Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Bush Fires = Terrible.
According to the news yesterday the Bushfires in Victoria have rated among the World History's deadliest Bushfires. The official Death toll was at 173 but is expected to rise over 200, 700 homes destroyed and more then 330 000ha bunt out.
So far more then 88 000 Aussie's have donated $15.1 million via the red cross, that was by yesterday morning, so its likely risen.
And we have flooding in North Queensland.
And the rest of the country's suffering from drought.
And Kaida's having fun at Tafe, she's also tired atm. But compared to what's happening in Victoria, and North QLD Kaida feels lucky.

Konnichiwa.
I'm pretty lucky, I guess. The worst we ever get are minor earthquakes. I don't live in the area that gets fires, and we're too far from any body of water to get flooded. It doesn't rain enough to do any damage, either. When fires start, though, the smoke and ashes carry over to where we are, so our swimming pool gets choked with the stuff and it gets hard to breathe outside. The sky also turns red and gray.
Extremely randomly, I got into a mood for classical music. So for the last few days I've been listening to the Four Seasons by Vivaldi (particularly "Summer" and "Winter") and Concerto No.9 in E minor "From the New World" by Dvorak. Good stuff. It's kind of a shame all of my friends don't appreciate classical/instrumental music much; they prefer stuff with lyrics. As far as they're concerned, instrumental music is fine if they're listening to it while doing something else, but they don't like it when all they're doing is listening to music.
Maybe it has something to do with my having played piano since I was seven and with my dad playing classical guitar whenever he has free time. I could just be used to listening it.

Oh wait, we do get floods sometimes. But not in my area to the point of soaking the floors of my house. However, a few years ago there was a school a few friends of mine go to that got completely flooded, and they were out for a few weeks.

Hi! No floods or earthquakes in Ottawa, although last winter we did recieve over three-and-a-half metres (11' 6") of snow which pretty much threw the entire city into utter chaos. I believe you'll remember that every second post I made that winter involved cursing God for all the bloody stuff.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I have some good pictures of when we flooded.

Awesome.

Awesome.

Hi! I totally meant to get on the forums earlier today...but I had my morning class followed by some other things. Then I had to do non-forum stuff on my computer. Then, just as I was about to get on the forums, my internet died. Then my computer had to install some big updates. Then my dad called and wanted to go out to dinner... So yeah, long day. Though not too bad since I didn't have to do all that much homework (saving it all for tomorrow and Friday
). But I've got the Renissance Festival to look forward to on Monday (assuming the weather is decent), and I've got Still Alive (the Mirror's Edge theme song, NOT the Portal one) to listen to on my computer.

Cha!
The worst floods in my area close the odd roads, but they are fords naturaly, so it can't be helped. Guess I'm lucky were I live.

Hi! In around three weeks I should find out if I'm getting a pass for E3 or not.

I thought they only had fjords in places where there's been major glacier activity such as Greenland, Scandinavia, British Columbia and Alaska... Eh, whatever.
So anyways... I just realized that I don't really have anything to talk about other than the upcoming long weekend, because apparently next Monday is "Family Day". Yeah. I don't get it either, but at least I get a day off.

Hi! Actually Monday in the US is Presidents Day so we have a long weekend too, which is why I'm planning to go to the Renissance Festival on Monday. But, in the meantime, I've got a long boring paper to write on a subject I know very little about. Isn't college great?

Hey.
I'm on vaca-*cough*....*cough*
Erm, what I meant to say is I'm on vacation. Yeah, we're weird. February *cough* vacation. One week off. Yaaay....
Blarg. But, it's tradition that I get sick on February vacation. I've done it several times.
Ug...I better feel better by tomorrow. Two games to reff, and a practice right after. Maybe I can get out of the practice....
