So everyone is good at soemthing here. We got Phonox is amazing at math, I'm willing to bet Silver's teaching the teacher in English, Saber rocks at sports, we've got several people who can play instruments. We have artists and writers and... wow... you guys all rock!

Well, thanks Astral, but I'm really not amazing at sports. Yeah, I'm good on THIS team, but in all honesty the Summer travel team I was on last year was a better team. Definatly. There, I did pretty good, but most of the other people were better. Faster pitching, too. All of the freshmen who either made JV or Varsity were on that team. And, it's pretty clear that the best players on this team were on the summer travel last year, except for a couple other girls who are pretty good.

Though, it's kinda nice being one of the best on this team. That's how it was two years ago at Summer travel since there were two teams. Fun times...

Hi! KotF went pretty well this year and I hope everyone enjoyed it. The winners of the last bonus challenge have been announced. Winners of the entire contest will probably be announced tomorrow once I finish adding everything up.

We do seem to have a pretty talented crowd around here. Maybe Pebble Version makes you smart/talented, or maybe it just attracts smart/talented people.

On another topic entirely... So Silver, when are you gonna get this girlfriend of yours on the forums?

Hey....

Really pissed right now. We had a game today. I went in in the 5th inning to play catcher. We were winning 7-1-ish, with us in the lead. Pitcher strikes out two batters and we get another out. I'm really happy, since this pitcher sucked yesterday. Next inning. Bunch of errors in the field. Tons of walks. Score is now about 7-14 them. I'm supposed to be up second, but then someone goes out of order (which we could get called an out on for!) and goes before me, and gets out anyways. I got a sucky hit (the pitching was WAY TOO SLOW! It was honestly slower than BATTING PRACTICE. I got way ahead of the ball, and hit a loser hit to the pitcher), and got out. Was really pissed off, at myself and at the girl who went out of order. Went back to catch. Few more runs. Then, the girl who was out of order who I told to STAY OUT OF ORDER to protect us from being called GOES UP TO BAT! AND THEN SHE GETS DOUBLED OFF AT 3RD FOR MAKING STUPID RUNNING CHOICES! Normally, I'd try to be nice, BUT THAT WAS SO DARN STUPID! Honestly! How can you NOT know to RUN BACK when the person catches the ball.

Not only this, but that girl had run THROUGH 3rd earlier, getting herself tagged out. GRAH! She drives me insane! She's a good player, but she doesn't pay attention!

...grumble....long rant maybe later. I need to do homework, then go to band concert.

Well. I had the theory that the only people interested in a forum like this are the polite and patient ones. You will notice that this is a slower forum, and we do weed out unpolites, and it's rather evident in the debates that, unlike some other places, don't evolve into petty fights. As far as I've heard, these traits correlate strongly with highly educated, level-headed individuals. And, well, even though we do tend to have a positive learning environment, I'd say the correlation is a stronger influence on the talent/skill.
None of this explains why I'm here.

No, but I'll be honest, I'm quite jealous Phonox. Calculus Freshman year. Unless you're talking Precal, the only one in our school that gets that close is one of my friends taking AP Calc in Sophomore year. Not to mention our school system only has 4 classes per semester so we get less electives than some of the other local schools. This year was the only time I could double up in Math. Also. If I may reiterate... Probability. and. Statistics. is. not. math.

Hi! My recent obsession with Left 4 Dead has inspired to create my own zombie plan:

I live near the south-western edge of the city of Ottawa proper. Out west in a village beyond the suburbs is an massive old bunker-turned-museum where the government would have hid if the Cold War had turned hot. My plan in the case of a zombie apocalypse would be to try and beat the feds there and seal myself in until the worst of it passes. Then I'd try and head north to Nunavut (the Inuits there are probably the best prepared for a zombie apocalypse, and the low population, freezing temperatures and huge size of the Canadian North all make it a bad place to be a zombie) and spend the rest of my days living off the land in the Arctic. If Nunavut was too far away I'd just get as far North as I could and find an aboriginal reserve to stay at.

Anyways, that's my zombie plan. Any suggestions for improvement?

You are good at Psychology and stuff. You have you energy Vampire abilities and.. your long rambles using big words* are entertaining^^


And the fact that you HAVE a Zombie plan is both funny and awesome. Your plan seems okay, but just to clarify "Living off the land" means hunting and stuff so you will have.. like.. huting rifles and stuff right? Cuz you know the best way to kill a zombie requires a large gun to shoot them in the head.
