Doodleshark wrote:Hi! I'm currently on the fence about whether or not to buy Dues Ex on Steam. It's an older shooter/RPG. (which I love, as evidenced in previous passionate speeches about System Shock 2, Bioshock, and Fallout 3) But I'm not sure if I'd play it, since I'm currently in the middle of playing Fallout 3 whilst simultaneously fueling a Left 4 Dead addiction that has been renewed with the addition of the Survival Pack. But then again, the game is only $10 so there's no real loss if I don't play it right away.

Also, the Detroit and Vancouver both won their first games in the second round of the playoffs. w00tsauce.
Deus. Ex. Is. Awesome! It was the first FPS I ever played, I had some good times with that game! ;-D Sorry to hear your arm's still hurting Saber, I hope you feel better soon!

Also, I remember you talking about that game Flower before Josiah and I'm thinking of downloading it but I really don't know what it is. Would you be able to explain a bit on just what you do in the game?

Also, that's awesome! Good to hear you got your new compy Saber! ;-)

Congrats on getting a new laptop, Saber!

But remember, a laptop is a big responsibility. You have to feed it, water it, and make sure he doesn't eat the electricity bill.

Hope your arm feels better soon, too.

Hi! Flower is a little hard to describe. Basically, you enter the dreams of flowers where you use the wind to guide a flower petals. As you cause more flowers to bloom you get more petals, which lets you move faster. The goal in each level varies but you're generally trying to bloom enough flowers to bring life/color/light/etc back to the world. The graphics are beautiful, as is the music, and the whole experience is pretty relaxing. It's fairly easy (though finding all the secret flowers and getting some of the trophies is a bit of a challenge) and not really long (several hours if you take it slow and explore, about an hour if you just blow through it, and maybe 6-10 if you go for all the trophies). But I definately think it's worth $10. If you want to read more, check back a month or two in the Pebble Version Old News and you can find my review.

Congrats Saber! Be sure to install an anti-virus program and a firewall, if it didn't come with them.

Well just saw Jeff Dunham live and it was great! Gutar Guy came out first and did some songs then out came Jeff who did afew solo things and then went to Walter, then Achmed (with some improve, got to love the improve) then finished with Peanut and since he was in OKC he did a suprise skit with Buba :)

Glad I went. Most of the stuff was new material :)

Hey.

Aaarg....Windows Vista is sooo weird. Why couldn't the computer come with XP?

Ah, whatever. I'll get used to it.

Had a video chat with my friend yesterday. Was quite exciting and fun.

Dad needs to make it so that MS Word will work on the laptop as well, though. Right now it's yelling at me. :(

Heya Saber! I'd like a lappy right now. That'd be sweet. Remember: When in doubt, AVG Free.

We have our annual staff student hockey game coming up! It's in the local YMCA, so I'll just bike there after school on friday. Fwee~

I hope you don't mind me suggesting. Install XP. It'll save you a couple migraines. Actually, I'm not sure how compatible the hardware is, because Microsoft likes to make things difficult.

Sorry your arm still hurts, Saber. If it's any consolation, so do my legs. I never understood how that could be consolation.

Hey.

I don't think XP will work. I just have to tough it out and get used to Vista. It's not too bad, so far at least. Haven't tried messing with MS Word yet though....

Well, at church youth group we: Looked at pictures online of people tortuing Peeps (the marshmellow candy), golfed outside, replacing the golf balls with Peeps, and put candles inside of Peeps, then proceeded to wait until the candles burnt down and the Peeps started to burn.

Great youth group, no?

Hi! Why do so many people complain about Vista? I like it a lot and I've never really had any serious problems with it. But Suber, if you don't like the new start menu, you can switch back to the old style one by right clicking on your task bar, hitting properties, going to the Start Menu tab, and then choosing classic.

My parents and I, plus some people from our congregation, went hiking at Arches National Park today (which is why I'm only just getting online now). It was fun, but I'm not used to the altitude here (Phoenix is much lower) so I got out of breath easier than I should have. Maybe I'll stick a picture or two on Pebble Version later this week...

Hey.

I've had Vista for at least a year now, and while I don't hate it, I prefer XP.

On an unrelated note, I'm pretty sunburnt on my shoulders right now.

Ow, sunburn. That sucks. You need lots of aloe.

Yeah, I've had Vista for a while and I'm okay with it. The only problem I've really had with it was that I can't use Firefox. Once you get used to the new setup you'll be okay.

Happy Star Wars Day, everyone! May the Fourth be with you!

...Bad puns aside... uh... actually, that's all I really had to say.

Yeah.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hey.

Yeah, I'm managing with Vista pretty okay. It's weird, but not as bad as I thought it'd be.

Had a softball game today against what is supposedly the toughest team in the leauge. Our first game was against them. This time, we actually played a full 7 innings: no mercy rule. Lost 10 - 0, not bad. However, I didn't get to play due to my injury. The atheltic trainer said I couldn't. Apparently, I had torn a tricep (I think it was torn. Definatly the tricep). She thinks it will be good enough for Wednesday's game. I hope it is...
