Whoo! Marching band practice tuhday!

Our section leader innint gonna be there, though. Not that there's very many of us in the section, anyways. 1 tuba (one of the assistant drum majors, he's a senior), 1 mellophone (section leader, he's a junior), 1 fresman trombone and 3 freshmen trumpets. So, while he's gone, our section leader put ME in charge. Hopefully, that doesn't mean I have to do anything. 'Cos, even though the other 2 trumpets are freshmen, they did marching band in 8th grade, so it's their second year, as is the trombone. They all just kinda never listen to the section leader, which is why he put me in charge.

Heck, our section leader in all likelihood won't be doing marching band next year (due to conflict with some other people in the band), it looks like I'm next in line to be section leader. Ugh.

Oh, and I've just started reading Brisingr. With this semester, I actually have some downtime to read! Whoo!

ROM Comic delays for Soap Opera drama reasons.

There will be a ROM comic on Monday as I find myself not in work on Friday. At 11am today, my place of work was subjected to a standoff between police and an armed man holding the building.

Sup everybody? Last night I got to see the midnight showing of Watchmen with my brother and some friends. Which would have been full on awesome if not for


A:Us having to sneak one of our friends in since tickets were sold out.

B:The idiots in the projection booth screwing up the reel and delaying the movie for another 20 minutes.

Other than that, the actual movie was pretty good. Almost all of the actors played their roles perfectly. (Except maybe Dr.Manhattan, who acted like a wormy guy) And the alternate ending didn't do much to hurt the movie, so it's all good.

I still think it would have been better if they kept the giant squid.

I'm really excited for Watchmen, I'm seeing it with some friends tomorrow night! Rorschach was awesome in the novel, I'm really hoping they did a good job with him in the movie too

Hey.

So, yesterday night I went with a few of my friends to see Mr. *insert name of Saber's high school here*. It's basically a beauty pageant...for guys. It's totally hilarious! I'd heard about it before, but this is the first year I actually went (which is too bad, last year had more contestants (I'm told)). But, the winner of last year was there (he's a really awesome kid, he wrote that play I mentioned that I saw a bit ago and is also captain of the Ultimate Frisbee team and on a high school DI team (the one that went to Globals last year)), and he was really funny. Along with other people from last year. It was all pretty hilarious.

So, Mr. *insert name of Saber's high school here* is for guys in their junior year, and they also have to have a girl as a sponsor. A couple people I knew were sponsors, and I also knew one of the contestants. They had to do such events as sportswear, a dance, Q & A, and they had a to have a "dream date" with their sponsor. It was amazing. One guy dressed up in a skirt and did a fantastic Sarah Palin impression. One of the best parts. There was also this awesome part that's kinda hard to describe, so I don't think I'll bother. Just assume it was awesome. :D

So, two of my guy friends are already planning to do Mr. *insert name of Saber's high school here*, and they were all "You should totally be my sponsor!". Made me feel good, that I'm popular like that. We all decided our dream date would be great. :P

Hi. Up here in Soviet Canuckistan it's finally getting warmer and the snow is starting to melt. Good riddance, I say!

Our kitchen renovations should be finishing soon. Which is good, because I'm getting a bit tired of eating out after nearly two weeks of it.

Hi! I'm finally on spring break. My plans for this week include seeing Watchmen, reading a lot, spending a lot of time playing video games, working on my game project, making hamentaschen (cookies for the Jewish holiday of Purim, which is Tuesday), and then moving into my new first floor apartment over the weekend.

Hey.

Went to see the middle school play. Tango was in it. Gotta tell ya, it was very weird to see the play and not be in it after 3 years of being in that play. Tango was always complaining about the play, to my complete and utter shock. There were new people running it (well, last year's assistant director was the director director and they got a new assistant director), and apparently they weren't all that good at it. I was expecting the play to not be very good after listening to Tango, but it really was pretty good for a middle school play!

Well, anyways, before the play some adult came up to me and was all "I remember you as the tiger from last year! You did a fantastic job!" and I was all "Thanks!". Can't believe she recognized me after a year.

Afterwards, the cast and crew goes and sits at the front of the stage to talk to the people. I went up to see people in the play last year. They were all "SABER!!!!!" ('cept they used my real name o course) and gave me hugs (well, at least some, not all). I didn't realize how much I missed them all. I felt like a celebrity! Everyone was all "Hi Saber!" or "Hi Shere Khan!" and I got hugs and such. It felt great! But...at the same time it made me miss play super bad, and it also made me miss all of my middle school friends. Going to high school makes things so hard. It's hard to be good friends with someone when you're in different schools.

*sigh* I guess that's life, but it's still hard.

Well, overall it was very fun to see everyone. :D Oh, and Destination Imagination went awesomely today. Regionals is in a few weeks *looks nervous*, but I'm feeling a bit better about it now. :)

This movie is awesome! They stuck very true to the book except for one small change near the end (Which I was actually pleased with), the acting was great, what more can you ask for?

Sorry to hear you feel sick Aura, I hope you feel better soon! It's good to hear you had fun with your old friends Saber, it's great to catch up with people eh?
