'll do that later.
At the moment, though, I'm cramming for a midterm tomorrow, and the more I read the more I realize I should've started on this a long time ago. - -'

If it was to any song after the album Achtung, Baby, you're not listening to good U2. [/musiccritic]

Hey!

I passed my ref test!!!! Yay! With a 49/50, that's better than last year's 44/50. Granted, you only need a 35/50, but I was still wicked nervous (I'm from MA... I say wicked... a lot...)... go figure. But... I'm really excited to have passed with such a high grade :D Sooo glad I FINALLY got that over with. Now I don't have to worry about that hanging over my head all the time.

Done with ref tests for the year. Whoo :D

Heso! We discussed Hypnotists in Psychology class a little while ago... the most accepted idea is, hypnotism isn't forced or anything like that... it makes people relaxed and increases their natural tendency to give in to peer's suggestions. You do need to have an open mind about it, though, or else it doesn't work.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hey guys

working on a crazy new game for games section. Damn, I always get my best ideas when I'm staying up late.
Never did anything as crazy as this or as organized, so bear with me =) all I can say it's a pokemon type game and it's played on a game board.

Ok, you twisted my arm. It's an online pokemon board game.
Gonna be hard to created a bunch of pokemon playing cards. One done, a billion more to go.
And no, I'm not making a card for every pokemon, just the ones I want to put in the game :)

Hopefully people will be interested.

Gratz on the test Saber! Yeah, we covered Hypnosis for maybe 20 minutes of class last week in psych too. My teacher didn't really go over it much except to say if you don't want to be hypnotized you really can't be.

Urg...I am going insane. For a week and a half now, I've had increasingly bad insomnia. I've been trying to sleep for almost seven hours. Seven hours of tossing and turning and absolutely no sleep. Either I'm going to break down or just crash and fall asleep. Bah. I find that I shake a lot with insomnia, any other insomniacs here that twitch a lot or should I be worried?

Hi! Congrats, Saber!

Yeah, I think a lot of hypnosis is as much convincing yourself that you're hypnotized as anything else (so in some respects its a big placebo). When I saw the show, about half the people who initially went up on stage got sent off at one point or another because it wasn't really working on them. That'd totally be me.
