Yesterday around six or so, about eighty percent of my county lost power. Someone said it was because a transformer exploded, I dunno. There was only one town near me still powered, the one right next to me. Go figure.

Well, on the bright side the swimming complex lost power too, so no swimming.

On the down side, my youngest brother was in the swimming complex, and the bubble started to collapse. Luckily, everyone was okay. Soooo glad the powers back, and that I live in an age that has it. ;-D

Har. I don't do the whole dresses thing. Me wearing a dress would probably send the whole world into a state of shock.
No idea what I'm doing for prom, but that's a few years off for me.
That used to be the case with me (I prefer jeans, thanks, they're much easier to move around in without flashing something inappropriate), but my friends managed to talk me into actually wearing one for prom. My mom sorta insisted on it too, so I went wearing this pale pink-and-white "princess dress." One of my guy friends kept trying to take pictures of me 'cause he knew he'd never see me in a dress after that night, but I kept blocking his camera lens. Didn't dance at all, and spent most of my time wandering the prom site, eating the snacks they had out for us, and watching friends play DDR.
It was pretty fun. Prom in general, that is, not the camera blocking. THAT got annoying.

Konnichiwa. Math final tonight, chem and "anthropology" final Friday. I'm ignoring math for now 'cause I know most of the material already and starting on cramming for the other two.
So much reading to do... @.@

If you want to leave your computer on during an electric storm just plug it into a surge protector (like $20-30 and they double as a power strip so you can plus more stuff into a socket). That'll protect your computer from any power surges. If you want to go all the way, you can get one with battery backup so that, if the power dies, the battery will keep your computer running long enough for you to turn it off normally.
... I HAVE got the computers plugged into a surge protector, but that doesn't stop mum wanting me to shut them off...

And Prom... I remember my prom... *wistful sigh* Last year it was.. wait a minute, my prom was pretty sucky actually. My dress sucked (I borrowed it from a friend. It was just a regular kind of dress, not one of the pretty ones like I wanted but couldn't afford. AND the material didn't like flash photography in a way I won't go into...) and I didn't have a date or even a friend to go with. the food for the dinner part was crap and... DDR!? YOU GOT TO PLAY DDR!?! Man! I was RIPPED OFF!

Hey.

DDR? That's pretty sick. Now, if they had Rock Band....

Speaking of Rock Band, that's the top to-get for Christmas for me and Tango. We both want it. A lot.

At the store, I played Guitar Hero World Tour the other day. It has a drum set as well, but the drums are slightly different. (Rock Band is just four of the circular pads in a role) Plus, they yellow one was broken. It was just hanging down. Nonetheless, I almost beat a song on expert. If it weren't for the broken cymbal, I probably would have beaten it. Though, I can't really say, because it automatically did the pedal stuff for you cuz they didn't have the pedal there. The pedal definatly makes it harder.
May the Triforce be with you.

Heya! I didn't like my prom, there was dancing, and only dancing. Nothing else to do, and I can't dance for the life of me, so it got boring very fast. My sensitivity to loud noises and being stuck in a room with blasting bass didn't help.
Anyways! Flying home in 3 hours, I hope it all goes smoothly, I want to get home. I hear there are new downloadable guns for Dead Space ;-)

Hi! As most of you probably know, I was homeschooled. The local homeschooling group did throw a "prom" of their own but I didn't go since I didn't know many of the girls there very well plus I hate dancing (unless it's DDR).

Remember, The Week of Randomness begins Sunday! Keep an eye on the forums section for the official thread...

Hey.

Our band concert may be canceled due to inclimate weather...
It's kinda raining out and crap, and it's supposed to get real cold. Everything'll freeze over, making the roads mucho dangerous.

Eh. We just started A Tale of Two Cities in English. The first sentence (well, rather, the first paragraph) is pretty awesome.

DDR at prom? Wow. To be truthfull, I've never played DDR before.

I'm so exhausted, I spent the day Christmas shopping. The only person left on my list is my mom.
I shopped at this neat new place. It's like a mall, only its outside (Which wasn't too great since it was raining, but the place still looked cool).

The PacSun was having a sale; buy one sweatshirt, get another free. This was huge since they're kinda pricey. So I got one for a brother and sister, and save around $50 :-D

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way--in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being recieved, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."

First sentence, and first paragraph. I dunno, it just makes me all happy how it rambles on so.

Heso

I didn't go to my Prom, but that because I dropped out of school, but if I did have one I probably wouldn't have gone.

And I have a new dishwasher at work! Squeeeeee! It actually cleans dishes! and we have a new oven too, and hotbox, now all we need is the new cold room and freezer and we'll be set.
